I'd had a Butler's Boardroom lunch in January at a working lunch, and it was refreshingly delightful for a "box" lunch. We fed 8 people for $129, which included a $25 delivery charge. Not bad. Each box lunch ($11) comes with fruit cup, deli-style potato chips and chef's choice dessert (cookies, lemon square, pecan brownie, raspberry bar or gooey butter bar). For $1.25 extra, you can also get a salad: Sicilian pasta salad, dill red potato salad, Thai sesame noodles or Mediterranean salad. Many items were ordered, including: tuna salad on wheat with a dill red potato salad veggie wrap (no avocado) with added provolone Butler's club of smoked turkey, bacon, lettuce and lorraine Swiss on herb ciabatta Cape Cod salad with chicken (cranberry viniagrette on the side) Thai chicken wrap (no carrots, no snow peas) beef tenderloin wrap with a Sicilian pasta salad baby spinach salad (special request for the pecan brownie) You can see the special requests of these orders . . . no avocado, viniagrette on the side, no carrots, no snow peas, pecan brownie. Every order was absolutely perfect per the diner's request. I got the butcher block, smoked turkey, roast top round, ham, salami, Cheddar jack cheese on herb brioche with a Mediterranean salad. This was an incredibly wonderful, huge, fresh sandwich. It came with stone-ground mustard, that was unique . . . couldn't have too much of it. The Mediterranean salad was Kalamata olives, pasta, tomatoes and artichoke hearts in a vinaigrette. Absolutely delicious! I saved my fruit cup and potato chips for later, and gave my dessert away. It was an incredible amount of food. Everybody enjoyed their selections. There was a time when no conversation was occurring . . . that's when everybody was diving into their food! This was a great option!! Every box was clearly labeled, and the ordered salads were in a separate box. Delivery was right on time. Everything was packaged in fabulous recyclable vessels!!

The cheese was real aged cheese. The fruit was fresh. The delicious brownie did not taste store bought. All around it felt like a gourmet lunch.

We were planning a holiday gathering for family and friends when I learned about Lillian Judith…read moreCatering. Thank goodness!! Stephanie worked closely with us to determine the menu. Because our guests had a lot of food issues - gluten, nut and dairy it was a real challenge! Stephanie carefully curated a menu that hit all of our requirements. In addition, because we live out of town for most of the year, our decorations, holiday plates and whatnot were quite limited. Stephanie put my fears to rest by assuring me she'd take care of all the details. As the day of the party dawned, we had the place all cleaned up and ready. Stephanie and Mary arrived about an hour before the guests and set to work transforming our little place into a festive, inviting party spot. We had holiday cocktails and mocktails, delicious heavy appetizers and desserts that were out of this world. Stephanie literally thought of everything. All the food was labeled so our guests could choose foods that were best for their food sensitivities. At the end of the party they gathered everything up, helped set aside uneaten food for later consumption and left with very little for us to other than sweep the floor and fall into bed after a very fun and satisfying gathering of friends. The event manager, Tyler, would go unresponsive for weeks at a time, but didn't set an out-of-office message. Also, he sent the license and insurance the day before the wedding. These two factors added a lot of stress during our planning process. Worse, the food was cold, which made it unappetizing, especially for brunch. I couldn't finish my plate. We also paid extra for raspberry filling on our cake, but there was barely any. The little amount was overshadowed by the buttercream that tasted like plain butter. Unfortunately, the poor communication and cold food overshadowed what could have been a great experience.

We were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. All of the dishes were so incredible and didn't taste like they had been mass-produced. Our wedding had around 140 guests in attendance and we never ran low on food. The menus were truly chic and yummy and something our guests were able to actually enjoy and a positive topic of conversation all evening down to our late night orange chicken. The signature cocktails and the entire bar was top notch and we felt as through we were at a fancy speakeasy! Tyler and The Fifth Wheel Catering paid such incredible attention to detail and were truly a delight to work with. I can't recommend The Fifth Wheel Catering enough!
