If you want to have a great wedding, this is your place! Co worker was wed here last Sunday and it was amazing. From the time I pulled up to the event I was so pleasantly delighted to pull up to COMPLIMENTARY valley parking. (I'm sure that was included in the wedding charge, but it was soooo nice to not have to worry about worrying about parking) The space was very elegant! The food and drinks were delightful! It was just a very very good spot for a wedding. Not too far off of the highway and all of the staff that day were utterly excellent.

Went here for a friends wedding recently, food was bland and service was not great. Our open car closed during dinner service and I asked the staff if there's a way to get a coke, he said, sorry, it's closed. Found black spot inside my ice, suspect they don't clean their ice machines, and might have black mold. Glad this is and will be the only time I'll ever visit this establishment.

Really nice place to book any party or any gathering. I went for a friend's wedding. Very elegant. The staff was super cool. Their menu included hors d' oeuvres, a main course, salad, bread, a main course, desert, and a very pleasant surprise after the desert which was PIZZA! Never heard of pizza at a wedding but it was great. All in all, the food was good. If I ever have something to celebrate, I will have it here.

These folks are not honest people! Is no stars an option?!! I attended a wedding here in August and I left my shoes on the chair in the reception room. I called to speak to the manager and was told my shoes were not in there. There was a camera placed directly over the table and chairs where my shoes were located. I asked if I could view the camera to see what happened to my shoes. I was told the owner is the only one who knows how to view the camera and I would receive a call back. I never received a call from anyone. I called to ask about my shoes and to review the camera everyday for two weeks and was told I would receive a call back. That never happened! Liars and thieves will be judged accordingly! Take your business elsewhere!

Our meat option for our guests was the filet mignon with whipped potato and green bean almandine.

My husband and I got married here just a couple weeks ago. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives! Having our reception at the Seville was a GREAT decision. We had visited a lot of wedding venues in the Chicagoland area and the Seville truly stood out to us as they offered exactly what we were looking for i.e. up lighting, dancing on the clouds, cold sparklers, trusted list of vendors, delicious food, etc. It was an easy choice to make too, once we met some of the great people who work at this venue. We met with Desiree two years ago which is one of the wedding coordinators at this beautiful establishment. She was there for us since day 1 and ensured we got everything we wanted for our wedding and MORE! I will never forget how she went out of her way to answer all our questions and she always responded quickly. She would call and text me even on the weekends sometimes and I really appreciated that she was with us throughout the whole wedding planning process. She stuck by her word and promises and I will truly miss working with Desiree! She was so kind, funny, and just an easy person to talk to! There were others that were great as well that I'd like to give a shout out to which include the IT crew specifically Eugenio who went out of his way to make sure all the audio & visuals worked correctly before our big day. Tammy is another great wedding coordinator that was able to help us a lot when Desiree was out of the office and we were lucky to have worked with her as well. Lisa was very nice as well and helped us check in all our lovely wedding decor and made sure we got everything back the next morning plus extra sweets and our cake topper. Also, big thank you to our day of wedding coordinator Yesenia! She ensured we got everything we wanted and needed on our actual wedding day and everything turned out perfect! This is truly a beautiful, well kept venue with amazing packages available and endless options to add to your day. The food is delicious and the food tasting is a great time to enjoy all their food prior to picking your menu! Their preferred DJ JAZ ENTERTAINMENT is GREAT and there are plenty of hotels in the area. They offer plenty of open houses throughout the year to meet with people and tour the place. Private bridal suite will be given to you as well for the day of your wedding. We greatly miss our wedding day and if you're stuck on whether or not you should make the Seville your wedding day venue believe me when I say they will do everything they can to make your day THE BEST. VERY HAPPY BRIDE AND GROOM HERE!

