Beautiful venue in the Northwest burbs. The staff and servers here are wonderful to work with. Bar tenders and servers are helpful, fast and friendly. When the room is set up for an event, especially in the evening, it is beautiful. The only challenge here is the parking. The small lot doesn't hold enough cars and parking along the dark side streets can be challenging and unsafe to walk, due to uneven sidewalk surfaces. I cannot imagine making this walk when it is icy or slippery out. Valet parking here can be an issue too with long lines to wait for service. I wish there was a better solution to parking. The food here is pretty tasty, as banquet places go. Prices are reasonable too. read more

The only hiccup was the catering staff--not as organized as they could be--never gave certain guest plates that were paid for and never served. I attended a work holiday party at The Seville. The venue is very nice and decorated for the holidays. The room we had was very spacious. For dinner we had chicken breast, pasta, slices of beef, salad, vegetables, warm bread and cake. The food was very good and I like the variety. The service was great. I attended a wedding reception at this venue and was very impressed! The entire venue was well kept and clean. The ambiance was great and well lit for a variety of photos to take as a guest. One thing that I was so surprised about is that 3 different wedding celebrations were simultaneously occurring and they managed to keep the flow with great ease. I was a guest in the middle area and could not hear either of the receptions unless I stepped out to the entryway. The bartenders we had were HILARIOUS and were dancing along behind the bar and they were open to making a variety of drinks for us. The food portions were very generous and the wait staff were quite efficient in serving and keeping the tables cleaned. Not to mention that there were PLENTY of bathroom stalls for all the attendees and there was miraculously no line every single time I was there. The bathrooms were very well maintained throughout the night, too. Not only did I get to celebrate a wedding, I was able to do so in a great venue. From the time I pulled up to the event I was so pleasantly delighted to pull up to COMPLIMENTARY valley parking. (I'm sure that was included in the wedding charge, but it was soooo nice to not have to worry about worrying about parking) The space was very elegant! The food and drinks were delightful! Our open car closed during dinner service and I asked the staff if there's a way to get a coke, he said, sorry, it's closed. Found black spot inside my ice, suspect they don't clean their ice machines, and might have black mold. Glad this is and will be the only time I'll ever visit this establishment. read more

I called to speak to the manager and was told my shoes were not in there. There was a camera placed directly over the table and chairs where my shoes were located. I asked if I could view the camera to see what happened to my shoes. I was told the owner is the only one who knows how to view the camera and I would receive a call back. I never received a call from anyone. I called to ask about my shoes and to review the camera everyday for two weeks and was told I would receive a call back. That never happened! My husband and I got married here just a couple weeks ago. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives! Having our reception at the Seville was a GREAT decision. We had visited a lot of wedding venues in the Chicagoland area and the Seville truly stood out to us as they offered exactly what we were looking for i.e. up lighting, dancing on the clouds, cold sparklers, trusted list of vendors, delicious food, etc. It was an easy choice to make too, once we met some of the great people who work at this venue. We met with Desiree two years ago which is one of the wedding coordinators at this beautiful establishment. She was there for us since day 1 and ensured we got everything we wanted for our wedding and MORE! I will never forget how she went out of her way to answer all our questions and she always responded quickly. She would call and text me even on the weekends sometimes and I really appreciated that she was with us throughout the whole wedding planning process. She stuck by her word and promises and I will truly miss working with Desiree! She was so kind, funny, and just an easy person to talk to! There were others that were great as well that I'd like to give a shout out to which include the IT crew specifically Eugenio who went out of his way to make sure all the audio & visuals worked correctly before our big day. Tammy is another great wedding coordinator that was able to help us a lot when Desiree was out of the office and we were lucky to have worked with her as well. Lisa was very nice as well and helped us check in all our lovely wedding decor and made sure we got everything back the next morning plus extra sweets and our cake topper. Also, big thank you to our day of wedding coordinator Yesenia! She ensured we got everything we wanted and needed on our actual wedding day and everything turned out perfect! This is truly a beautiful, well kept venue with amazing packages available and endless options to add to your day. Their preferred DJ JAZ ENTERTAINMENT is GREAT and there are plenty of hotels in the area. They offer plenty of open houses throughout the year to meet with people and tour the place. Still overcrowded. The severs are not friendly and took away my uncles salad when he jokingly asked where are the tomatoes. The appetizers never got to us. I feel bad for the bride and groom who paid so much and this is how the guests are treated. Again they don't serve the wedding cake and we're only concerned about taking away the charger plates. I saw one of the servers touching the dessert table with her bare hands. They allow three weddings at a time and the entrance was filled with people. Money hungry people who should be more concerned about the quality of the weddings not quantity and then maybe that can charge more. It's suppose to be the best day of someone's life and they take it very lightly by hiring incompetent staff. read more

