Fun day out filled with nostalgia and full food options and booze to boot, what more could you want!

2/11/22 Stupidly before I arrived here I had driven out to Wind gap which was a huge disappointment so I wasn't expecting much here but I figured it couldn't be more disappointing than The Wind Gap Market place. Lots and lots of very cool stands. I was amazed at how big this place was. Similar to 895- booths are unmanned- you pick up anything you want and take it to the cash register up front. (Some show cases are locked so you would have to get help at the front) I enjoyed looking at all the cool stuff. At first I was kind of let down thinking I had reached the end- but it kept going and going! I was seeing signs for "snack bar"- I thought it would be sodas and soft pretzels. It was a huge area of Spanish foods, a dessert stand, a pizza place, they had a ramen noodle stand, an actual bar, and a wine bar- plus a bakery stand, low price small grocery stand, plants for sale, a smoke shop, toys, jewelry and an axe throwing area. After that- I noticed an expo center having a craft show- themed around Valentine's Day. 2 stands of crystals and rocks- drew me in like a magnet- soaps, jewelry etc. fun to see but I didn't purchase anything there. I highly recommend this place if you want something fun to do- I am looking forward to going back. Lots of ample parking too!! read more

Lots of treasures to be found in this warehouse full of vendor cubbies. Just when you think you've gotten to the end there is yet another door leading you to more booths with foods, curiosities, trinkets and vintage find Indoor treasure hunting is perfect here, one could peruse the cubbies all day and still not see it all. Food vendors and plenty of public restrooms. No haggling if you're into that sort of thing at Slatington...this is a pay at the counter style flea market; so you take your treasures from the cubbies, collect them along your hunting and pay for everything at one central location. Wow this place is great! A huge old mill? that is filled with antiques booths. You never really know what you are going to find....there is so much there it takes 2.5 hours to walk through. Friendly staff and easy check out. Things are priced to move and many booths had discount signs as well. One suggestion...I wish the folks selling records would organize them alphabetically. read more

I drove over an hour to visit the Slatington Marketplace and purchased some sterling silver jewelry from stand SN6JP. One of the larger rings was marked as 925 and sold as sterling silver. However, when I brought it back to my jewelry shop to size it, I discovered it was copper with silver plating--completely misrepresented. When I contacted the Slatington Marketplace about this, I was told that all sales are final. This is unacceptable, as the seller's booth has a massive display with thousands of items--who knows what else might be fake? Buyers, beware! read more

The Slatington Marketplace is your standard booth style antique store, but located in part of a old factory. The Marketplace is 30 minutes north of Allentown and due to this seems a little less known. Some parking is located in front of the main entrance, with an additional lot across the road. The building is not air conditioned so prepare accordingly. Surprisingly, even though it's in an old factory, the building is fully handicap accessible with numerous access ramps. The Marketplace is separated into three different rooms and is much larger than you first expect. After walking through the first two rooms, it felt a little generic. There is a small snack bar located inside one of the rooms. The back room is the largest and by far had the most promising items. Usual items at Slatington included military gear, toys, furniture, and various dust collectables. This place is a diamond in the rough that is still finding itself. Its worst feature is the distance from Allentown, it's a little far, but if you like booth style antiquing, it's worth it. Overall, Slatington is a firm 3.5 right now, but rounding up to a 4 due to its promise. read more

Surprisingly had a lot of fun here. Started with the farmers market and craft vendors. Then I had a great sangria sampler at the winery. Then did antiques. We were there for four hours and we had to rush through the antique section because it was so massive. Found some really cute deals but you have to spend the time and luck. Ran out of time and couldn't try the breweryalso looking forward to trying the ax throwing. Definitely will come back. read more

The BIGGEST and absolute best antique mall I have ever visited. A wide array of antiques in their vendor booths, sure to please everyone's style. Very reasonable prices with a lot of sales in different booths. A little hot in there on a summer day but I imagine once the weather cools down it would be easy to spend a few hours exploring the place! read more

Stopped here while on vacation in Jim Thorpe. Definitely exceeded my expectations. This place was huge & so much to look at. Prices vary from booth to booth, you can definitely find some bargains. it's not pet friendly although I understand that animals around food areas are usually not allowed, the area we were going to remain in was in the non-food area and of course, be mindful with the pet. I was immediately stopped and well, I took my money elsewhere. I was going to spend good amount of money like I usually do at this place but needless to say, I was very discourage. read more

Nice large space . Merchandise is rust belt chic . Tools. Folk , Americana , Advertising mostly reproductions . Plain and simple it's not an Antique Market it's a large overpriced garage sale made to look like an Antique Coop . My 2 stars is very generous. If you are an Antiques collector or dealer. Since it changed owners, and they took out the flea market this place has turned into a overpriced tourist trap. The Auction is gone, the produce long gone (but it has moved up the street) Yeah, the last owner and his crew were a shady bunch but at least they had a steady flow of traffic on the weekend and you could find a bargain or two amongst the flea stuff. read more

The place has made tremendous improvement! I think there are now close to 200 vendors. A lot of great antiques and collectibles at fair prices. Must been 200 customers in there yesterday. Crowded. A gem of a place! Didn't know it was there - out driving on a road trip and saw the sandwich board sign along the main road. Went about a mile down the road not knowing if the place was big/small/open etc., but SO glad we stopped in. About 75 vendor booths (don't miss the two other large rooms off the big main room - we almost did) with a nice variety of vintage stuff at reasonable prices. Not a lot of parking out front (15 cars or so?), but don't know if there are other spots nearby. Friendly and helpful employees constantly moving through the place and available to answer questions and get high items down off walls and shelves. Will absolutely be stopping back in the future! read more

I am addicted to this place. My husband and I recently purchased a big old farmhouse from 1843 and I have been farmhouse decorating on the cheap. I purchased all my decor in my kitchen from here. Ice tongs I turned into a paper towel holder. An old oxen yoke that has been turned into a lighting feature over my table. I spent 18.00 on it and have been offered 300.00 LOL I went to my first ever auction here 2 months ago. I bought a secretary desk for 70.00 and had it appraised and was told it was worth 500.00 I won a bid board auction 5.00 for 4 beautiful antique wooden chairs. I spent 3.00 on the lid to an old butter churn I nailed it to the wall and now have the cutest towel holder in my kitchen. Today I was there again at the live auction. I purchased a 3 drawer tiger wood dresser for 25.00. Love this place there is no way I would be able to furnish my home with antiques anywhere for this amount of money read more