After we selected the Seville as our reception venue, we had countless people say to us, "I've been to a wedding there! Great choice! They take good care of you!" The Seville hit home runs for every important aspect of a wedding reception: Price, Service, Appearance, Food and Bar. Price: Planning a wedding reception is stressful, because you blink, and you're spending tens of thousands of dollars. And when your goal it to not go a nickle into debt for your wedding, pressure is on. After visiting a few reception spaces, we quick realized our initial budget number for how we envisioned our day was not possible, so knew we needed to find the best value for our money. This was ultimately why we decided to go with the Seville - we knew we would get the best value from our money here, and they proved us right! Service: The service was exceptional from day one. They had great communication throughout the planning process, and everything went so smoothly during our reception. Our coordinator they assigned us could not have been nicer or more accommodating! Appearance: It's a beautiful space, and over the past year, they redid everything. The new chandeliers in our room were so sparkly; it looked stunning. Food: Typically, wedding food is just "blah," but the Seville raises the bar exponentially. We had hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, plated chicken, family-style pasta, family-style beef, veggie and potato sides, dessert bar and late-night pizza. Our guests loved everything; it's been over a month since the wedding, and they are still talking about the food! Additionally, our wedding cake (chocolate mousse) through them was delicious! Bar: The bartenders were awesome, and the drinks were great. Our guests had a blast! To top everything off, at the end of the night, the Seville handled all of the clean up/organization of our center pieces, gifts and etc. An unexpected perk! We're so happy with how our reception turned out! It was everything we envisioned and more! A HUGE thank you to the Seville for everything they did for us to make June 18, 2016 the best day of our lives!

Had my wedding here on 11-09-13. The Seville really did a wonderful job with the preliminary and group tasting, the meetings to discuss the details and the execution of our wedding day. The space is gorgeous, the food is wonderful and our Coordinator Dre was phenomenal. They really helped to make our wedding day amazing and I truely appreciate that. The Seville offers wonderful packages at affordable prices that include your table linens, centerpieces, uplighting, chairs, dinner, desserts, wedding cake and open bar... and sometimes more! I really would love to give them 5 stars, but I can't for only one reason.... When we came across the Seville, we got really excited because the lobby & the rooms really fit our theme - which was an all out 1920s theme. Everything was smooth sailing for the entire year and a half of planning. The staff was friendly, and really worked with us regarding all our special elements. Which is why I was NOT ready to walk in for our rehearsal on November 7th and see a giant CHRISTMAS TREE in the middle of the lobby, and garland covering the staircase. Was it pretty? Yes, gorgeous. Was it appropriate decor for November 7th? uhh, no. We had planned to take our photos after the ceremony in the lobby because it matched our theme - only to find out 2 days before that it was covered in Christmas. Great. The staff that was there told us a few different stories: 1- This is always when they put up their decorations. 2- This was the only free weekend they had to put up the decorations. 3- It was my fault I hadn't asked about it before. **yeah, my personal favorite** 4- Another bride requested to have them put up that weekend. Regardless of what is true - whether that is when they always put them up or not - they need to tell people who are booking on those dates - by the way... our Christmas decorations will be up - hope that's ok. (especially since they made it a point to let us know when we booked that they'd be getting new carpeting in the lobby.) Honestly, I was just upset because every bride thinks about everything, down to the last tiny detail - and I didn't enjoy being surprised by this 2 days before our event. Thankfully the owner and manager went through a great effort to help make the situation better for us. They took down the garland from one of the staircase railings so we were able to use the stairs in our photos - and made other arrangements so we can re-take our photos on another date. I truly appreciate them doing all they could and checking in with us the day of to make sure we were happy. Overall - I would definitely still recommend The Seville for events and weddings - but my advice will be to make sure to check and double check all your details - even if you don't think it is necessary.

    Perfect lighting

So we had my sister's 50th bday here and it was 2 years ago! I usually provide input only when I don't receive good customer service. However, I realized that I should provide input on job well done! It was a Monday event and Seville is generally closed but they were able to accommodate us. The staff was courteous and Nick was organized! My family and friends had a great time and enjoyed the food! I also love the fact that we can taste any food in the menu they offer at no additional cost. You just have to make sure to sign up and it is done every 3rd Thursday of the month. This made our selection much easier instead of just looking at pics or reading descriptions! Since it was a bday celebration, they threw in a sheet cake from Baking Institute who also does free cake tasting session as well as the chocolate fountain with open bar and we were able to bring other desserts! The chef also made pancit which is a Filipino noodle dish that symbolizes longevity. They also provided the flaming banana show before dessert ice cream was distributed. They upgraded our linen as well and was able to use all their glitzy centerpieces! My sister was very happy and definitely made her bday more memorable! I hope to plan my son's double celebration graduation and birthday in June next year!

