I went on the wine/cannabis experience and had the best time! I'm not a huge marijuana user and I had never been to a dispensary before, so this was the perfect way to learn a bit more about cannabis and also go wine tasting around Sonoma County. We started off in San Francisco and stopped at Vista Point by the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a super clear day and we got great photos by the bay and bridge. Our guide poured us mimosas and we drove off to Sonoma County. He gave us an overview of the day and a little history before each stop! We went to three wineries and an awesome dispensary. All the wineries gave us great tastings along with the history and stories of their proprieties and wines. We also got an amazing lunch halfway through the day. At the dispensary stop, Solful, we got a really informative presentation from the owner where he taught us about the different components of cannabis and the different ways of consuming it. We got a booklet with all the information that we could take home with us. Everyone there was super helpful and I left with a couple bags of chocolates! Overall, this was a day very well spent and I highly recommend it! We met fun people, got to taste great wines, and left with bottles of wine, chocolates and a ton of new information about cannabis. read more

What an awesome day touring up to the beautiful Sonoma County. Even as a local, I learned so much and discovered some awesome new places. Great views at the Golden Gate Bridge before leaving SF. Then onto Sonoma County for some great breweries and a very informative stop at Soulful (a cannabis dispensary). The breweries were very welcoming and gave us a great look into the production process of some up and coming breweries. Our group was able to taste 3 brand new beers that haven't even been released yet! I loved at Henhouse when they let us try the same beer at 3 different stages to show the different tastes at different points in the brewing process. Lunch was delicious and we made a lot of new friends on the trip. Soulful have a great presentation about the different types of cannabis, the different properties they possess, and all the different types of products they have! Definitely a must the next time you are in Northern California or even a local wanting to something awesome on the weekend. read more

I am a huge fan of the Sonoma County Experience. The day is perfectly orchestrated, and not one detail is missed - from the super sleek bus; (think limo but much better), to the hand-picked breweries, wineries dispensaries and farms. Come with an appetite - the lunch is insanely delicious, and the bus has all the amenities; music, water, snacks, and it's super comfy with swank leather seating. It truly is an experience, a cool mix of great people, incredible info and stunning places. I highly recommend this innovative and fun as all heck tour for anyone who wants a day to remember. First off...I have never written, or really even considered writing, a Yelp review before, but my experience with The Sonoma County Experience was of such I'm was inspired to do so! My girlfriends and I were looking for something new and exciting to do and we came across this tour; we're so glad we did! We were picked up in Fisherman's Wharf by a beautiful travel bus. It was truly luxurious, rather than the typical worn-down or tacky. It is quite the ideal vehicle for taking the iconic trip over the Golden Gate bridge! Plus, an added bonus, they served (actually) delicious mimosas and a pastry breakfast, as we made our way up into wine country! Our tour consisted of three different wineries & one dispensary, Solful. The wineries were set at varying price points and specialized in different varietals (all were delicious and in beautiful settings), I walked away feeling as if I really experience all the valley had to offer. I, personally, am not a cannabis aficionado (nor even a user, to be honest), BUT the tour guide was so knowledgeable, and it was fascinating to learn about the industry. He shared how the laws have and continue to evolve in California and really delved into the subject with interesting, great detail and professionalism. I learned a ton of educational info about the cannabis industry and truly had a blast doing so! So, from someone who's not into cannabis, this was not at all intimidating, but was a TON of fun! This is an awesome tour!! First off, the coach was so nice. New, comfortable, and clean. On the way to Sonoma we first stopped off at Vista Point to take pictures with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. I knew we were in for a fun day when we got back on the coach and Jared, our tour guide, was pouring us mimosas!! Yessss. On the drive up, Jared took our orders for sandwiches and picked them up while we were wine tasting. They were SO good. Not your typical boxed lunch you'd expect as part of a tour, these are delicious deli sandwiches. We went to a couple wineries and then a dispensary. At each spot we were greeted by gracious, informative hosts who were ready for our arrival. Everything went smoothly and we all had a great time. Even if you're not super into cannabis (like myself), it's still a super fun day. I would highly recommend this tour! read more

