As the only donut shop I could find in South Alabama that opens at 4:30 a.m., they gained my attention. All other shops weren't opening until later after I would have already departed the area on my road trip to Louisiana. So I gave Donuts D Lite a try. And I'm glad I did! I highly recommend their vanilla cream filled donut, probably the star of the show. All of their other flavors are delicious as well, and they even threw in a few tasty donut holes with my order. The service is always good, and staff have always been friendly and caring. All the locations we visited were fairly new and nice and clean. Sometimes it can get loud in certain locations, but that was never a real issue. Today, I had the seasonal special of the "Chimichurri Steak & Eggs Hash". WOW! It was impressive. Everything was perfectly seasoned, well-cooked, and plated beautifully. I also had the "French Toast". It was sweet but enjoyable. We had an incredibly positive visit, and we will visit there again.

We asked the waitress for full cups of hot, fresh coffee, silverware, and another plate, as we had ordered. When I got home with it, the order was completely wrong. Waffle House does not have a telephone number where you can call and talk to a manager. I had to get in my vehicle and drive up there only to be greeted by a worker who was hostile. She kept blaming it all on the fact she was the only one there. I told her that was not my problem that my order was wrong and I wanted it fixed. I finally got disgusted and walked out and she followed me out to my vehicle still telling me I was trespassed from there.