Nope, and instead I ended up circling around. But sure, enough, make a right when the GPS tells you too. Ignore that the car dealership is there, and pay attention to the fact there's a giant sign letting you know Vogelei Park is there. We had a barbecue at one of the seating areas with a roof and it was OK. The engineers who designed and created the shelter's roof apparently didn't like the sunrise, as the way it was angled, the unusual early June 90-degree heat and sun shone right on us during the early evening. After it got dark, the shelter had lights that illuminated, which was a bummer. Overall though, it's a great place to consider for a BBQ. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located in the building, the bathrooms were good, for a public park bathroom. It had a couple of urinals and stalls. Sit or squat? Squat.

HIDDEN PARK ALERT!! HIDDEN GEM ALERT!…read more When the sun came out one afternoon after a cloudy, dreary week, I knew I had to find some outdoor spot to frolic about in. Since I was in Palatine at the time, and wanted to go home to Roselle without driving too far out of my way, I pulled up the Yelp app and typed in "park." Too many places popped up, none were what I was looking for. So I tried, "zoo." One of the first things to pop up was the Northern Illinois Raptor Center. What!? I did a quick search on what it was, expected there was some kind of magical owl zoo somewhere, and headed out this way. The drive to this park is very easy to miss. I did miss it, and had to do a long turn about through a neighborhood to get back to the entrance, which is located off of Higgins at the intersection of Golf, in between a couple car dealerships. The easiest way to find it is to look for the Hoffman Estates Park District sign and turn RIGHT THERE. Then you'll see a barn at the end of the drive and a park. Whew. I got out of my car, walked over to the barn and older building, found locked doors, wandered over to a map, scanned the map, saw absolutely no mention of any raptors or owls or birds, and decided, "Screw it, I'll just go walk around the park since I'm already here." Fortunately, my disappointment was quickly dissolved after one leisurely lap around the park. Here's what Vogelei has: - A pond that's part of the Bio Swale Water Quality Initiative. I'm still not quite clear on what it is, but it's a water system that cleans storm water runoff of man-made chemicals while providing a habitat for animals and helping the environment. Whatever it was, it sounded and looked awesome -- grassy, marshy areas, a walking path, a picturesque bride and gazebo. And white birds with long legs that fly away when I try to take pictures (darn bird). - A rose garden. Not a very big rose garden, but it's a nice little rose garden with blooms bigger than my hand. I kid you not. Crazy giant flowers. - Lots of grassy areas for picnicking, hooping, and running around like crazy. The park district also holds concerts (mainly for kids) here sometimes. - A playground jungle gym that's shaped like a barn. Sweet. - A splash pad!! It's basically a large, squishy pad with sprinklers. It's turned on during the day -- all you have to do is press down on one of the buttons on the padded surface to activate the water that shoots up. Yes, there is a chance you could get wet doing this. It's fun. Take it from this lady with the crazy hair (oh, what a sight that must have been)! - A conifer garden: an area with a bunch of tiny pine tree bushes. - Safety town. One of those little set-ups where kids can ride their tiny bikes around a little town and learn how to be safe when they cross the street and all that fun stuff. - The barn. Apparently the barn holds some kind of banquet room that you can rent for events. Cool. The park district's summer camp also uses the building for the kids -- I kind of felt like a creep walking in there. Not sure what that other, seemingly abandoned building was for. I probably spent a good forty-five minutes lurking around the park. Not bad. Still no awesome owl zoo, though. Disappointed, I left and wrote this review. As I was finishing up this review earlier this morning, I decided I really needed to go back and find that mysterious magical bird zoo before finishing this review! Back I went... and instead of an empty park, I was greeting with a full parking lot and tons of camp kids. Definitely not the kind of scene for aimless wandering with a camera. Fortunately, someone pointed me in the direction of the raptor center... YES! IT EXISTS! ... which was in a cluster of tiny house-like buildings, surrounded by a fence to keep people out. There were no birds. The birds will be on display later this year or something. Bummer, but so glad I figured out this mystery! SO. This definitely isn't your typical suburban neighborhood park. I won't go out of my way to come back here again (OK, maybe I will -- because I already did), but if I'm in the area and looking for a quiet park to hang out in, I'd re-visit. Nice job, Hoffman Estates.
