First impressions are everything & I highly doubt I'll ever come back to this spa. I called Thursday to schedule appointment and was on hold for too long. So i called back on Friday around 430 to schedule appointments for myself and my mother for Saturday at 530 which was the only available slot. I gave my name, phone number etc. I arrived today at about 516 to be told I didn't have an appointment it was scheduled for Friday not Saturday. I wasn't contacted and it ruined the surprise for my mom. She had to settle for a funky 30 minute foot massage (she said wasnt even worth it) instead of the hour full body I scheduled for the both of us bc they wouldn't have any availability til after 7. It sucks that no one contacted me back and the lady who scheduled the appointment I repeated everything. She verified the time and day. She even remembered our conversation when she couldnt locate our reservation. Thanks for ruining our mothers day surprise. read more

Upon entering my mom and I were looking forward to the full body and foot massage. Overall she had a good experience up until the end. When her massage was over, she realized the door was partially open and that the man from the front was staring in at her as she dressed. When he realized she saw him, he told someone to close the door. I, on the other had, had a horrible experience for many reasons. 1. I undressed down to my underwear, which I normally do. The therapist pulled my underwear down without my permission. I have had the top of my underwear rolled down before if it interferes with them being able to massage my lower back but never pulled down below my buttocks. This should not be done. 2. He brought his cell phone into the room and answered a phone call. He tried to give me a one handed massage while on the phone. The conversation lasted about 3 minutes and I finally told him to get off the phone or step out. 3. He did not use proper draping/covering when massaging the lower half of my body. Instead of one leg being exposed, the whole lower half of my body was out. 4. I heard the door to my room open and another presence in the doorway 2x. When I asked if someone was in the room he said he did not speak English. 5. He left the door open when he went out to get a heated towel and did not close the door when he returned to finish the massage. :( 6. I was not offered tea or water after my massage. 7. I waited 10 minutes for someone to begin my foot massage. The man from the front (who was answering the phone and taking payments) did my foot massage. Since no on was up front he had to stop 2x to go handle business. 8. Neither one of my services were the full hour as stated. They were 40-45 minutes. 9. When I shared my experience with the man at the front he made it seem like it was ok for him to be on the phone because it may have been the man's wife and they were discussing some ticket. I have no idea since it was not in English, but it was poor service. Then the man at the front dismissed me and acted as if he did not understand English (which I know was not the case because we had a conversation earlier) and that he did not want to hear anything I had to say. I left highly disappointed and unsatisfied. I would not go there again or recommend this place. read more

I came in for a 30 minute foot massage. I left wishing it had been longer but it felt like I was walking on clouds. The spa has a tiny waiting room with enough sitting for 2 people, but 4 more can stand comfortably. The actual spa room is dimly lit but incredibly relax once you enter (ringers off please). This was one of the best foot massages I ever had. I fell asleep and started snoring loudly all from the tranquility of the environment and the wonderful hands that pampered my feet. The experience my girlfriend and I had at this spa was not great, at all. I was massaged with my jean jacket on, almost felt like nothing was done once I left. The 45 minute session my girlfriend and I had didn't even feel like 45 minutes, at all! My girlfriend paid 120$ in total just for them to be rough and the massagers to not know what they were doing. Everyone needs at least a 30-minute foot massage. If you work in the service industry or anywhere that keeps you on your feet for long hours, go in for the 60-minute package, which includes the neck, shoulders and arms. This is not a nail salon by any means...this is a real spa experience that offers reflexology. And I still can't believe that you can get an hour foot, leg arm, hand neck, shoulder and scalp massage for only $35!!! Every time I visit I have such a great experience! The customer service is wonderful and they greet you with tea, water or wine. My favorite massage technician is Frank...he is thorough and knows how to apply the right amount of pressure. read more

