Pricing for entry is not that bad, and you'll have to pay for food. Depending on how much you want to feed the animals, you will probably need about five buckets or more if you want to generously feed throughout the whole safari, but if feeding is not your thing, then you will need five buckets or less. The drive thru scenery is beautiful. It was exciting seeing all of the animals and feeding them. Some were huge, and it was very cool to be so close to many of those animals, especially being 40 minutes from Columbia. I was kind of nervous because some of those animals were huge and strong or had a peculiar look like the ostrich. All in all it was an amazing experience, and we had so much fun. There's also a walk-through piece with a petting zoo. I believe there was a food stand and ice cream available. We didn't get out, but we will when we return next time. It started raining as we were in the safari, which was pretty awesome being paired with the scenery. Eudora is definitely worth the visit!!

I think that is definitely the way to go so you don't have to worry about driving and can just enjoy the animals. I've never been so close to these animals and been able to feed and pet them. They were so cute and this time of the year so many BABIES! I would do this 1000x more if I could.

A great zoo experience!…read more We took advantage of the CoolPASS offered by Experience Columbia, SC getting us access to the Riverbanks Zoo & Gardens, EdVenture Children's Museum, and the South Carolina State Museum and thoroughly enjoyed the weekend! This also covers your parking for the zoo. Easy to redeem by going to Will Call. A short 2.5hr drive from Savannah, GA was well worth it! Staff was helpful for any questions. General admissions gets you access to the Zoo, Botanical Garden, Waterfall Junction, and Saluda Skyride. They do have additional experiences at an additional costs but not necessary if you are okay with missing out of the petting zoo, animal feedings, the carousel, train, and the Sky High Safari. A couple of food options are available such as burgers, chicken fingers, pizza, sandwiches/wraps, and Kona Ice. Meals are easily $20 per person if you are purchasing drinks. No outside food and drinks are permitted into the zoo but you can bring refillable water bottles. Picnic tables are available outside of the park and same-day re-entry is possible if you show your original receipt. We easily spent 5 hours at the zoo without any of the "Explore More" options. A full day at the zoo is very possible! Plenty of shade and things to see and do! Drop-off or 15-minute parking is available if you have someone in your party who may struggle with walking from the parking lot. Bring your own stroller or they have them available for rent if you needed. We saw many families with wagons/carts.

It feels like you could spend the entire day exploring and still discover something new. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the history and preservation of the property. The historical aspects of the plantation were thoughtfully presented and gave us a deeper appreciation for the site's complex past. Our guide, Chris was especially amazing as he executed his explanation of the history of the plantation very well, and he made it worth the trip!

Our guide kept talking to himself, then stop suddenly to point out an alligator or bird by him, but by the time he got moving, the animals was pretty much gone. You can only see the same birds and swamp so much before it becomes redundant. Maybe some history about the family, the time period, anything! I didn't go on a guided tour of the house, just walked through, but I don't really know what a tour guide could have added with just those few rooms. The gift shop lady was outright rude. I got a shirt that was marked 20% off. On the app, it said 10% off any item $30 or more, it said nothing about sale items. She acting like I was crazy for asking and then basically said, "that's double dipping, it's not like CVS where you can stack coupons." Seriously! Then when my mom said that was deceptive marketing, she sat there and argued with her. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere they not only appreciate your business, but where they aren't just charging you for the land.

Great dollar value if you're interested in all locations mentioned. The museum was easy to find and offered plenty of parking in a lot shared with the EdVenture Children's Museum. They had many exhibits that our 7 & 12 year old enjoyed but they thoroughly enjoyed the second floor galleries with the dinosaur exhibit and the habitat exhibits. Staff was very friendly and helpful when fielding our questions. They also enjoyed seeing the the history of SC through the years represented through artifacts and the changes from the colony, war, and industrialization of the city with mills and the railroad. They also have a planetarium and a 4D shows offered throughout the day. Highly recommend adding this to your itinerary if you are in the Columbia area! The selection of exhibits were fun to see and educational.
