Absolutely terrible experience. We arrived only 5 minutes late and were told we couldn't participate in our scheduled session. Instead of working with us or showing any customer service, they forced us to reschedule an entire week later. To make matters worse, they refused to issue any refund despite not providing the service we paid for. Life happens, and being 5 minutes late should not result in losing your appointment with no flexibility or refund options. The staff showed no understanding and seemed more interested in enforcing rigid policies than helping paying customers. A business that values its customers would have found a reasonable solution. We did the The Spy House Starter Combo Package (Rage Room, Paintball, Escape Room, Game Lounge) Rage room: Never done it before and it was a cool experience. There were plenty of bottles and other items to hit (dryer, tires, chairs, wood pieces, etc.). There were lots of tools (small/big/heavy/light), something for everyone. You're given a hard hat, glasses, and gloves. You can play music on their speaker ("soundmate"). They did end our session after 20 minutes (instead of 25mins) but we were ready to move on anyway. Water bottle given at end, and I was grateful for that! Rate: 8/10 Escape room: this was pretty simple with 3 people but we did get stumped once. Good thing you're given hints before entering (take a picture). It was fun. Given 60 minutes to complete. Rate: 7/10 Paintball: this was my favorite part. It goes by super fast but fun experience. You're given glasses, and you'll need them because paint does splatter back on you. It wasn't difficult to wipe it off with a little wet paper towel. Lower rating only bc we only spent like 2-3 minutes then ran out of paint. Rate: 6.5/10 Game room: it's connected to the axe throwing so it's entertaining watching others do that. The area also has arcade games, pool table, lots of seating, air hockey, cards, music playing, card games, etc. tons of stuff to keep you occupied. We hung out here for a good 20 minutes playing chess. Ha! Overall, I'd rate it 8/10. The staff was nice, they escorted us to and explained each step. We did meet both Stephanie and Adam, they were pleasant to us. Sad to hear the other reviews about the staff bc we truly had a good experience. It was a cool time for us. This was our day date/anniversary date, or at least the start of it! I picked up the couples package for the missus and I to go bananas. First, the staff was great and greeted us as we arrived. She explained what we could and couldn't do. When we got suites up with our protective gear and clothing, it was off to breaking stuff! Our breakables were surrounded by rose petals -- cute touch! We had some beer bottles, champagne flutes, and a patron bottle. There were also other goodies like some older chair backs and water heaters. After, we cooled down next door with some ping pong and video games. This would have 5 stars if there was some sort of sound system. I blared Coal Chamber from my phone because, why not! If you could connect your playlist and fill the room with rage music--A+! Also, if you could bring your own breakables, that'd be rad. We have tons of stuff to break, and heck, maybe for divorces or breakups, this might be a fun package to bring the others junk! Just because it's not 5 stars doesn't mean it isn't worth going. So I don't even know where to begin. This was the worst experience I've ever experienced from any place of business. This was part of my birthday activity and it was a group of six of us, the moment we walked in Stephanie Wagner was immediately hostile to us and told us we would have to reschedule because we were late, and we were not our appointment was for 12 and we arrive before 12. She constantly kept saying she would have to reschedule us, she was extremely rude, even too, I don't know if that's her husband/business partner or brother whoever it was his name is Adam Wagner. He was actually kind. We were talking amongst each other, trying to figure out what we need to do, and she kept button in our conversation, speaking to us with nasty attitude. After giving us disgusting attitude. I told her that she needs to work on herself Because we are customers, and she told me go FUCK MYSELF while flicking me off!!! I only had A taste of her for about 20 minutes, if Adam is married to her, then God help him because I feel his pain, she is completely miserable, and as you can see from the picture, his face speaks of it. He was completely over it, and you can tell he has gone through this before. I feel extremely bad for him, because she clearly has issues. The only positive out of the whole situation was Adam being able to refund us our money. Other than that the experience there was absolutely disgusting!!!! We had a 5:00 PM appointment at SMASH IT and arrived at 4:47 PM. Immediately upon entering, we were met by a staff member named Stephanie who told us, "You're late and you'll need to reschedule." I politely informed her that our appointment was still more than 10 minutes away and that the rest of our party was in the parking lot. She then responded rudely, saying, "You were late last time too." I calmly corrected her and explained that our previous appointment was rescheduled because someone in our group was sick. At that point, the owner joined the conversation and initially told us we couldn't participate because we weren't dressed appropriately. We explained that we had brought our own hazmat suits -- the same ones we had used at their facility just last month (We have pics to prove it) After seeing them, he changed his reasoning and said we wouldn't have enough time to suit