I have attended two affairs at this establishment and I'm sorry to say I would never personally do any event there. They decorate a room beautifully, but there's nothing unusual about it. It is really more of a cookie cutter. They don't put a heart and soul in it. You just feel like it's something they've done and they go through the motions. Their buffets have no style or class just a bunch of serving trays where people pick it up. The staff is not friendly. They have an attitude that we're doing you a favor when they clear the table they don't wait until people are done eating, they just clear everything. This venue was so professional and being the father of the bride I always worried about what you get for the cost of a wedding but The Seville delivered. I am extremely pleased with the service from the wait staff to the the people setting up to the office persons that checked in every step of the way. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for their wedding, reception, or both at the same place. It was beautiful. From the amazing bar to the unlimited shrimp and appetizers to steak and chicken with soup and salad and that's not all! The Seville hit home runs for every important aspect of a wedding reception: Price, Service, Appearance, Food and Bar. Price: Planning a wedding reception is stressful, because you blink, and you're spending tens of thousands of dollars. And when your goal it to not go a nickle into debt for your wedding, pressure is on. The Seville was SO accommodating to all of our requests. Nick & his whole staff took such great care of us & checked on us throughout the night which was so nice! Had my wedding here on 11-09-13. The Seville really did a wonderful job with the preliminary and group tasting, the meetings to discuss the details and the execution of our wedding day. The space is gorgeous, the food is wonderful and our Coordinator Dre was phenomenal. They really helped to make our wedding day amazing and I truely appreciate that. The Seville offers wonderful packages at affordable prices that include your table linens, centerpieces, uplighting, chairs, dinner, desserts, wedding cake and open bar... and sometimes more! I really would love to give them 5 stars, but I can't for only one reason.... When we came across the Seville, we got really excited because the lobby & the rooms really fit our theme - which was an all out 1920s theme. Everything was smooth sailing for the entire year and a half of planning. The staff was friendly, and really worked with us regarding all our special elements. Which is why I was NOT ready to walk in for our rehearsal on November 7th and see a giant CHRISTMAS TREE in the middle of the lobby, and garland covering the staircase. Was it pretty? Yes, gorgeous. Was it appropriate decor for November 7th? uhh, no. We had planned to take our photos after the ceremony in the lobby because it matched our theme - only to find out 2 days before that it was covered in Christmas. Great. The staff that was there told us a few different stories: 1- This is always when they put up their decorations. 2- This was the only free weekend they had to put up the decorations. 3- It was my fault I hadn't asked about it before. **yeah, my personal favorite** 4- Another bride requested to have them put up that weekend. Regardless of what is true - whether that is when they always put them up or not - they need to tell people who are booking on those dates - by the way... our Christmas decorations will be up - hope that's ok. (especially since they made it a point to let us know when we booked that they'd be getting new carpeting in the lobby.) Honestly, I was just upset because every bride thinks about everything, down to the last tiny detail - and I didn't enjoy being surprised by this 2 days before our event. Thankfully the owner and manager went through a great effort to help make the situation better for us. They took down the garland from one of the staircase railings so we were able to use the stairs in our photos - and made other arrangements so we can re-take our photos on another date. I truly appreciate them doing all they could and checking in with us the day of to make sure we were happy. Overall - I would definitely still recommend The Seville for events and weddings - but my advice will be to make sure to check and double check all your details - even if you don't think it is necessary. read more

So we had my sister's 50th bday here and it was 2 years ago! I usually provide input only when I don't receive good customer service. However, I realized that I should provide input on job well done! It was a Monday event and Seville is generally closed but they were able to accommodate us. The staff was courteous and Nick was organized! My family and friends had a great time and enjoyed the food! I also love the fact that we can taste any food in the menu they offer at no additional cost. You just have to make sure to sign up and it is done every 3rd Thursday of the month. This made our selection much easier instead of just looking at pics or reading descriptions! Since it was a bday celebration, they threw in a sheet cake from Baking Institute who also does free cake tasting session as well as the chocolate fountain with open bar and we were able to bring other desserts! The chef also made pancit which is a Filipino noodle dish that symbolizes longevity. They also provided the flaming banana show before dessert ice cream was distributed. They upgraded our linen as well and was able to use all their glitzy centerpieces! My sister was very happy and definitely made her bday more memorable! I hope to plan my son's double celebration graduation and birthday in June next year! read more

