Never a disappointment. My husband and I will spend whole Saturday's enjoying the food and ambiance. My only complaint would be the bathroom being pretty dirty on most occasions but I know they get very busy and it is what they have to work with. Everything else is great. Rude staff, very long wait times for food. We arrived by boat on Labor Day and AT OPENING (can't emphasize this enough) for breakfast, which was advertised both on the order screen and online. We were told they were not serving breakfast menu, only lunch. Ok cool--but why? It was 10am and made no sense. There was 1 other table seated when we got there and figured it should be quick and then we could get out on the water, so we stayed. Wrong choice. It took an hour for our party of 4 (blts, chicken sandwiches). Not one member of staff was friendly. We will not be back. 1 star is generous, but there is not a lower rating option. read more

This was my first time going, and I arrived by car, it's much easier to find parking by boat they by car. Parking was difficult and getting in the front door. Once inside, we got a water front table on the deck. I think whoever builds the tables, needs to consider the height of the deck rail. All those nice boats coming in and all I could see was deck rail. Beers, sweaty can told me all I needed to know. Burger, overcooked, but I could eat, fries nicely cooked and seasoned and plenty of them. Chicken fingers were, chicken fingers. Bushwhackers very tasty, don't drink too many if you're driving, boat or car. We will probably be back this weekend. We support our local lake economy. read more

Wasted management- untrained staff. Posted on Yelp as closed when open and vice versa. Long food lines with no one even taking orders - Sad. Stock Out of entrees yet item still showing on digital menu. Patrons can't control their oversized pets with no respect for other customers. Like any business the social has some improvements to make but they are working on it. We went several times and we absolutely loved the atmosphere. It's all outdoor setting and you're allowed to bring your leashes dog. Drinks are on point. Always have been able to find seating as well. read more

Summer 2024 will be my third year frequenting the Social. It is one of only a few restaurants accessible by boat. Ideally, I'd love to see more slips for docking. Unfortunately, a tornado took out some trees in the area but, fortunately, made for more car parking. The weekends during prime boating season can get a little wild after dark but the restaurant is a fun family (and pet friendly) place until about 7 or 8PM. And who doesn't love live music, right? I appreciate the fact that students are able to get summer jobs there, but they also have enough "seasoned" workers to keep things rolling smoothly most of the time. I have a favorite bartender but they are all pretty friendly. I'm not much of a drinker but I haven't heard very many complaints regarding mixed drinks. On beautiful days, expect a large crowd. Expect somewhat longer than normal wait times on ordering and receiving your food. Expect some mix ups on orders. And sometimes, the food will only be subpar. But 9.5 times out of 10, the runners bring my food out with a smile. All things considered, I love hanging out/eating at the Social. Like others have said, it takes forever to order and even longer to get your food and when it arrives it's mediocre at best and sometimes not worth eating. Stay away from the cheese sticks for sure. We were a group of 4. Nobody's food came out together and one came out in a Go box. They didn't bring us silverware and she. I asked for some at the bar they looked like I was bothering them during their personal conversation between staff members. The only saving grace for the place is that the drinks are great. Oh and don't even think about going by boat. They have about 10 parking spots. Sadly we will go back because we live about a mile away and our options are limited. Vacationing at Lake Martin for two weeks, took our boat here three times. Had quick, awesome service for a party of 6 every time! Great location, delicious food, terrific customer service, yummy drinks! Super friendly and even took great care of our dog on the patio! Love it and will definitely be back! read more
