Denny was honest, and helpful. I went in to get my smog certificate, Denny saw my check engine light was on, and told me my car wouldn't pass. He informed what the process was, and said I needed to take care of the reason why my engine light was on first. I did, thankfully it was a small problem, I returned, and Denny had me in and out on about 20 minutes. I can't tell you how much I appreciated his honesty. He could have taken my money, and ran the test, knowing I would fail, then have to return after the problem was taken of and be charged again for another test. Been there many times in the past and never had a problem, always had great service, but this time an older male assisted me. He was not friendly at all and was on his cell talking about something not working in the shop while I was waiting for my car. Keep in mind I was the only person there, at least say I'm sorry for the delay. I understand we all have issues, but customer service should come first. In addition, when I went to pay I told him I had a coupon and he charge me $70.00, I'm sorry, but I think I'll be looking for another place from now on who will honor the $25.00 dollars coupon they have on their website. I have brought many cars here and had always received exceptional service. A couple of weeks ago I stopped by and a new guy was there. Said the business had been sold and he was the new smog tech. Told me to come back later as he was too busy. No cars there.... said he had not had lunch yet. So I came back a few days later and told me the vehicle would fail. I tried asking him some questions and he would cut me off. After several attempts on my part to gather some info he said "I'm tired and don't have time for this. Take it somewhere else." Why go anywhere else when he is always efficient, the best price in town (bring coupons or mention), and time spent is minimal? There are comfortable chairs, magazines, free retest within 30 days (and some hints from him which helped me PASS without any repair bills... get an oil change, fresh new air filter, lower idle, and cleaned my gas tank with an injector cleaner)... and I am F E M A L E!!! Successful PASS makes us all happy... so THE SMOG SHOP is my FOREVER smog place!! I take my car, my kids' cars, recommend him to all my friends, and all have been pleased with the outcome.
