Bella burger with fries and a ranch cup to go. Ordered online, super easy!

4.5/5. My sis-in-law managed to convince us to go on a roadtrip to Florence just to eat. I wasn't interested in what she wanted, so my condition was I get food for myself somewhere else. Shoals Shack was my personal choice, and I think I out bought the rest of our crew compared to the restaurant they chose. ;) it was so good! This is a small building on the outskirts of Florence. There's a little parking lot but it's carryout only. I was able to place my order online about 20 minutes before we got there. It was easy and you can even make modifications to your order, which is great! The website said my food wouldn't be ready till 1:45 (I think I ordered ~1:15 or so) but we pulled up at about 1:35 and it was waiting for me! I walked right up to the window and a friendly employee asked if I had an online order. I agreed and confirmed my name and the food was mine! Easy peasy and it was still super hot and not at all soggy. I ordered the Bella burger, which is a burger with mushrooms, Swiss, garlic mayo, and fried onion strings, though I asked for no onion strings on mine. I got a side of French fries and a cup of ranch for dipping. My order was made correctly. The fries were pretty basic but good -- hot, crispy, adequately salted. The ranch was delicious ranch and perfect for dipping. Unfortunately one of my fries did have a small, straight, dark hair attached to it. I'm not wildly squeamish about these sorts of things and it was sort of sitting by itself not touching other fries anyway, so I just chunked it and went about my business. This is really my only complaint for the whole experience. That burger...wow. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, juicy, a little unctuous but not too much. Soft bun, not soggy, right amount of melt on the cheese, meaty mushrooms in the perfect proportion. And lastly, the garlic mayo really pulled it all together. It was creamy, not overly garlicky, and spread just enough to get a little bit in every bite. I will be hard-pressed not to return here when I'm next in the area. Truly, an awesome burger! I'd be curious to try their other menu items like chicken sandwiches or tacos as well. Thanks, Shoals Shack!

A whole in the wall no in or out door seating. I got the Ryan's Firebird minus the ghost pepper cheese. Someone nine months ago said that it needed salt and I agree totally, the firebird was missing salt and something else, extremely Spicey if you like Spicey. Loved their fires. My parents joined and got the Cuban and they said it didn't lack anything it was great. They would get it again. I asked someone else what they got and she had ordered the daily special which was stake on top of a pasta and she stated it was very good. Update very Spicey coming out the back end as it was going down.

Where do we start?? Just moved here from Phoenix and continue to be amazed at some of the food finds in and around Florence. This place is awesome. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich while my wife had the sugar n spice burger. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The only downside is I wish they had some picnic tables, so you could at least eat outside since there is no dining room. However, it was not a big deal because it was so good we will be back! We also did a longer review on our YT channel for those who are interested. https://youtu.be/8MUMPj4B_V4?si=fvJRrOHzykXAPacx

Always so so good! Everything was fresh and hot. Love the cheese curds and that sandwich should be a staple on the menu! We go every chance we get!!

Best place to eat in the shoals! Amazing people and food. I'm never disappointed! Creative specials weekly, run don't walk to get the fish and chips when they have it. Best breading I've ever had on fish with fresh house made tartar.

Everything was well made but unsalted. Lest the flavors a little lacking. A touch of salt and I'm sure it would have been great.

This time I asked the owner for recommendations. He was very friendly, asked me some questions…read moreand gave me some guidance. I had the werewolf with a side of collards. So good! Everybody I know loves their Granny's collards best, but I swear that these are truly outstanding. The werewolf was great, I really liked the slaw/collard/mayo synergy, with a generous amount of roast beef. Service was great today, so I am assuming my previous visit was the exception. Every time I pass through (or near to) Columbia, I shall be back.

Ollie and Finn's Counter…read more Tucked away in a little brewery near the Columbia square is this little sandwich shop. I have been recommended this place by multiple people throughout the years and finally got a chance to give it a try. (Well, I say that but mainly because I go to Gold's Deli everytime I'm in Columbia. So it was time to share the love) They have a pretty large menu of various sandwiches, I wish I had grabbed a picture of them. I asked the cashier if she had to pick one sandwich which one would it be, she gave me a list of about 3 that all sounded amazing. The fourth she suggested was if you're overwhelmed or unsure just get the Italian. I LOVE Italian sandwiches so that is what I ended up with. Everything here is fresh so I waited about 5-10 minutes for my sandwich to get made. I will definitely be trying out some of the more adventurous creations next time but this was so good. This Italian has a freshness to it that I have a hard time describing but their olive oil blend is lovely, the olives, banana peppers and lettuce helped with that fresh taste as well I'm sure. The bread is incredible! It taste house baked, crisp outer crust with a pillowy interior. The house chips were also really good and salted perfectly. The inside is cool, it's a microbrewery and there's subtle like alien themes throughout? Overall can't wait to try it out again, stop by if you're ever down in Columbia!
