The receptionist who helped checked me in at 1:30pm on 3.1.26 was super nice and reassuring especially when the payment system wasn't working properly. However when another employee had just started her shift immediately complained about the chaos saying customers can't be trusted to answer calls or pay if the system continues to act up...which felt unprofessional as a customer but I focused on the one receptionist who was helpful and didn't let it ruin my experience. My friends and I went to Utopia on Valentine's Day to get massages as a part of my bestie's bachelorette trip to Atlanta. We all absolutely loved this place! We got foot and shoulder massages where you sit in a really comfy chair and while your neck and shoulders are getting massaged, you soak your feet in hot, very soothing water. You can choose a bath salt to add to the water. I got a combination of lavender and eucalyptus for mine. The chair moves to different angles throughout the massage so they can get to different areas of your back, shoulders, and neck. We also had hot stones and hot towels on our legs. It was all amazing. Just something to note is that at this place you will not be unclothed and they recommend wearing either a tube top or a tank top so they can get fully to your neck and shoulders. They do have tank tops there just in case you need one. It was seriously one of the best massage experiences I have ever had somewhere and I'm very much a person who didn't think I liked massages as much as other people do. If you do decide to take a group, I would definitely plan to call them well in advance because they will book up, as they should because our whole experience was so wonderful. I selected the 60 minute shoulder and feet massage. There were 2 of us so I enjoyed having a private space. Our massage therapist had us remove our shirts and bra for the session and we had blankets to cover up. For the shoulder massage, they reclined my chair and messaged my neck, shoulders, upper back area and my arms. I was able to also add in the scalp massage which was great. Unfortunately my visit was ruined when the front desk manager informed me the tap option for credit cards was not working so she would need to insert my credit card manually. This was a decent place for massages but I have definitely been to places that are more private, quiet, relaxing and updated. The rooms do not have doors, just curtains and the walls are very thin. It was very hard for me to relax and I could barely understand the process of what they were going to do. They dont take bookings in advance. Well maybe if your one of the TWO's but still I dont know. Single you have to come and see whats open. I was told come at opening and see. Later I was told I could have just called. So ? The massage itself was ok. It was mostly just pressing. The actual space is quite small, and there is 2 spots per space, at least where I was. Two if you didnt know each other might be a bit tight. Maybe that is a reason for the TWO thing but really that has spread all over. My biggest annoying thing and this was that when they asked how things were I was honest. That day it was a day where the door in back where they go for supplies was open close open close open close lots of coming and going and lots of chatter in that back room and in the cubicles. So I mentioned that to the lady who checked me out and right away she fires back WELL THEN YOU MUST BE VERY SENSITIVE. So how do you like that??? Turn around in a split second and place their shortcoming on the customer. I waited to post this until after I was totally done going lest they fire some other smart comment back. I dont understand why a business would bother to ask you how things were if they are in a split second just going to throw it back on YOU. This makes it obvious they really dont care. Or maybe I should say one employee doesnt care! I guess I will stick with the Asian places. They have their shortcomings at times too but they would probably not blame you for them. read more

I booked a last minute service at Utopia for the full package massage. I've never heard about this spa, but I thought I would give it a try because of the amazing reviews. Let me start with the positives... 1. Prices are very reasonable 2. Foot scrub is amazinggggg. I don't know what product she used on my feet, but my feet felt this tingling sensation as I was walking out and it was fantastic. The scrub itself felt awesome - would definitely get that again in the future. 3. The rooms are very private and have nice ambience. Here is what I didn't like... 1. The first thing that annoyed me was when I walked into the spa, there was a group of women who were super loud and obnoxious. I thought maybe you could not hear sound once you go into your room, but my room was RIGHT by the door and when I tell you, the women were SO FREAKIN LOUD for a spa and none of the staff said anything! I asked my therapist if someone could ask them to pipe down and be more respectful of other guests, she said that they were leaving soon. They left maybe about 10 minutes after my service started and the whole 10 minutes I was laying there annoyed. Staff should have asked them to be quiet or go talk outside. 