I attended a wedding at this venue over the weekend. If it were my wedding I wouldn't even consider a place like this. Something about having an event at a space where there are other weddings happening at the same time and directly next door so you can hear the adjacent party doesn't sit so well with me. Food was blah. The server came out and said all steaks had to be cooked either medium well or well. Really? Way to ruin what could be a good steak, a filet mignon I may add. When the meal came out all the steaks at my table were medium rare to medium, a nice surprise, but had no flavor. I didn't even bother finishing the packaged chicken they served. And the Filipino bartender, Pete, was a straight up ass to one of the guests. The party itself was fun. That's the most important thing. But I wouldn't go recommending this as a place to have a wedding reception. read more

3 1/2 stars. I attended a bridal shower at the Seville, yesterday. The room was lovely. This is a review from an attendees perspective. I did not throw the shower, so I am not sure how good or bad they were to work with from a planning stand point. There was a TON of food and my table wanted to box up their lunch to take home later. I asked the event supervisor for a box to-go. She gave me the worst look and rolled her eyes at me. When she only brought back 1 box, I asked for more for the table. She IGNORED me and walked away. This was a supervisor! We eventually got boxes from our server. It would have been more appropriate for her to tell us the server would be right over with boxes. Unacceptable, in my opinion, for a supervisor to treat guests in such a way. read more

We came here for a wedding last Sunday night. From the outside, the place looked archaic and ordinary, and I was a little concerned it was going to be just another dilapidated banquet hall. Walking in, I realized I couldn't be more wrong! It's absolutely gorgeous on the inside and the room in which the wedding was held was huge, immaculate, and very sophisticated looking. The food was all right. They brought us a full plated dinner plus a pass around pasta and a tray of roast beef. Everything was just above average to average, but the portions were generous and it wasn't nearly as bad as wedding food could be. We held our ceremony and reception here on 10/20/17 and I don't think we could have picked a better venue to host our wedding! I cannot say enough nice things about this place. The staff here are excellent at what they do and very easy to work with. They made wedding planning a breeze and include so much in their packages. I feel that we received the most here for our money and it was very affordable. The food was delicious! Guests were raving about the food and I personally LOVED the banana foster dessert. Even the photographers said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had and were very impressed. And let's not forget the open bar, tons of selections! We had a lot of unique Halloween wedding ideas for decor and we were able to just drop off all of our boxes with the instructions on what we wanted and the staff set everything up for us! That was super helpful. They even got creative and used some of our leftover vampire fangs (that we used to hold our place cards) as name tag holders on their shirts. The bridal suite was nice and had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne all ready to go for us upon arrival. I like that the bridal suites lock and they provided me with a key. At the end of the night, they also helped with packing everything up very quickly and sent us home with the top tier of the cake. Rita (our Seville wedding coordinator) and Nick (the Seville dining room manager) both went out of their way to make sure our night was running smoothly and extra special. Only one complaint, the photo booth was having some technical difficulties but that didn't stop our guests from having fun with it anyway (and we ended up with so many hilarious photo gems). Attended a wedding here on Friday (and was a member of the bridal party). Since I am reviewing this from the bridal party end, I may have a slanted view - but the staff was on top of everything. The "head waitress" or I guess "manager" of our wedding was around constantly, getting the bridal party anything we asked for (mostly alcohol and more air conditioning). Everything ran smoothly, we were able to be at the place at noon when the wedding started at 5:30. I think the best thing, by far, is that the bride and groom had nothing to worry about while the wedding/reception was happening. There were no catastrophes and they both had an amazing time. One our waitress was not the most attentive and the parking situation. Some of the nurses who came didn't realize you really had to valet it. We attended my cousins wedding reception in the Barrington room here this past weekend. Positives: Food was absolutely amazing! Service was ON POINT! The room was decorated and lit beautifully. The table settings were so classy! The sound quality from the DJ was great inside the room. Negatives: 2 other receptions going on and while ours was giving toast speeches you could hear cheering and loud music next door. It was also kind of weird to see other wedding parties. We had several wedding crashers inside that had to be asked to leave...not cool. One was even in the photobooth and was caught by the bride. I didn't care much for the DJ, not sure if he was contracted with the hall or separate. His music was pretty by the book wedding music. Attended my cousins reception yesterday and everything was exceptionally beautiful. The room was large and wonderfully decorated with a very nice entrance area and bridal room. The food was surprisingly good for banquet food and I loved that they asked in advance who wanted their meat well done!! That's a rarity at weddings! The wait staff was so amazingly attentive and very helpful. One thing that's pushing me to give 3 stars is that we didn't receive the appetizers that we ordered and the bride was so excited to try them so that was disappointing. I also was not a fan of the timing of the food. There was a very long wait between the salad and the food and the bar wasn't open for anyone to get drinks so it was an awkward pause of events. Last part I'd like to add is I saw several office workers (I would assume managers) standing in by the entrance and watch people walk out the door with glasses of alcohol... NOT OKAY. If you see someone clearly drunk and going outside with open alcohol, you MUST stop them. There is no room for drunk driving so I was disappointed to see them just stand by. I came here for my brother's wedding in October 2014, The outside in the lobby in beautiful and the rooms are really pretty also. I will give you the reasons for the 2 stars though. 1st thing was the server (I can't remember his name now for the life of me) was extremely rude, I even mentioned something to him saying that there was no need for him to be so rude to me and his response was "I don't have to explain myself to you I guess I am just rude, you can complain about me my name is," and then told me his name and then SPELLED his name. I do remember it started with an A but can't remember what it was. The head lady in charge of all the waiters was awesome though, she apologized for the guy and made sure to take extra care of us the rest of the night. 2nd thing I didn't like was the fact that they squeezed so many people into such a small room, I felt like all of the tables were on top of each other, some were just thrown into the corner and no one had much room to move around (besides on the dance floor) 3rd thing was I did not like how the bridal sweet was not connected to the room, I got married a couple months before this and I loved how I had my bridal sweet for me and all my bridesmaids right there. I just walked up the stairs and had my own room. At the Seville it was just a pain to even get it with all the stairs you had to walk up. This past weekend was the second wedding I've attended at The Seville. The parking lot was full due to there being 3 events going on at once so I had to park on the side street a ways from the venue. There was SO much food which is sometimes a rarity when it comes to banquets/weddings/etc... We all loved being able to take our leftovers home - waste not, want not ;-) The service was very...eager. Several people at our table had their dishes cleared before they were finished or had to tell the waiter numerous times that they weren't finished. Someone said it felt like they were being timed. I can only comment on this place from an attendee standpoint. I visited for a family member's wedding. The decor was great. The place is fancy and modern. They set everything up nicely. The bar service was good. However, I think the highlight was definitely the food! Our party had Chicken, vegetables, spinach, and rice as an entree. Then they brought extra plates of pasta and beef. The soup and salad were even worth noting. Any place that can cook that much food and make it that perfect, is a-ok in my book. It was all amazing. The waiters were great and everyone was friendly. We had a person at our table needing gluten free food and the staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating to her. I was impressed. My son's wedding was on May 12, 2018. It was wonderful and went off without a hitch! The Seville was the best place to have it at. To be honest in the beginning I was worried because of the distance everyone had to travel and it was a new place nobody we knew had it there before. No problem. I attended a wedding reception here. All I can say is: it was magnificent. I'm not sure about whether or not the bar or catering was part of this establishment (both of which were excellent), but I do have this to say: it is a magnificently beautiful Chicago style party center. I doubt much else goes on here than wedding receptions and other banquets, but I couldn't get past how beautiful the venue was. Walking in: I couldn't believe that this was the same place that I saw from the outside. The lighting was beautiful and each of the three (at the time, but it looks like it can become more or less) rooms were wonderfully sized and beautifully lit and decorated. The reception was one of the most beautiful weddings I'd attended. I would easily suggest this venue for anyone getting married in the Streamwood/Schamburg area. read more

