Been coming here for soap and bath related items since 2009. The owner is a really nice, helpful lady who knows her merchandise well, and keeps her shoppe clean. The stuff she sells always smells great, and she also sells some fancy imported soap for a good price if you're on a budget like I am. You can purchase a higher quality bar of soap, seasonal or not, for $5 for yourself, or treat yourself to one of the bars of pre-cut soaps she keeps behind the counter for about $9. I've bought my last two bottles of the popular toilet spray from her and they keep my bathroom and part of the hallway smelling clean. She also has a section for us guys with soaps, shaving lotions and kits, and aftershave gel. She does have a blending bar, which I can't comment on since I've yet to use it. But it seems like I would considering she has a lot of scents to choose from. Overall The Soap Box is a nice little bathtime boutique with great items for any budget. I highly recommend taking the time to at least visit. You also won't be dissappointed with her selection of rubber ducks! read more

Warning to you guys out there- if you have a female in tow (in actuality, you will be the one in tow), avoid and go get a beer lest you be in there for quite some time and hearing repeatedly "how does this one smell?" This store changed my life. I feel as if my eyes have been opened to the world around me and I'm seeing, nay, smelling, for the first time. As soon as I opened the door, my nose was met with many wonderful scents. I became a globetrotter as I smelled soap like "sicilian orange" and "French pear." I absolutely love this place they have the best oils .. You must try there beach oil perfume last all day .. Spray after you get out of the shower all over your body .. makes your skin feel soft and shiny and never leaves you all day .. The bonus is after you spray your bathroom smells amazing.. I always make a stop here whenever I come to port Jefferson. This store has lots of lovely smelling soaps and lotions. I am a big fan of the goats milk lotion that they sell. They have a huge display of rubber duckies that my daughter loves. Today my daughter bought a really nice bar of soap that smells great. The lost gave her a small soap for free. She is very happy with her purchase, and the customer service is very friendly. read more

This store is outstanding. To start, Mariana (apologies i I am spelling your name wrong) is just great. Polite, patient and cares about the costumers. The product selection is great: from different price ranges but everything very high quality. Great soaps, lotions and candles. If you are a fan of healthy products that smell great, this a good store for you. Price wise is not cheap, but the products are not cheap at all. I have always loved this shop until today when the clerk asked my 7 year old son to leave because she thought he was going to a steal rubber duck.
