I visited "Skin Genie" almost exactly a year ago after struggling with acne for five years and seeking professional help. I went into the appointment with high hopes of being in good hands and feeling comfortable. However, I burst into tears as soon as I got into my car afterward. I left the appointment with lower self-esteem and feeling immensely discouraged. The "Skin Genie's" attitude felt judgmental and aggressive, which made the experience deeply uncomfortable. She behaved as though she had never seen acne before, despite having been in the field longer than I have been alive. She repeatedly hounded me with questions about my skin and responded to each of my answers with "Are you sure?" in a sassy, dismissive manner. My mom and I got a special through Groupon for a chemical peel and facial at the Skin Genie. We were both happy to hear how knowledgeable Sandi is on skin care. I knew all of the things she told us but it was informative for my mom to hear especially since she's never had a facial and it really put both of us at ease that she knows what she is doing. You can't trust your skin to just anyone. The treatment also included a light massage with a facial and eye mask. The full face mask was amazing and very cooling after the Chem peel. The whole experience was nice and afterward my face felt taut and was glowing. My mom was also happy with the outcome. Sandi is also an Environ skin care distributor so we decided to try the vitamin oil and face mask. After the treatment my skin peeled for about 5 days but very lightly. It might have been less if I would have went to town on scrubbing my face but I dont like doing that since my skin is sensitive. A week later my face still is glowing, feels smooth and hydrated. I also can see a smoothing around my eyes which I love because I had a few very light lines and now they're gone. She believes in her product line and has lots of experience seeing it work for people, especially since she used to work with a plastic surgeon who used the same product line. Sandi took the time to get to know me, my skincare and diet routine, stress level etc. upon my initial facial which immediately put me at ease.
