**Updated to add that the business responded to my review, deflecting any wrong doing and said that they "require shaving the area before treatment". This is yet another area where they failed me- as neither the receptionist that booked my appointment told me this, nor was I told this when I checked in for my services, nor did the woman that did my service tell me the area needs to be shaved before she worked on me. So, this is the first time I'm hearing this, despite THREE employees saying nothing of the sort. And yet, they still feel justified in not refunding me, and not extending any level of proper care or customer service to me. They are TRULY a horrible, unprofessional, low quality med spa. ** Bad experience and terrible customer service after the fact. I made an appointment for Laser Hair Removal, which I've had done on various parts of my body over the years at various med spas. I was going to be in Ventura on a week long road-trip down south, and decided to try this place for my LHR. I had a fancy gala at the end of the week for an LA event with lawyers and judges, so always some primping is done to look my best. A girl's gotta look polished for this type of shin dig... and it's pretty fun getting ready. Except when it's not, and that's what happened at this place. When I made the appt, I asked the woman on the phone about numbing cream for my face, she informed me that I wouldn't need it bc it's a fast moving wand. I had never experienced this type of machine before, but when I asked her if it was the same result where all the hair falls off or can be easily wiped off after treatment, she simply replied, "yes". This was not the case, as I learned AFTER I spent $200 and wasted my time with this place. I left still looking like Chewbacca, and I emailed the office to let them know I was not satisfied. This is when I was told that each treatment would remove about 20% of the visible hair. Had I known this when I called to get info, I WOULD NOT HAVE BOOKED THE APPT. I absolutely would not and could not show up to this gala looking like Chewbacca. When I asked to get my money back, I was told they have a no refunds policy. I asked them if they insist on their no refunds policy despite misrepresentation and flat out lying to me about the treatment results ... and no one responded -nor have I been refunded. Churn and burn is a bad business practice! Just gross and unethical business practices all the way around- from the woman at the front desk that made my appointment, to Angela that did my treatment (by the way, in an email she said she "assured me that I had some hair loss even though there was a lot of hair left"), to Sabina that went totally quiet after I disputed their no refund policy calling out their unethical practice of misinformation and misrepresentation. Also, upon further research I notice that a handful of the reviews are from their own employees (always with the no profile pic and only one review in their profile). Absolutely do not go here, and do not trust these people. read more

I have been going to Beyond Aesthetics for a few years. I have been to quite a few different medical spas, but this one is exceptional. Both locations (Ventura and Camarillo) are beautiful, clean and offer superior products and knowledge. What really makes them unique is their individualized approach to beauty treatments. The staff here is so super nice and the office is beautiful! I have been following on social media for a while and finally decided to make a Botox appt. I told them my concerns and the amount of units I've had in the past. they recommended HALF the units in the area I was most concerned with but assured me if It didn't work, they would make it right at my follow up. At my follow up I pointed out that I was unhappy with half the units and was told that maybe the lines have just gotten deeper and next time we'll do more. On a whim... A few weeks ago I walked into this amazing beauty spa and am so grateful I did. Quick background, I was going daily to this office building and would always walk by. Something would say to me to go in but I ignored that "little voice." Finally, I made the choice to walk in. Initially I went to inquire about Kybella. While I was there, literally the client checking out told me she had gotten Kybella there and was happy. Oh and V, one of the lovely girls at the front desk had also gotten Kybella. They both showed me their before and after photos and they looked great. In person, you couldn't tell they had anything done. So I made an appointment for my Kybella consultation. Long story short, I didn't get the Kybella (nothing with Beyond Aesthetic, it was my fear and also finances)... Now, while I was there, at my consultation with Ashley, I was asking about hyperpigmentation and what she would recommend. She presented different options and I decided to do their DermaSweep Bootcamp. OOO MMM GGGG! My beautiful aesthetician, Meghan, has done such an amazing job, I can't even describe the results. It had been sooo, sooo long since I felt "pretty." I know I probably sound vain or I don't know. It had been so long that I loved my skin. For those of you that deal with any kind of skin issues, melasma, hyperpigmentation, acne, acne scars, you know those conditions can be depressing. Our face is what the world sees. And while yes, true beauty and grace comes from within, the world doesn't see that at first. We don't see it when we stand in front of the mirror. We are all our harshest critics... But I digress. I'm so grateful for Nicole, V (they are front desk) Ashley who did my consultation and especially Meghan for taking such good care of me and my skin. Besides these beautiful and lovely women not only being kind, supportive and understanding, what I really appreciated was the NO PRESSURE to do or buy anything. For any of you that have been to that beauty/plastic surgery, cosmetic dermatology world, you know some places are very high pressure. As I mentioned earlier, I originally went in for a Kybella consultation and decided not to do it. And I've been back several times for my dermasweep sessions and none of them have brought up the Kybella again. We recently started coming to the Ventura location and have been treated by the "A" Team in Ventura, Corinne, Meghan, Nadia, Heather, and Amber. We love these ladies. First of all, their knowledge is second to none. We ask a skin care question and they have an answer. We have always felt comfortable with their recommendations and have never felt like they were just trying to push products or services. I have seen Kim for facials at the Camarillo location for a few years now and I know I can always rely on her expertise to get my skin glowing again, may it be I'm having an acne flare up or my skin is just needing to be graced by her magic! Use to go to a med spa in Cerritos but it's too far from where I live. Found a Beyond Aesthetics location in Camarillo tried it but love the Ventura location more. I have been going to this location since early this year for facials: microdermabrasion, LED light therapy and always leave smiling.
