He immediately had me take some x-rays, which I thought was going to be a huge waste of time and money because it was obviously just a muscle issue. I wouldn't be walking if it was bone, right? I was so wrong. Turns out that the injury is actually a broken pelvis. Dr. Nelson's intuition and on-site imaging technology changed my entire season over about the course of 5 minutes. I'm so grateful he didn't just do the basic physical that most doctors would have done and just assigned me some strengthening exercises. He got to the heart of the issue. What impresses me most about Dr. Nelson, however, is his bedside manner. He was so kind when I burst into tears and has been patient with me when I have argued (again and again) about what exercises he'd let me do. He knows I'm extremely competitive and is good at harnessing that to help me be the "best healer" I can be and get back to racing as quickly as possible. The whole staff is super kind and courteous. It's easy to get an appointment. Although I can't quite say it's been a pleasure being their patient, they couldn't make the experience any better.

The Doctor still proceeded and gave me two steroid injections in my lower back. Shortly after being seen there. my condition became significantly worse and I ended up in the ER. I went into urinary retention, required a catheter, developed severe weakness in my legs, and eventually lost the ability to walk normally. I was ultimately hospitalized while doctors tried to determine what was happening. What has been especially difficult for me is knowing that I was trying to communicate that something felt seriously wrong with my body before everything escalated. Regardless of what ultimately caused my neurological symptoms, I wish my concerns and the combination of symptoms I was reporting had been taken more seriously and that I had been advised to seek a higher level of medical evaluation. After everything I went through--the ER, hospitalization, skilled nursing home, loss of mobility, bladder issues, and the ongoing recovery, I was honestly shocked that the clinic had the audacity to call me and still pursue my copay as though this had been an ordinary visit after what they put me through, given the circumstances, I would have expected significantly more compassion and consideration. This experience has had an enormous impact on my life, and unfortunately I would not feel comfortable returning to this clinic or recommending it to someone experiencing complex or rapidly worsening symptoms under this clinics care.

The office staff at both the Park City and Murray locations were always very friendly and patient with all of my questions. I particularly liked how the Park City location had an X-ray machine there, so I was able to get X-rays immediately before the doctor saw me instead of making a special trip to do that ahead of time. I am so happy to say that my knee is better than ever after just a few months! I'm hoping not to need knee surgery again, but if I do, there is no doubt that I will see Dr Cooley.

He is very knowledgeable and is happy to explain why something is needed or why he is doing what he does. Afterwards, his staff does stretches or exercises to work on strength and posture correction. I've never had problems scheduling for a time that works for me. I highly recommend coming here!

New patients get a consultation, exam and adjustment for only $35 He listens to your concerns, and will either do an adjustment then and there, or suggest a recommendation. He doesn't try to PUSH ANY UPSALES for example: future appointments, vitamins or the massage chair. There is therapeutic massage on site, but you will need to make a separate appoint with the massage therapist. Convenient online scheduling on their website, or if you need to be seen the same day they do have walk-in's available but have limited hours. They told me what exercises to do and then went back to another patient. Before coming back to UT, I checked my insurance to see which PT was in network near South Jordan. There were several but ImPackt stood out as the best choice for athletes and very active individuals (I love to golf, hike, and ski). I knew I made the right choice on my first visit. Not only was the location very convenient, but the office was bright, modern, and spotless. The care I received was completely different from New York. The therapists who cared for me were hands-on (massage, scraping, vibration, etc.), friendly, and so knowledgeable. And the knee bender machine they have was a game changer! I had a terrible second experience trying to get in for imaging with Rayus Radiology…read more A family member had been in the Heart & Lung Center ICU and was taken such great care of by the staff there that I decided to use IHC after my Rayus experience. Although it was a bit of a back and forth communication match to get approved through my personal insurance and get my imaging orders verified from my neurosurgeon, I was finally able to set an appointment with IHC's Radiology department. When I arrived the day of my appointment there were 3 women at the front desk. No one greeted me. I had to greet them first and say good morning. Not one of them answered me back. I said I had an appointment as I approached the two women to my left and the woman sitting down turned and asked the young lady on the other computer if she could take care of me. I was given paperwork to fill out and taken back to change and await imaging. The one saving grace of my experience was the radiology tech. He is the reason I wanted to write this review. He made me laugh from the moment he came to pick me up for imaging. He asked questions to ensure he understood my chart and answered my own questions. He made me feel comfortable immediately. He made sure he talked with me throughout my MRI so that I knew what was being done and what we had left to do. Which is the first time any tech has done so for me. It seemed to make my scan go faster when he updated me like that. I'm usually just sitting in there with my earplugs in or music playing the whole time. His name was John and he was from Memphis. He had some amazing tattoos on his arms and he just moved to Salt Lake a few months ago. John, I appreciate you! Thank you, for being you.
