Dr. Ling is a genius but is also very booked-up; fortunately she now has a co-genius working with her: aesthetician Jody Brown. Jody recently did a chemical peel on my very wrinkled 49-year-old face and neck. (Yes, I was one of those Texas teens who sunbathed on a reflective foil blanket while marinating in baby oil.) She meticulously described the process, the after-effects, listened carefully to my concerns and feedback, and made the right decision as to how many layers of product to apply to my skin (three of a possible four). At every step of the way she checked in with me about my pain/comfort level, and generously shared with me her own experience of having her face peeled. She is very passionate about her work, and it comes through in her style; her excitement was contagious and I left the office feeling hopeful that I can dial back some of the damage. After a day of looking sunburned and two days of peeling, my skin looks and feels better than it has in about ten years. It's actually fun to touch, my makeup glides on, and I feel radiant. Jody texted me the very next day to check on me, and has been extremely responsive to the few questions I've had since. I will absolutely be a return client! After chatting with a few girlfriends about their dr.'s, I did a Google search for the top plastic surgeons/centers in Austin and APSI had a 4.9 rating! I then began to dig through their before/after pics and loved that they did not have that over the top fake look and that they all seemed body proportionate which is exactly what I wanted. While perusing the surgical options, I came across labiaplasty. I had never heard of it, but on RealSelf, the rate was almost 100%. After looking at before/after photos and decided I wanted that surgery as well. I made an appt for a consultation where I met Dr. Justin Booth and his assistant Christine Powell and they answered all of my questions and were patient. I definitely went over the allotted time, but I was never rushed. I have never considered getting breast augmentation and was not aware that surgeons do not go by cup sizes, but CC's. Dr. Booth measured me and gave me the max CC's for my frame and I then tried on the various Sientra silicone aka, gummy bear implants, which helped a lot. While they do not have pics online of labiaplasty, Dr. Booth performs them frequently. Their pricing was better than I expected and I was given a folder full of everything I needed to know about my upcoming surgeries, appt dates, and times, as well as pre & post op instructions. By the time I left, I loved both Dr. Booth and Christine and felt very comfortable with my upcoming surgeries. Prior to my surgeries, I came in to discuss current meds, post op meds, any last minute questions/concerns and etc. The surgery is performed in house at their surgical suite which is located next to the office. As soon as I arrived, everything went as scheduled and the nurses were all awesome. The next day, I received a call from Jenny, Dr. Booth's nurse and was provided her personal cell in the event I was experiencing any adverse pain or reactions. Due to their thorough explanations, I was fully prepared for what to expect and my healing process went accordingly. I am at the 6 week mark and to say I am obsessed with my body is an understatement! I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to Dr. Justin Booth and his entire staff. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

Before anyone had thoroughly assessed my skin or understood my skin type, I was encouraged to sign up for their $300/month membership, which included Botox and a monthly treatment (chemical peel, facial, or skin tightening laser). Looking back, I believe the focus was on selling a membership rather than creating a treatment plan that was actually appropriate for my skin. After my chemical peel and facial, my skin had the worst reaction I've ever experienced. I trusted their recommendations and purchased over $300 worth of skincare products they suggested, but my skin only continued to worsen. What was most concerning was that, despite my skin barrier already being compromised, I was advised to continue receiving laser treatments and was told they would help improve my skin. Instead, my skin continued to worsen. Looking back, I felt there was a greater emphasis on continuing treatments and maintaining my membership than on reevaluating whether the treatment plan was right for me. This experience has been both physically and emotionally devastating. I was, and still am, embarrassed by how my skin looks. I eventually had to repeatedly ask for my membership to be canceled. The before-and-after photos speak for themselves. I deeply regret walking through their doors. See photos below of immediately after chemical peel where my skin had zero acne. The other photos are after receiving various treatments recommended by its a secret staff. Since then, I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to repair the damage. I'm now under the care of a dermatologist, taking prescription medication, and seeing a new aesthetician every two weeks just to get my skin back to a healthy baseline. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend It's a Secret Med Spa. I hope others carefully consider their options and make sure they feel confident that any recommended treatments are truly tailored to their skin before committing to a membership or treatment plan.

Kung was was extremely rude, condescending, and dismissive, like they were doing us a favor just by talking to us. Instead of listening or answering questions professionally, they talk down to you and act like you're ignorant for even asking. What really crossed the line is how Kung pressures you into signing up, then once they have your money, they suddenly hide behind "documentation". They basically hustle you into buying services, and only AFTER you pay, they claim there are "no refunds" because it's written somewhere in their paperwork. The problem is: Kung never verbally mention it upfront and they doesn't clearly show it to you before taking your payment. That's not transparency -- that's manipulation. Even worse, they try to convince you that you MUST take their services because "you need it", as if they get to decide what's best for you while disrespecting you at the same time. That's not healthcare -- that's arrogance. Also, any business that offers no refunds on rushed prepaid packages is waving a huge red flag. If you were truly confident in your service and results, you wouldn't need to trap people into paying upfront with a rigid "no refund" policy that you try to bury deep into some kind of initial document you sign and never mention it in any of your subsequent patient visits. Overall: unprofessional, pushy, and unethical behavior. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere that actually treats patients with respect and will probably provide better and more effective results too.