I love weddings at The Seville- the service from the staff is always wonderful. I was pleased on this visit to see they have updated the main entrance- it was always beautiful, but was a bit dated before, and now it looks fantastic. Meals here are served family style- I find the food to be good. Not the best wedding food I've ever eaten, but definitely edible with lots of choices on the table. My favorite part about Seville weddings has to be the sweet table though- delicious and a great end to the evening. My husband and I had our wedding reception here this past fall in October. And I was very pleased with the process and the turn out. I heard nothing but great things about the place while shopping around for venues. The service/the food/the owner/the staff/the setup/etc...was very very satisfying; and I came to find all those things right on point. I have a few close friends and family who are very picky on what to eat and they were raving about how the chicken was and the sauce that Seville used and how excellent it was. So I was very happy to hear about that review and how everyone loved the set up and colors in the room and thought the service was excellent. They mentioned the staff there was very helpful and loved "Maria" who worked with everyone very well and who was super nice. I loved my special day and it truly made me feel very lucky to have amazing friends and family in my life and how welcoming The Seville was to me and my husbands needs. Everything was absolutely perfect and I did not complain one bit. The only thing people said that may be a complaint but nothing negative was there was a lot of food but it was delicious and they loved it. The music we had from A-List DJ's was amazing too...the music was perfect where he played what we wanted and what the guests had requested and really took the time to listen to what we looked for through out the night. And the name lights he had for us were perfect as well...we loved our special day and we were extremely happy-a lot of people saying they had never seen such a wonderful husband smile so much to his wife and see the happiness we both shared.
