I was told that the area "wouldn't pill or rip anymore" and that it was "under the arms" so it didn't matter. They took a gorgeous new dress and completely destroyed it. She worked through options with me, and then went above and beyond by adding a beautiful trim and lace detail that I hadn't even considered, from her own personal stash, that matched perfectly and really added to it! She creatively used lace to cover some of the 50 year old age spots, and thought of adding a nice inside hem detail since it was High-Low and you'd see it from the front ... I was getting ready to go on a cruise and found the perfect dress for formal night but it was way too long. I either needed to grow another 5 inches or find a tailor. Since I doubted I could grow 5 inches in one week, I had to place my bet on the tailor. I did some searching on yelp, dexknows, and just on the internet in general. The Tailoring Palace had some wonderful reviews so I decided to give it a shot. I went in and the owner greeted me at the desk. He was pleasant, cheerful, and professional. He took the time to listen to what I needed and how soon I needed it. He had me put on the dress (ladies, remember to bring the shoes you plan to wear with this and any body shapers so the dress hangs just like it will when you wear it) and stand up on a box in front of the mirror. He took the time to make sure he knew how short I wanted it and marked the dress with his chalk. I was leaving in four days and he said he would have it ready for me the day before I left. I went in to pick up my dress and his wife was there this time. She is also a very nice person. She had me try the dress on again just to make sure we didn't need any last minute changes. The dress was PERFECT! I can now go on my cruise and not worry about having to hike up my dress to walk or stepping on it. The price was much less expensive than I thought it would be. I figured I would pay the same price of my dress for the tailoring. Not even close! I paid only $30. He does leather jackets, dresses, suits, just about another you wear that needs to be altered. Please go and give this place a shot. They are wonderful people, do incredible work, and are well worth the price.

The stitching they did to reinforce the chest had to be restitched the day of the wedding. The shoulders did stay in place very nicely. I will say the fabric of the dress was hard to manage a stitch in.