The Sole Spa is the real deal!! This sounds ridiculous, but after an intense singles tennis match my feet and body were in need of some lovin'. After driving by countless times, I decided to try the Sole Spa. Thank goodness they had room for me. You walk into a super dark communal room, your eyes adjust and you could easily be in a Far East spa, but instead you're on Pharr Rd. They sit you in a reclining chair and someone brings you a warm bucket of water and you immediately begin to relax. The foot massage is awesome and the next thing you know it's a full body, clothed massage - it's fabulous!! When the hour massage is over, you are completely relaxed. This was my second visit to Sole Spa- so heavenly and so much better the second time around! I called Friday morning to see if there was any availability for three people that evening. There was no answer so I left a message and before noon, a very nice lady by the name of Carmen had already returned my call and confirmed the three appointments. We opted for the 60 min foot massage at $35/hour. This is a little higher than I'm used to paying on Buford Hwy but it's within walking distance from work and there is a deal on loafdeals.com Even without a discount, it's worth it. The place is clean, serene, dark and quiet. It's a perfect way to wind down after a busy work week! Ask for Rachel, she is awesome! I am giving this place 3 stars because I have been here many times and have truly enjoyed my back massages. HOWEVER.... I went today and it was a crazy scene. 1 star experience. Everything was going alright, I was happy to get the knots out of my back.. then BOOM. Girl gets on top of me and is riding me like seabiscuit. Her knees are on my ass. Please picture this scene. Why she on top of me??? She's swinging my arms left and right and my boobs are flopping around. Why is this happening?? I just wanna lay here and relax. Then she squeezed my neck so hard it almost seemed as if she wanted to punish me. Ok so the worst part was at the end when she left... she comes back in 20 seconds later (no knocking) and sees me in the nude!!! All to give me a cup of water that she should give me when I come out.. obviously.. I'm like lady... please no, I don't want that cup of water. This was a completely heavenly experience. I've been twice. The first time I did the back and foot massage. It was an amazing experience. I thought I had had a foot massage before, but it was nothing like this. The back massage was deep and got rid of the upper back knots I had as a result of sitting at a computer all day. My second massage was a full body massage. It was fantastically relaxing. It is a FULL body massage, so be ready for that. I had Jason on my back both times and he really gets everything relaxed. I will definitely be back to continue with the back and foot massages. I am so happy this place recently opened. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing and clean. A massage is suppose to be a relaxing and pleasing experience and this was nothing short of. I was greeted with smiling faces and asked if I would like a beverage. The lobby was bright and airy and when time for my full body massage I was taken through a dark door and lead into a oasis of a room. Not only was there a lot of attention to decor but also in the massage. I had a 60 min massage in which they spent getting all my knots out. I have no words to even describe how fantastic my two hour spa package was I would highly recommend using Frank if you like more of a deep tissue but I believe he's trained in everything I cannot remember the young lady at the front but she was extremely helpful and she even gave me back my money for parking. like I said I would recommend Sole Spa to anybody I went in for my lower back and my feet due to recent knee surgery and I feel great today. Oh also, park in the public parking they will issue a return on parking ticket :) don't forget to ask ! The Sole Spa is a much needed oasis in Atlanta. I visited on a whim and decided to get fire cupping done. From the ease of making an appointment (I called an hour before I came in) to the prices (only $20!!!), my experience at The Sole Spa was very pleasant. The only cons are the lack of parking spots, which seems to be the norm in Buckhead, and the extremely dark rooms, which while relaxing, can be hard to adjust to after being in the bright waiting room. Came here yesterday to enjoy a birthday massage. My bestfriend booked us both the two hour indulge package at $140 each. My friend was running late so i got started before her. it's about 7:10 pm. My massage was okay, the masseuse was pretty much just lotioning my body can't really say i got a good massage but i'm not picky so i didn't say anything. by the time It reached 7:50 she was already done with the full body massage. mind you it's only been 40 minutes of what's suppose to be a 60 min massage. I just went with the flow as i though i'd get a very long foot massage and i wanted to drink my wine anyways. I sit in the chair by 8 and by 8:42 she thanks me for getting the massage and directs me to where to change and pay. Each part of my massage was shortened. As we're leaving my friend leaves first and hears one of our masseuse saying "the last massage was weird" or something of that nature then stopped speaking when she saw her. Now to me i don't wanna say they were being racist as we were the only black woman in there but my money spends just as good as any one else's. There was nothing weird or off putting about me or my friend to say that so to me It had to be cause we're black. I went to the sole spa in buckhead last week. It was a wonderful experience. This was my first time visiting this place because my good friend recommended it to me. I am very happy i decided to visit. I requested Miley, because my friend referred me to her. Miley did an amazing job on me. I felt completely rejuvenated after my session with her. She was very skilled and also made sure to use just enough pressure to make me feel good but not so much that it hurt. I also noticed that everyone in the building was taking extreme precautions relative to the CDC Covid19 guidelines. Everyone was wearing the appropriate protective equipment. Everyone that I saw in the spa was very friendly and kind. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing experience to visit this spa. You will not be disappointed! read more

