Ted and Fernando were great before the wedding too, asking if we had any special request, what they should wear, etc.

From the planning to the final product, Jefferson made our event feel like the only event in the world. He has such a special charm and talent. During the wedding, all the music was picked appropriately, and when it was time to hit the dance floor, all our pics along with our families were played in really great mixes that were flowing harmonically. He takes every single detail in mind and into heart, really creating the perfect music for the event. He also sang a few songs for us and wow, what a voice. Incredible DJ, incredible person. 1000/10 would recommend.

It turned out to be an absolute hit! He is not only incredibly talented, but so kind and professional too. He even customized his set to include my dad's Elvis favorites (and humored us when the birthday boy decided to "join in" on the performance ‍). He was flexible, punctual, accommodating of our requests, and made everything so easy. The guests were enamored (especially the guest of honor!), and everyone raved about his voice and how perfect the performance was for the occasion. I would trust him a thousand times over!

Another great and free feature to take in at Balboa Park…read more I use it as a meeting spot since it is so easy to find and there is parking very close by. Easy landmark to find and draws lots of crowds. Not as nice as the fountain in Chicago (I think that one is called the Buckingham fountain or something like that) but the Bea Evenson fountain is still a pretty cool fountain and the best one that I know of in the San Diego area. the fountain is large, always flowing, and it seems like something is always going on nearby between vendors selling things or people giving out literature or information for their cause or religions, etc. The fountain is a great spot for photography and always people taking pictures here so I was quite surprised to be approached by an idiot asking me what I was taking pictures of. Gee I don't know, how about the ground! Because why would I take pictures of the fountain when my camera is on a tripod in front of the fountain. That wouldn't make any sense now would it. I am not sure if he was drunk or on drugs but he didn't appreciate sarcasm he would not stop pestering me or hovering over my gear until I approached him and suggested that he leave. Way to ruin an otherwise fun experience.

Minor update: still the biggest regular swing get-together in San Diego. Happens on (you guess)…read moreevery first Saturday of the month at the Infinity Dance Sport Center. Logistics: Parking is easy and free (use the parking lots around the building or the street parking), light-industrial neighborhood feels very safe. $10 gets you in. Lessons start at 8PM (one for absolute beginners, on some days there is other ones are going in parallel that are a bit more advanced, usually advanced beginner skills are sufficient) and are followed by the general dancing that keeps going from 9PM to well past midnight (official cutoff is 12:30AM, but there are very few swing dancers left post-midnight, so you have the entire floor to yourself, but finding a partner gets harder). The ventilation for such a huge crowd is inadequate, so dress for a truly warm atmosphere. Water is available, light snacks are also free. The dance floor quality is excellent, perhaps the best in San Diego. Music: Dance typically goes to the DJ music, well balanced in styles and tempos. There are also very rare live music events. Crowd: Expect at least 100 dancers overall, many more on popular nights, ranging from absolute beginners to very advanced. As is typical for San Diego venues, there are usually slightly more follows than leads, ratio gets better as the evening progresses.

They had water available and some snacks and soda for all of the dancers, and admission was only $7!! My man and I went to the beginners' class, and were really lost- the only reason I took one star away from the rating. Luckily a few of the more experienced dancers offered to help! They have you change partners over and over during the class so you can learn to dance with other people. They definitely encourage socializing! Once the floor opened up for general dancing after the class, it got a little hot in there, so make sure you dress for hot temperatures. It was great fun watching everyone cut a rug!
