We came in without any solid ideas for how to update our window coverings. The showroom is a nice, spacious setting with lots of different products to see. We spoke with Athena (who is great & knowledgeable to work with) and she answered so many of our questions & went over lots of options with us. When we visited again with more narrowed ideas, Athena was again very helpful. We easily scheduled a time for her to come to our home for an estimate. The appointment took around an hour. She gave us honest opinions & suggestions to help us make appropriate decisions while being mindful of a budget. She was thoughtful about different factors we wouldn't have thought of on our own. She also offered tips. We were so pleased, we put in our order. Wait time until installation was 6 weeks. We ended up having shutters, roller shades, & sheer shades installed on 11 of our windows. We hit some snaffus that required 2 installation appointments. The first was about 2 hours long & included taking our old blinds away. They also went over how each worked & gave tips. There wasn't too much for us to clean up afterwards. Unfortunately, 2 windows had incorrectly sized shutters made & 1 set of shutters didn't pass the installer's quality test. Installers explained the situation & left temporary paper shades up. It was a bit disappointing. After an additional 4 weeks, we had the second installation that took around 30 minutes. We installed blinds in our entire house with Blind Spot (blinds and honeycomb). It was a big project and the whole tram was so helpful in making decisions! We shopped around with three vendors to have plantation shutters on our windows. We have been wanting to update our window treatments and this was the perfect opportunity because one of us was able to be at home during the pandemic. We wanted Hunter Douglas and that was our main goal, because they have a lifetime guarantee and they are tops when it comes to blinds. I visited this business yesterday to see if they could help me with a shade that wasn't working properly. This was a new home install from years ago using a building contractor. I found the owner to be welcoming and extremely helpful. I was referred to their repair shop which was in close proximity where I was met with a courteous and professional staff that quickly got to work to figure out if they could fix the problem without sending the blinds out for repair. We moved into a house and only 2 windows in the basement needed to be completed still. We used Blind Spot since that's who had done the others. They sent someone out to measure the very next day. We have had our Hunter Douglas roller shades for exactly 3 years now and all 5 windows with the shades have been working great. We wanted to give a fair review and waited to see how these shades and their installation quality would be like over time. We still enjoy our shades a lot, especially the automatic roller shades that were installed at our bay window. Having a remote and mobile app feature helps us from not having to climb onto the bay window every time we would need to operate the shades. The ability for Alexa to use voice control has been a fun little feature. My wife decided to use Harry Potter spells as the Alexa custom voice commands to open and close the shades. Haha. Nerdy, but fun indeed. The only regrets we have is that we didn't listen to Thomas' advice for adding a separate shade on a multiple window space in our master bedroom. We've been having to open the entire shade to open just one window, so we don't have much privacy options throughout the summer. Wish we would have listened to the professional. We will definitely comeback soon to purchase shutters for our master bedroom to enable us to have better privacy options throughout the whole year. We would definitely recommend Blind Spot for the quality of their products and more so, their customer service. We just got our power view shades and shutters installed! I want to say I highly recommend The Blind Spot. We had scheduled an appointment, but we wanted to go into the actual store to actually assist us with what we wanted to do inside our home. We were lucky enough that the owner, Jeanine, was in and she was soooo helpful, attentive, and informative that we felt more confident in the direction of what type of shading we wanted. At one point we thought shutters would be out of our price range, however, she showed us a new direction shutters were going in, and very cool shades. After our consult came in, we still were not sure about the fabric we selected for our shades, and went back into the store, where they were nice enough to let us take the color swatch so we could make sure we select the correct color, which I ended up going back into the store to return and saw Jeanine again and let her know the two colors we were unsure on and she definitely imparted again great advice from all her experience on what would be best, and even said, it's less expensive too! I think we got lucky and they reached out within 6-7 weeks to schedule and installed I believe within 8 weeks of confirming our order. Carlos and Logan came to our house a few minutes early (on-time) and completed the install within 6 hours. No hiccups of any sort and everything looks done well. They were very quiet, and diligent with their work, and they even ensure we knew how to operate the power shades, and other apps we should download to ensure we access the full abilities of the product. Our home looks complete and I just love the style their Hunter Douglas product makes our look! Had a problem with our Hunter Douglas blind becoming stuck. Googled Hunter Douglas repair and came up with well-reviewed Blind Spot for repairs. Called for info and went to message. Pushed "2" for repair and had to leave a message. Did not get a response after 2 days so went to shop. Was told that they did not repair but we could go to the Hunter Douglas outlet in Elk Grove, about 45 minutes from us. We were referred to Blind Magic in Roseville by another company we called. We absolutely love our new shades! We had shades installed for our bedroom and living room sliders and for the French doors in our flex room. From our designer to our installer, we had excellent service. All of our installs had a different problem we were trying to handle. The bedroom shades were on a large slider window under shear drapes we had already installed. The shades for our flex room were on French doors and needed for privacy because this room is being used for an extra bedroom. Our living room shades let in subdued light but also allowed privacy. It also allowed shade enough for us to watch our big screen TV with no glare. read more

Great customer service and great install. We popped into the showroom in Rocklin/Roseville. We immediately found the shades we loved. The person at the store was very knowledgeable and was helpful in placing us in the direction of what we were looking for in the way of shutters. The measurements were done by Jeannie. She was very professional and did a wonderful job as they fit perfectly. The two installers were great (I believe Ricky was one and the other installer was Logan) - GREAT JOB ON THE INSTALL GUYS. The only issue we had was that two windows were not done (shutters in the den and regular blinds in kitchen). Not quite sure what occurred here, some kind of issue at the warehouse (no real communication as to what happened as our original order was in October 2020 and we are now in mid-February and the install was done in January 2021). I assume that due to Covid, a supply/demand issue might be at play, not sure. I did receive an email this week that the shutters and blinds will be in soon so the job should be finished next week. Our Blind Spot Hunter Douglas Blinds broke twice in one year...between breaks we had to wait weeks for replacements which also broke. Do yourself a favor and get your blinds elsewhere. This is so long and over due. The blind spot first came to our home over 6 years ago. I wanted to replace our Hunter Douglas shades with shutters before our daughters wedding. Not only did the make the short deadline, they installed them the day they said they would and fast while every bit professional. We loved them and didn't loose our view at all but could close up the house for 100% privacy when needed. Recently my husband retired. I dont know how he did it but he managed to break several slots while opening snd closing them. Ugh! I was a little irritated but needed to find a way to get them fixed.
