However, price was very high, I had trouble understanding any of the ladies and I never knew when they were ready and that made me uneasy. I'm going to seek out other businesses that have better customer service and better prices. Imagine high quality is the same elsewhere. Finished product was amazing, but very poor customer service making it 3 stars overall. They need to be able to communicate better with customers in order to give better service. Fair review.

Although the ladies are predominately Spanish-speaking, they do their absolute best to communicate with their customers. I had about 4-5 fittings to make sure everything was perfect, and within those times I saw approximately 20 different people - all English-speaking - come in, explain what they wanted, or pick up their altered clothing and leave absolutely ecstatic! The ladies know what they are doing, and they really are such a pleasure to work with! They ended up charging me $300 for: sleeves (made from my dress), 10 bustles, adding lift to the top of the dress, adding white to the top as it was previously semi see through, and sewing in a small piece to the back of my dress. My dress is big, very heavy, and made of thick lace so it was easy to really mess up, but they made it into my dream dress. Bring all your altering needs here! Have patience if you don't speak Spanish, and explain. They will do exactly what you want!

Not just an expensive garment, but the most sentimental piece of clothing I will ever own. I dreamed of preserving it beautifully so that one day I could pass it down to my daughter. That dream is gone because of their negligence. The intricate beading and delicate detailing that made my gown so special was completely destroyed after they cleaned it. This wasn't minor damage, the entire dress was destroyed -- it looks as though it was treated with zero expertise or caution. Anyone with even basic knowledge of bridal fabrics knows how delicate embellishments are. The fact that they ruined them so thoroughly is inexcusable. When I opened the bag and saw what they had done, I felt sick. Years from now, I had imagined pulling that dress out, showing my daughter, watching her try it on. Instead, I now have a ruined, damaged reminder of what used to be a beautiful heirloom. And the worst part? Absolutely no accountability - no one at Burke even said a word about it. No apology. No understanding of the emotional weight of what they destroyed. You can't fix ruined beadwork like that. You can't "restore" the original craftsmanship. And you certainly can't restore the trust or the sentimental value they erased. If you care about your wedding gown, or any garment with sentimental value, do NOT bring it here. I thought this was a reputable company, but given the severe lack of care and lack of ownership, I caution you in taking your clothing to this awful establishment. They ruined something priceless to me, and I will never get that back. See the pictures for yourself. Editing to add - I spoke with the manager, Danielle, who was one of the most condescending people I've ever spoken to. She took zero accountability and told me it was my fault I didn't check the dress immediately after they cleaned it. Absolutely heartbreaking and disgusting service. Even if you can't do anything to fix the dress, there is absolutely no need to be so rude.