up. We responded that we were fine with starting a few minutes late and understood we might lose a bit of time, but were still eager to participate. Instead of working with us, the owner escalated the situation. He began yelling, cursing, and ultimately told us to "get the f*** out." It was aggressive, unprofessional, and completely uncalled for -- especially since this was a rescheduled session from a previous visit that they had refused to refund. In our experience, the staff was hostile, the management was unaccommodating, and the overall atmosphere was anything but welcoming. They seemed more interested in creating conflict than providing a customer-focused experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend SMASH IT to others. First visit- ordered the couples package, extra glass bottles, plates and paintball We arrived at 8:50 (email said to arrive a couple minutes early) we had already filled out the waiver online so it was pretty smooth. We went to put our things in the locker (they ask us wear long sleeve and pants and closed toed shoes fyi) then they give you a hard hat and googles- kayla gave us the instructions and took a pic of us, she brought us a speaker so we can listen to music (unfortunately she didnt know the speaker name and we couldnt pair it so we just played from our phone because we didnt want to waste time) Now the room itself had the glass set up which was fun BUT unfortunately everything else was already beat up so it didnt give us the "smashing" feeling we wanted- we still enjoyed it to the best of our abilities- we started at 9 on the dot but sadly she told us we went done at 9:15 we asked how long we paid for and she said 20 min (yes im aware its a 5 minute diff BUT thats what we paid for) we didnt want to cause trouble so we left to the next part. The paintball is next door and she seemed to not remember what we paid for and was arguing a bit w Adam the other owner while I was there which was awkward. I absolutely loved the paintballing section and Adam was nice enough to give me a bit more! I had an awesome time at this location, Stephanie was kind to help during the transaction process when I needed to cancel one of the activities. Upon reaching this location, I was excited to see these arcade games such as pac-man! I like the concept of this place because it gives you an opportunity to choose what you want to play. It's a fun place to hangout with your pals as well an event! We did the paintball starter for 3 people which was $69 total & they provide you with goggles. I do recommend wearing clothes that you don't care for and long pants and long sleeve because it doesn't get messy! We were using the paintball gun to shoot a variety of items from the shelf. It was fun because all 3 of us were able to shoot all the items!! The ping pong table was also very fun as well as the darts. This is a really fun experience. I will definitely be back to do the rage room which consists of hitting stuff and de-stressing! I think this is such a great way to release some stress and a great therapy experience. This place is an amazing way to get your frustrations out. They take safety pretty seriously and give proper and sufficient safety equipment, they watch you on a camera to make sure your group remains safe, and (based on some of the other reviews) turn intoxicated people away . I would definitely come back here again. I paid for a group package and ended up with a ton of stuff to break including an industrial printer... I was having printer issues at home so this was great! If I could leave no stars, I would. Had a reservation of just two, a friend and myself. I had arrived on time, their message states to arrive 15 minutes prior to sign a waiver and get set up, mentions that if you arrive after 5 minutes, you will have to be rescheduled. They also send you a link to sign an e-waiver but the link didn't work for both my friend and I. My friend was arriving 2-4 minutes after the reservation time and had called ahead of time to speak with Stephanie to see what she can do as she was the one who made the reservation. Stephanie was already pretty rude on the phone, doubting my friend would even make it on time and even asking how far she was, the street names and etc. When I arrived, Stephanie was the one who greeted me and her husband was on the check in desk. Stephanie was already giving me a hassle because my friend was arriving late. I told her I could start signing the waiver if it makes it easier. She proceeded to ask me about the e-waiver and didn't believe me that the link didn't work until I showed her the page. "Oh, how weird. It worked for everyone else." She took the time to show me how the link does even though it just didn't work for my friend and I, I even showed her. Her husband was next to me and rudely asked her if we were the party for the smash room and just blatantly told her to give us the refund since we were causing such a hassle. Always on the hunt for unique date spots, recently we decided to visit the Smashit House and reserved a private room for an hour. The sign up process was easy since we were able to sign the paperwork online before arriving. Stephanie was friendly and efficient. She showed us to our locker to keep our valuables and other accessories that could potentially be damaged from the activity. The explanation in the room was thorough and we felt very safe with all the staff onsite wearing masks and vaccinated. We got to play our own music, we're given a wide variety of tools including wrenches, sledgehammer, crowbars, golf club, and tennis racket. Anything in the room besides the doors and walls was fair game to smash. Our favorite items to smash were the beer bottles, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, and the furnace in the corner. The VIP lounge to cool down afterwards was perfect. Water, A/C and arcade games to wind down was very much appreciated. Great couples therapy and good for team work. Highly recommend! read more