So. Much. Fun. The Sonoma County Experience introduced me to my first ever wine/cannabis experience and it was a total blast! Everything was excellent - starting from the breakfast mimosas in the bus all the way to the educational information our tour guide Jared shared with us throughout the trip (i.e. why Sonoma is such a special region in the world - you'll have to learn for yourself though!). As a Bay Area local, I was surprised to learn as much as I did about our beautiful Sonoma County. The tour started with a stop at the vista point at the end of Golden Gate Bridge, where we could take pictures of our pretty city. Instagram photos commence! After our vista point stop, we got back into the shuttle to find mimosas waiting for us. It was a perfect way to get relaxed before our first wine stop. (Bonus: The shuttle bus was really luxurious and comfortable, there were snacks on hand at all times, and the beats were jamming.) The first winery stop was Larson, which was a perfect start to the day with an outdoor tasting. The grounds were open and beautiful, and included a bocce ball court. Our host at Larson Winery was super friendly and our tastings ended with chocolate & cabernet. Our second winery stop was Robledo Winery, which had one of the best Sauvignon Blancs I've ever tasted. At the winery, Jared brought us our sandwich orders from the famous Carneros Deli, which made for a perfect break before we moved to the marijuana dispensary. So this is the part of the tour that took me by surprise. I enjoy cannabis, but I mostly only imbibe in social situations. However, our visit to Solful was very educational - mostly helping me realize how little I know about marijuana. The times I have it - some brownie tray at a house party, a friend offering me a smoke, or some vape pen at a social gathering - I realized I have no idea what I taking into my body and its effects on me. At Solful, they do an incredible job walking you through the different ways cannabis can effect you (e.g. psychoactive vs. non-psychoactive) and how cannabis can support your health (e.g. decreasing anxiety, improving sleep, etc.). Needless to say, it was a invaluable part of the tour, but I felt that I could ease into it because it was combined with something I was already very comfortable with - wine. I would say that is what truly distinguishes Sonoma County Experience from any other tour - is that it combines both the wine and cannabis experience (at a very high quality). Our last stop was Dutton Ranch. Very quaint and cute, and a lovely way to round out our trip. We left the day feeling like we were living our best lives, and enjoying all of the pleasures that California has to offer. Note: Since marijuana laws are very recent, there are still a lot of permit processes that are finalizing in the Bay Area. It sounds like in the future, the Sonoma County Experience will be 2 wineries, a cannabis dispensary, and a cannabis farm (rather than 3 wineries + dispensary). I will already be booking my next tour to check out the farm soon. Beer lovers can also book the cannabis + brewery tour, which is another one I'll also have to try with my beer loving friends. read more

I absolutely recommend checking out The Sonoma County Experience as it's the most unique wine tour company I've seen in the area. We chose the wine and cannabis package. I don't smoke, but I admit I was curious to see how these dispensaries would take something that is a little taboo and make it fun and classy. I was totally sold. Even if I don't partake, I was really enjoyed learning about the farmers, different brands and benefits of each variety. In addition to stopping by Solful in Sebastopol, we also stopped at three really cool wineries. Each tasting room had a different vibe but all three were incredibly friendly and welcoming. My personal favorite was Larson Winery. I only wish we were there later in the day so we could eat lunch in the outdoor area. The weather was perfect and I didn't want to leave. Overall, I recommend checking out The Sonoma County Experience. It highlights the best of the wine and cannabis industry and maintains that laidback feel that I love about our County. read more

I had such a wonderful time this past Saturday at The Sonoma County Wine Experience. A friend invited my boyfriend and I to enjoy this bus tour with her friends. Our guide, Jarred, was super professional and attentive! I have to say, I was first completely shocked at how nice the bus is. We really enjoyed the high quality transportation and service, along with the food, drinks and snacks that came with the tour. YUM! At first, we were hesitant because my boyfriend and I aren't weed smokers, nor do we have a passion for industry. However, my boyfriend and I ended up being super engaged at the cannabis dispensary portion of the tour as the facility was beautiful and the industry was interesting to learn about- especially now that it's legal in CA! Our friends bought us a fun treat (Cannabis infused Bath Soak) from Solful and we're really excited to try it out! Overall, this was a beautiful experience exploring different breweries and a dispensary. I would definitely recommend taking this opportunity to explore Sonoma County with a big group of friends. Been on a few brewery tour buses but nothing compares to the Sonoma County Experience tour. My eyes were opened at how fascinating and intricate the marijuana industry is and has become. Every stop on the tour was as educational and as fun as the stop before. You are greeted by Jared with a very refreshing morning beer, nothing too hoppy but just enough to wet your whistle and hold you over until the next stop. While on our way to our first stop Jared gives a brief bio of himself as well as a small bit of info about each location we will be visiting. Aside from the marijuana portion of the tour, which was probably my favorite part due to the lack of knowledge I have in that field, we visited several breweries and what I liked most about this brewery tour was that our tastings were paid for. I've been on several brew bus tours where they have you pay for the tour and pay for any and all kinds of tastings once at the brewery. Once we finished our complementary tasting we are free to purchase merchandise or a beer of our liking. Another PLUS was that lunch was bought and brought to you by Jared. He takes your order and while you enjoy your beer or wine he heads out to pick up lunch, something I've never experienced on other bus tours, GREAT customer service for that. It's safe to say this isn't your ordinary tour and that is what makes it stand out from the rest and a must do in Sonoma County. read more