I really like this spa. Very comforting, very low lighting, and quiet. They offer a myriad of services but their massages are usually what I do. You need to get an appointment before coming. I used a travelzoo coupon that was supposed to be a 2 hr massage. The place smelled like Chinese food inside. It wasn't the usual aroma therapeutic spa smell. The whole body massage was horrible. They didnt practice proper covering. When she started working on my legs. My whole back was uncovered and it was getting chilly. They also rehang the robe I used...which made me wonder how many customer had used that robe before me. Gross! The guy at the front desk also told me that I should have used the free parking instead of the valet that he had to voucher. I was really hoping that this would be a great place since I like supporting small business. Unfortunately, this place doesn't qualify as a true spa place. I currently had to call out from work today due to pain in my shoulder blades, lower back and sciatica shooting in my leg that I felt happen after my massage. I went in Saturday and paid for another person plus a 33% tip. It was going great until I felt that pop near my spine in my shoulder blade. I hoped it would relax but called sunday and was told a manager would call me. I had to call today (monday) and was told a manager would return my call again when he returned from NC and to go to my doctor. My friend had a great time with a different masseuse and wish I could say the same. I am going to a specialist at 3:20pm today. I visited one afternoon with a friend and was excited to try the foot, back & head massage combo. We were escorted into a blacked out room with soft music and flickering candlelight. We were then handed a robe and pointed towards the restroom -- to wait (in silence), since there's only one, single, solitary toilet. Mums the word in the shared treatment space so be prepared, so you're not "that" person bumping around causing a stir in the dark. Not for the easily angst'd. Did I mention the facility is a shared treatment space? It wasn't a big deal for us, but you will be in close proximity to strangers who are also getting their what-nots rubbed on. My issue was the treatment itself. I paid for what I thought was a foot massage and an oh-so anticipated SCALP massage. What I got was a decent foot massage and a FACE (not scalp, not head) massage that rubbed off all my makeup, without any warning! Being acne prone, I'm skittish about what touches my skin and was completely caught off-guard with the random face rubbing and indiscriminate product slathering. From that point on, I just wanted it to end. Once I got that "OK, I'm done" tap, I hauled it to the bathroom to rinse the oily lotion off my face. Despite my unpleasant experience, my "therapist?" was nice and I didn't scrimp on the tip. read more

I purchased a travelzoo deal for this spa and went in October 2011. Here is a snapshot of my experience. The Upside 1) The spa is gorgeous and you really feel like you are entering a sanctuary filled with serenity. 2) My massage was quite relaxing once I got it (see point 3 below to understand this comment) The Downside 1) The candlelit room is open so every time they open the door to the lobby (they open it frequently), the light comes in. The need to have a partition or something because it destroys the relaxation and mood. 2) The phone rings and they answer it in the relaxation room; again destroying the relaxation and mood. 3) The day I went, they did not have enough staff. I had a 2 hour appt and was there 15 minutes early. They started my treatment 30 minutes late and then just left me for nearly 45 minutes. I finally pointed out to them that they had taken a male customer and reassigned my therapist. The front desk guy came and finished my foot massage. I ended up being there for 3.5 hours. Overall, the substandard service and lack of organization demonstrated during my visit is the driver for my rating. I know 3 other people who visited at separate times and their experiences were similar to mine; in fact, my experience was much better than theirs as one of them reported dirty linen on the massage table and feeling "violated" during the massage as the therapist was not discerning in the areas that he touched. When she told him about it, he kept acting as if he didn't understand. It really is unfortunate as I believe this place has a lot of potential. I recommend a better scheduling system to ensure adequate staffing, especially when they put out travelzoo or groupon specials and research on what high end clients expect given their Buckhead location. Personally, I won't be going back to Sole Spa unless they make some major changes to their service and I definitely would not recommend any of my friends or family going there. Major word of caution, don't buy any of the specials as a gift as your reciepent will most likely be disappointed and frustrated and you will have to buy them another spa treatment to alleviate the stress from their visit to Sole Spa. read more

Disappointed and dissatisfied. I had been coming here for the past 2 1/2 years, on special occasions. The last visit on November 7th , I paid to have my girlfriend treated to the Indulgence Package. It was newly brought to my attention that her last two visits at this spa have not been near what it has been previously. They now only provide fully clothed massages (which is not mentioned at all in their package), and they no longer offer the hot coal service, yet, it is still listed in their package. So its false advertisement all across the board. If me or my companions wanted to pay for a fully clothed massage with falsely listed services, we would have just gone somewhere else, and for less. I reached out via email to address my concerns, and potentially come to some sort of resolve and of course, I got no response. Yet, they are usually pretty prompt when you want to book with them via email. Funny. Extremely disappointed, and disgusted with this place, as this use to be a place to brag about. Please, take your money to an establishment that will value you and at least, honor their end of services instead of lying to you about them and then disappearing when in question. Luckily for them, I sent her the money directly or else, I'd absolutely be reversing my payment. read more

I read the reviews and was surprised. The receptionist was friendly, professional and informative. I settled on a 50 minute package that included a foot massage, face and hair massage; neck shoulders and back and thighs and arms! Wow! The atmosphere is calm, relaxing and serene. I felt guilty reading my book on my phone. It didn't matter because soon I had a hot compress covering my eyes and wrapped around my neck. I was in heaven. There was a sea salt scrub and eucalyptus oils and a hot stone! I was totally relaxed. Upon checking in, I received my beverage and was escorted through a quiet, candlelit communal area with several massage stations filled with clients, on the way to my private massage room. I received a 60 minute full body massage with Rachael. The massage was AMAZING, which was enhanced with aromatherapy oils.