My mom and I came very late, and I truly appreciate Adam still accommodating us, we drove from miami beach! So three starts for his nice-ness! However, we got a couples package with extra 20 glass breakable items, which were only thick glass beer bottles I could smash in my own backyard. Piece of furniture as described in the package was a joke, some small decorations snowman piece. And one toaster. On top Of that everything was laying on the floor, so if u have back problems and bending over is not an option for you I'd suggest you ask in advance if they can do something about it. It was quite disappointing with music also, they provided a small weak speaker, and two of them died on us after two minutes of playing. So i had to play music just on my phone. The walls were wooden, so the bottles wouldn't break when u throw them , u had to smash them off the floor only. There were road sign, which I personally had most fun with. It was my first experience in smash room, but my mom has been to a different one before, that had a table that everything was set up on. And had large speakers where u can play music loud! Overall the place is cool and concept it too! I just wish there was more variation of things to break rather that 35 beer bottles. This could have been a great experience except that the vibe with customer service was off because of a manager or owner reprimanding an employee right outside the door of the establishment. I was there to celebrate my birthday and there was barely a welcome. The staff were trying but the mood of this manager was permeating throughout. As he addressed another group you could hear the matter of fact rudeness, as if the customers were in the way, disrupting him from his dealings and he needing to move them along. I felt like I was bothering someone in their home. It was weird. The 30 minutes of smashing was great but thought that most of the heavy items were indestructible. Great for hitting, banging and making a lot of noise but nothing else. If I had not purchased additional items to break plus 3 items that I brought, it would have not been worth it. This was a great 1-and-done type of activity, at least at this location. They need a better on site manager who treats their employees and customers better. Ok, after reading some of the reviews here, I need to make something perfectly clear... ... Rage Rooms can be VERY dangerous. Even if you follow the rules, you have to go in knowing that there are items that can cause injury no matter how safe you are when you utilize them for the purposes of this experience. Why am I bringing this up? Because a lot of people don't seem to get why the owners of a place like this aren't going to be coddling bend over backwards types when it comes to accommodating every request. They will try their best (they certainly did for us!) but they can't cater to every whim, especially considering the consequences if people use poor judgement. They have to be strict to ensure the safety of their guests and the smooth operation of their business. Now with that being said... they provide an AMAZING experience! Lots of goodies to breaks and tools to break them with, plus letting us play our own music. Stephanie was very thorough in covering all the rules and helping us get set up with our safety gear (btw, they provide goggles, gloves, and hard hats... proper clothing and shoes are the guests' responsibility) and she made sure everything ran smoothly. They watch you while you do your thing to make sure no one ends up in danger and any issues can be addressed immediately. One girl in our group had a hard hat that was too big and when it fell off, Stephanie immediately ran in to give her a replacement. That to me shows a tremendous amount of care and responsibility towards one's guests. They don't play with you, because they can't! She was also kind enough to bring us water halfway (this experience is a workout!) and was super kind to a member of our group who got a little overwhelmed (your emotions can get a workout here, too.) I also want to address something regarding the racism accusations in other posts: I am Hispanic and Middle Eastern and several members of my group are POCs and at no point was anyone treated with anything other than respect, dignity, and consideration. I visited 2/24/22 for the couples combo rage room/ax throwing and had a great time! We started with the rage room for about 20 minutes which was plenty of time to smash the small breakables and even hit some of the more oversized items in the room, such as lawn chairs, tires, etc. They gave us some safety gear beforehand and sanitizer after, which was nice. Next, we did the ax-throwing, where you get two lanes next to each other to yourself and two types of axes and Ninja stars, which was a fun experience! After that, we added the plate throwing, which was a neat surprise! We got 3 plates to write things on the plate we wanted to let go of. Once we wrote everything down, we threw the plates to "Let that shit go." Finally, we ended our visit with some games in the game room, which are free to enjoy after your session. Overall we had a great time, and the owners were so friendly! The owners are a husband and wife duo, and they informed us they opened up not too long ago. They were fantastic; definitely consider supporting this small business!
