He measured and marked the pants, and took my payment with indifference. On the day of the scheduled pickup, I was called to come in and have the pants re-marked for alteration. Sometime during the time the measurements were made and the pickup time was scheduled, the person who was actually going to hem the pants discovered what appeared to be random tailoring marks, making it impossible for her to know where to hem them. It was stated that no mark on a leg matched any mark on the other leg. When I came in to get re-measured, I was greeted well, and the gentleman who did the measuring was very considerate, asking me several questions about the occasion to which I would be wearing the pants, and while the pants were being altered, brought me a bottle of chilled water and engaged me in pleasant conversation. If not for the first visit, I would be giving this establishment a 5-star rating. Perhaps the person who I interacted with first was just having a bad day.

People from all walks of life use laundromats theyre as American as common as the coffee pot…read more However like coffee pots they're not all the same and many arent as useful as others. I have used the Laundry Basket several times since living nearby. What prompt me to do a review was the fact that I will probably be using it more often since the change in my current relationship status(wife has a car I don't, she left and apt washers are unreliable) and the fact that there arent many pictures on the other reviews. Let's start with the hours. They are perfect. If you've ever sat on front of a store waiting on it to open you know what I mean. I can go almost as soon as I get off work and be done before the heat of the day starts b@ating me over the head. First impressions walking in, the place is clean well organized and for an older business well taken care of. There are other laundry services if you need those like drop off washing and ironing. The restroom is clean and well maintained although the toilet in the men's restroom seems to have some issues. The climate control was near perfect unless you chose to sit right next to the windows which of course coupled with the sun produce more heat. I would suggest tinted windows. Theres a vending machine and although I did not use it, it appeared to be in working order. They do have a TV which during my time there seemed to be tuned to a Family Feud marathon. Theres a prize vending machine for the kids which seems kind of old and out of place(should definitely be replaced with a pinball machine or a couple up to date arcade games) but in my lifetime I learned its best to leave the kids at home when going to the laundry mat because I was one of those kids that couldn't sit still at the laundry mat growing up so I know not much has changed because theres very little for kids to do if anything. However, I would suggest letting the kids help wash and fold the clothes to let them see that their clothes arent washed and folded by the the laundry fairy. I did not have the need to interact with the staff so I can't comment on their helpfulness nor job knowledge or attitude but judging by how well kept and maintained The Laundry Basket is I'd say theyre part of the reason why. Bottom line if you don't have a washer and dryer at home and your laundry room in your apt complex is suspect and you're looking for a place to wash your clothes you can't go wrong with The Laundry Basket.

Reasonable price for them to do it. I can not recommend them highly enough.

I came in first to get my sewing machine repaired. I heard an ad on the radio saying they repaired machines along with doing alterations, quilting, sewing classes, and custom monogramming. I dropped my machine off and was called just a few days later. I was very happy with the quick turn around. The second time in I had more time to look around and even signed my 11 year old daughter up for a class. The shop is clean and well organized. And the staff is very fun and friendly. When I come in I feel more like family than just another customer. I am very pleased with my experience with this shop. read more

The Sewing Shop is excellent place to shop for materials and get help matching material colors. Holly and her staff are so helpful in assisting me in get all my sewing supplies. I have been going there ever since they open the store. I make quilts and they are always helping me set up the quilting machine. Steve does an outstanding job repairing and servicing my Brother Embroidery machine and sewing machine. Even my husband loves to visit the sewing shop. New spot in town my wife insisted on stopping by on our way to joann fabrics. Turns out she can get her machine worked on and all the accessories she needs right there! Talk about one stop shopping. I also watch them do embroidery for the public while she looked around. They have these huge multi needle machines running. Very interesting to watch. When I was done watching that they had a spot for me to sit and watch TV. Overall a great experience the ladies seemed very nice and knowledgeable. read more

Took sewing lessons here recently. Extremely professional, knowledgable, and patient staff. Everyone was super sweet and helpful. They even came out to the car to help you get your sewing machine in. Holly, the owner, was a great teacher who was very kind and thorough in her instruction. I'll definitely be bringing my young daugher in for the kids classes. When you walk into the store you will immediately see beautiful quilts on the walls. The employees are all very friendly and will greet you as you come in.
