I went to The Skin Whisperer and April is so great. There is plenty of free street parking and she has a boutique studio on the second floor of a loft space and very COVID safe (two face masks and a plastic shield). I opted for a 90 minute service and I'm glad she didn't just slather a mask on me and set the timer for ten minutes, repeat. She handled my extractions and the used a "needle free miso therapy" and other treatments. My skin is refreshed, tighter and I'm very happy. I'll be back. read more

The cavitation machine is magic! I noticed results after 1 visit (I'm 48 and was beginning to get droopy jowls) and you can't believe the difference after 5 treatments! April also ran a comb-like wand (still cavitation) through some areas around my temples where hair is thinning. While wearing sun visors my entire life may have permanently rubbed away hair folicles, I swear I could see a bit of difference (only did this twice so I imagine more treatments may have a real and noticeable effect). I had a general facial once, in the past, but it was an uneventful experience. I had also seen several dermatologists for my acne back in high school, which cleared up my acne, but left the scars behind. My face hasn't been smooth since prior to high school and I was looking to get my face to be smooth again but no doctors. I was referred to April by a close friend and I read about her holistic facials and was intrigued. When I met April, she discussed how your gut health is a reflection of your skin health. I was joyfully surprised she started talking down this path because for the past 3 years, I have successfully worked on getting my gut health to optimum level. So we were talking the same language. She explained that her holistic facial could get me where I want to be with my skin. Since my gut was already in check and I am also on great supplementation which, on a cellular level, renews my cells, that my skin can get to the smoother level that I desired. I decided on the two hour facial and it was worth every penny. She takes her time to make sure every step is precise and there are many steps to this type of facial. At the end, I did, as expected, to have some redness, but I did not experience any sunburn type sensation any days after the facial. "wow" is the best way I can describe the experience I had with April. From the moment I crossed the threshold I felt warm and welcome. I realize that when you walk into a spa, you expect to feel those things based on the ambiance but what I felt came from April herself. She truly cares about what she is doing and wants to make the experience the best possible for her guests. She listened to what I wanted and what I hoped to accomplish and really personalized the experience for me. By the time I walked out of that room I felt relaxed and calm and my skin was glowing.
