You know, for a bar in the woods...they have pretty darn good food! We shared the Walleye dinner and a Reuben. Both we very good. The fish was the stand out. Huge portion and a good balance of meat to batter. Flakey and tasty. Tater tots are hard to wreck...and these were as good as expected. Boy has The Shop gone down hill!! We ordered the smothered steak sandwich and the "steak" was all gristle and absolutely inedible. We'd chew (and chew and chew) but didn't dare swallow for fear of choking. Really disgusting. To serve cheap subpar meat like that, they obviously don't care. We will not be back. read more

We come here all the time. Bartender is a jerk. Some disheveled dude with tattoos. I've worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years and know a bad employee when I see one. He was rude, and didn't know how to make basic drinks. Servers are always great and we will continue to come back when we can. The bartender has to go though. Eventually he will run into the wrong customer and it will be a problem. Before then he will turn plenty of potential customers away. read more

Ambiance is amazing. Cool decor with plenty of TVs cranking sports and hunting channels. A little breezy under the fans, if you're sensitive just ask to move! Service was fantastic. Friendly server who immediately ran through the menu with specials and offered up similar replacement dishes when one was out of stock. Came back often to refill drinks. Food was delicious. We have been going here for 12 years now as close to our cabin. The Shop burger is excellent as well as the Reuben, but what we really love is the Friday fish fry and the Saturday jumbo shrimp special. They also make a mean Bloody Mary and deep fried cheese curds. read more

We were there for the Friday night fish fry, great options cod, walleye or shrimp. The hashbrowns were the best and the cocktails were great. I head up to Webb Lake for vacation once or twice a year with some family and friends, and the most recent visit (8/23/18 to 8/26) was our first visit to the Shop. It was so good we actually went there twice this trip! First we went for lunch and a drink or two. The bartender was attentive and friendly, and the burgers were absolutely amazing! Came back the next morning for breakfast, and that bartender was also amazing and the breakfast was also amazing! Will definitely be coming back and would recommend this place to anyone who hasn't been here yet! read more

Very good food, at least what we have had has been. Friday fish fry is very good no matter what fish you choose. Walleye, cod etc. chicken and shrimp specials are also good and all are good values. Can be busy, but worth the wait imho. Bartenders are friendly and make good drinks, unlike a few places locally that are very stingy with their cheap crap off brand booze and no better with non rail drinks. Recently tried their pizza. I've been there 5/6 times always for the evening special, Open faced Pork sandwich, with mashed, dressing , and pork gravy..a 4 all day long, $8.50.. enough for two!! Fried, Broasted chicken, $6.75.. a sold 3.5-4.0!! The Taco's huge, $1.50.. 2 is to much !! All the food is country style, homemade big portions, and very reasonable!! I wish I had taken pictures!! Sorry, bar and grill over-rated. Friends had highly rec'd the shrimp on Saturdays. Granted, these shrimp look big but are mostly fried batter. This place is exactly what you would expect it to be for the area it's in. A little dive bar in Wisconsin. Seems a bit more of a Minnesota bar when you are there, they have license plates stuck to the wall all over the place and a lot of them are Minnesota plates. Drinks are strong and cheap Beers are pretty standard, not a huge selection, but they do have options. Popcorn and peanuts are typically available. For food cheese curds are great and so are hate mini donuts, thats what we had on this particular trip because "nobody was hungry" Attentive service and the bartender is typically the same guy. Always a good conversation to be had here and most guests are friendly land will let you join right on into their conversation at the bar. If you are in the area, swing through! read more

Standard Wisconsin bar: cheap domestic taps, Packers decor, and greasy food. That being said, it's lovable and equal parts townie/cabin-goer so it feels like all are welcome. Both times I've been here, I've gotten the fish sandwich with chips. The fish sandwich is actually pretty decent - with the fried fish crispy and so big that it juts out from the bun. Even when I'm in cabin-mode and not counting calories, I am physically incapable of completely cleaning my plate (or basket, as it were). That didn't stop me from nibbling on a friend's onion rings, though... The inside is pretty small and was completely packed both in the winter (snowmobilers) and summer (everyone and their mother), but during the summer months they have a decent sized patio for dining/imbibing. The place is cash-only but they do have an ATM so if you come unprepared, you just have to worry about fees. read more

My favorite restaurant in the area. Wait staff is always attentive no matter how busy. We can pick up or dine in. Warning seating is very limited and there is often a wait. But worth it. My family loves the prime rib and I go for the huge shrimp on Saturday night specials. Wednesday night is half broasted chicken, fries and coleslaw for around $10. My hubby and I split it and both walk away full and not break the bank. Friday night fish fry is also awesome. But their menu is also very good from burgers to pizza and haven't had a thing there yet that hasn't been yummy. Give it a try you won't be disappointed. We had a great dinner last summer, stopped by this weekend and ordered the spicy wings, cheese curds and couple pizzas. Couple of us bite into 2 of the wings and they were cold in the middle, we let the server knows and she brought it back to kitchen. 10 mins later she gave us back the wings basket with our bites in the wings!! The cook just fried our half eaten wings and return to us and server said it's cooked chicken wings and the temperature should not matter. I like the place but... really?? Cold wings? read more

This one of my favorite Restaurant/Bars in the NorthWoods area of northwestern Wisconsin. The owner is the one who actually built the establishment from the ground up. The chief cook & bottle-wash has forgotten more about running a 5* restaurant than any within 200 miles from here. The bartenders & wait staff are really nice, intelligent & prompt. If you have never been, try it once, guaranteed you'll love it return again. You'll get to mingle with the 'Locals' as well as others from all walks of life. The menu may be typical "up north" fare, but the Shop burger, Friday fish fry and smothered chicken sandwich are extra delicious! The waitresses are friendly too and Sunday breakfast is a must try. This is our go-to place when we want to go out to eat at the cabin. The only improvement would be to offer Pepsi products. :- / read more
