I use to be a regular customer of the chain. Having purchased various items over the years ( laptop, surround sound home theatre system, 32" LCD tv , wireless routers, printer ink, outdoor wireless speakers, etc) I would consider myself a good customer.
I had no issue with the Source until my most recent experience. Having purchased & returned an Asus Transformer Tablet bundled with the keyboard dock. I returned the tablet with no problems within the required time, and due to concerns I had over quality ( light bleed on screen edges). No hassle getting a refund. And I thought that was that.
Wrong. Six months later I receive a phone call from a man whom had just purchased a supposedly new transformer bundle. I had completed the warranty card prior to returning it and this was never removed when it was "refurbished"!
I contacted the source online & that's where the fun began. Customer service had no answers, having to contact the store manager. Said manager was more concerned having been charged $65 for the reset / refurb.
I was reassured any potential personal info would have been wiped from the storage in the tablet. But when a warranty card is overlooked, and one learns the company resells open box , returned product without disclosing this, it is hard to take comfort or feel assured.
The Source has lost a longtime regular customer. Even the regional manager Mr. Allan Smith will not address this issue, having now ignored two emails.