2. It was freeeeeezing in the room. I'm normally a hot bodied person, so when I tell you, even with the blanket I was shivering! I did mention it to the lady in the front on my way out. 3. Parking lot in the front was a little tight - I did manage to find a spot but I read in other reviews that there is also a lot in the back. 4. I wouldn't recommend the back massage. It's moreso just upper back. I didn't really know what to expect since you don't undress for it, but because mommy needed a break, I wanted all the things they offered. Next time I would probably just stick with shoulder and feet scrub/massage. I also just realized that she forgot to do my scalp massage! That's a little disappointing... I found this spot on Yelp. It is a new small business so I was happy to support. I called to schedule an appointment for two about a week in advance. We arrived about 5 minutes prior to our 11am schedule time. The owner came from the back and greeted us. We had small talk about small business ownership during this unprecedented time and then she shared with us how the business works. There are several additional items that you can add to your massage such as CBD oil and a detox black salt for your foot massage. However, there are three salt options included with the visit of your massage We were placed in the first section to the right. The decor was very relaxing with low lights, a comfortable recliner and a blanket! I was thinking ahead and wore a tank top under a long sleeve shirt. I highly suggest you do the same so that you can get the full experience of the shoulder massage. For men, if you are comfortable going shirtless that is recommended and encourage. The massage started with the salt of your choice being placed in a tub of hot water for your feet to soak in. Next, the shoulder massage with lotion commenced. The young lady doing my massage covered every area of my shoulder. It was very therapeutic. After about 30 minutes of a shoulder massage the foot massage started. This was so relaxing that I fell asleep and was drooling-- it was that good! The only part that I did not like was after the shoulder massage the staff took lotion and massaged my forehead. I am very particular about what I put on my fave and honestly don't like touching my own face. I would recommend asking if it's ok to touch a clients face prior to doing so. One additional suggestion that I have is to have a mat under the tub of water. I found my feet on a cold floor when I removed my shoes and was preparing to put them in the hot water. In addition to offering massages the shop also sales candles, CBD products and lotions. Most items are produced in GA, which is pretty cool. I purchased a candle that I look forward to trying out soon. This is a great way to spoil yourself and even a great idea for a gift. I look forward to my next visit! I had surgery two weeks ago and since then all of the tension has moved into my neck and shoulders, causing me to have severe pain in my left jaw. I normally go to a spa near my house, but I decided to try something new this time. When I got there I told the lady at the front desk about my situation and she said, "We got you!" She gave me a tank top to wear and my massage therapist rubbed only my neck and arms for the entire hour (this is what I requested). I left their feeling already SO much better. The decor is absolutely beautiful! The rooms and furniture are dark and there are candles and water fountains all around. It's much nicer than any other foot/shoulder spa that I've seen, but somehow the price was even lower. It's been 24 hours now and my jaw pain is pretty much gone. The vibe was great when I came in. Everyone was sweet. However the employee who did my massage was sick. In an industry where you put your hands on people the entire time and in their hair, and are in a room for a hour+ you cannot have sick employees touching others. This business/employees should know better and care more about others to do better. The employee was sneezing, coughing, and blowing her nose so it was in the middle of a cold. This is my second time visiting Utopia and I can say that it is a great deal. Both times I've had very solid, not the best I've ever had, but good massages. I did the month couples special at $60 for an hour and today the hour for $40 ans want to make this a regular thing. Utopia is a non-pretentious affordable massage place and you'll feel very relaxed from start to finish. I like that they do a lot with heavy blankets, towels, stones, and heat. I would have liked the salted foot bath to stay hot a little warmer and gotten a refill of the warm water but that's not a big deal and probably just part of how it works. My masseuse asked me if I wanted more or less pressure and check in with me which was nice. The chair is comfortable, music is nice, and overall ambience is pretty peaceful. I kind of wish they had a chair you could reverse sides on so as to work the lower back more. I checked the website and they had nothing available so i called in and luckily a couple had jus cancelled (talk abt perfect timing) !! On Monday's they offer a foot and shoulder massage for 2 people for $65. The waiting area is very intimate and welcoming. The wait time for our massage was only abt 5-7 minutes. The foot massage area is very dim, quiet, and sleek. I love the contemporary style, but warm atmosphere. My foot and shoulder massage was very comforting, relaxing, and cozy !! I felt very relaxed, I loved the warm neck cushion, The heavy warm blanket they placed over me, the eye covers, jus everything was perfect and what i needed to start my new year off right ! the hot stones was great as well. All the staffs customer service exceeded my expectation. I really enjoyed my time here at Utopia and can't wait to visit again. I don't think she understood me so someone else had to come by and translate. I came in yesterday for a foot massage. The therapist spent 30 minutes rubbing my legs and feet. I was excited to surprise my husband with a couples night foot and shoulder massage this past Wednesday after an intense three days of project deployment. Throughout our entire visit, Sabrina and Mari (I can't remember the name of the lady who worked on my husband, but this is my best guess) continued to gesture, laugh, and communicate about my husband and me. Part of their gestures was about the height difference between my husband and me. I was absolutely offended and far from relaxed. I usually go to sleep during a massage, yet they were so distracting that I could not relax. At the conclusion of our service, I still tipped them with an understanding this is their means of income. However, when I spoke to the person managing the desk about my concerns, she said we would notate your account.
