I have been calling , texting, emailing him for well over a week almost daily with no response. I have called all the phone numbers he gave me and left messages. I have health problems and we have decided to move where our daughter and son in law are to be close to them as I am 82 and my wife is 81 and need to get this work finished. We love our shutters! With the pandemic, wait time is a bit longer but you could order domestic for a higher price. Shutters are custom order as they fit each of your windows. Ours took about 8 weeks to arrive and was installed the following week. Cicely came with samples and measured our windows. She also provided options on which way the shutters would open, differences between materials and such. It was really educational and much appreciated. A quote was provided at the end of her visit and she did not pressure us at all to buy. We went ahead and made the order so Kevin came to take exact measurements for the custom order. I contacted The Shutter source to upgrade our shades when the cheap ones we had kept breaking. I worked with Cecily to determine what shades we wanted in our living area and kitchen, and she was very helpful when it came to advising us on what would make the most sense. She set expectations as far as timing and breakdown of payments, and we were pleasantly surprised when the shades came in and were able to be installed sooner than I anticipated! Justin, who installed the shades, was professional and left the area clean. My only minor complaint was that the size of cellular shades we initially ordered weren't available, so we had to switch to a smaller thickness. I don't think this was due to any error on the part of The Shutter Source. I have an upstairs office with south-facing windows, and I work from home, so I really wanted to make sure I had the best coverings for the windows possible to help keep the heat down. I was initially thinking of black-out curtains, but Robert from the Shutter Source convinced me that a) shutters would do a better job, b) would look nicer, and c) would be about the same price. So I ended up going for shutters. Long story short, they got installed today, and they look _fantastic_. Our dog did a number on our old, cheap wooden shutters (that we learned were upside-down) that came with our house. Shutter Source did an amazingly quick, affordable, and great job installing much more durable shutters! The whole process was easy. Samples were brought to my home (he wore a mask) and I paid a deposit. About a week later someone came to take specific measurements (also wearing a mask), and I paid the rest of half the balance. Terrible installation. We are still dealing with problems with our blinds after a year they installed them in our home. When they first came to install, there was a young man and an older gentleman. It was clear that the younger man Had no clue how to install. Once they left after "installing" we could not open any of our windows. They literally installed the blinds so we could not physically open them. It was so difficult to coordinate with them again to fix the problem. When the older gently came back he admitted that the younger man did not know what he's doing. This review is WAY overdue. We had The Shutter Source install eleven (11) shutters in our home in Alameda, CA, approximately five (5) years ago, and they are just beautiful! From Richard the salesman, to Leslie the Office Manager, to Kevin and Dave who took final measurements and did the installations, each and every one of them could not have been any kinder, patient, professional or more accommodating. As for the quality, they are beautiful, solid, green-certified and so easy to keep clean. We have had many compliments and inquiries of where we purchased them. Would highly recommend. The first impression was great. It took a while to finally get our shutter doors installed, because they had to order the pieces from China or something... I don't quite remember, but we were happy once installed. 6 months later, we had them removed to get new flooring installed. They came by the same evening I called. Outstanding! Ok, so now the floors are installed and I've been calling for three days just to get put on a schedule! Come on, guys! Your 5 star rating is slipping more with each day you refuse to contact me.I called a few minutes ago (again) and still no one can confirm an install date/time. "Maybe tomorrow evening" is the best I can get. Arrrgg. I want to add a follow up. My 3-star rating will remain the same. The guys finally came out and reinstalled the blinds after a few threats I made against them (slamming them on social media, not physical threats). Dude had serious attitide issues, like we were putting him out or something. Hardly says a word and does a half-ass job on the re-install. I complain... Crickets for a few days, then I get a call from them, "wanting to make things right." You should have done that the first time around. Our blinds look horrible in out bedroom. We fixed the issue in the kitchen by adding additional materials, but it doesn' tlook like a professional install. In early September we had Richard of the Shutter Source come to our home with samples and he gave us a quote for installing plantation shutters in our office and baby's room. We were told it would be 5-7wks on delivery and installation. For 7 weeks we've not heard from them, despite that we've paid 50% of the cost up front. I called and they told me it would just be another week and that they would call me back to schedule install. No calls. I've called them back (now its been 10 weeks) and only get voicemail! Now I'm trying to remember if I paid via credit card, and looking into the viability of this provider. :( The baby has been sleeping during his naptime with a blanket on the window for over two months. read more

What a great experience! Cecily came to our home for the initial consultation and represented the company well. After meeting with representatives from 3 other companies, Cecily impressed with me with her professionalism and friendliness. It definitely was not a "hard sell" presentation, of which I appreciated. Had this company come to our home in early November. My husband proceeded with an order for our entire home. Paid 50% that day and was told it would be delivered and installed before Christmas. Well, Christmas had come and gone. We've called many times. Most of the time we get voicemail with no return calls. The chance someone does answer, she rude and very unhelpful. All we're asking is for an update and she says there's nothing she can do. Can't provide us information, can't transfer us to someone who does, can't place us on hold to wait for more information. Just tells us they will call us back to which they NEVER do. You can bet on me contacting the BBB if we don't get a response soon. read more
