I told him I'd cancelled it, but he persuaded me to keep the appointment because it might just be a problem with the LED panel. He arrived. Nice person, professional. Took apart the tv quickly and skillfully and informed me it was, in fact, the LED panel. He then looked up availability of parts and said he couldn't get a replacement and they don't recommend used ones! Makes absolutely no sense, right? So I had to cough up $130 for him to show up and tell me that it was indeed the problem he thought it was but there was nothing he could do. As he left he said "at least now you do".
