The Spa at Condado Vanderbilt is easily one of my favorite spas. It was easy to book my treatment via email. The front desk staff was so friendly and welcoming, even joking with my partner when he dropped me off. The reception area is lovely, with seating and a small boutique. The assistant led me through the changing area, restrooms, sauna, steam room, and relaxation room. The lockers were easy to use. I enjoyed my time using the sauna and steam room. The relaxation suite was lovely, with delicious juices and snacks. I just wish there was hydrotherapy available before the spa service (there is not a whirlpool or cold plunge). I opted for the hammam, which is an elite treatment. I'd been wanting to do this treatment, at this spa, for a few years and it was fantastic. My therapist was absolutely amazing and I felt so comfortable with her. The hammam treatment happens in a stunningly tiled room. The history of hammam is explained, which I loved. My therapist explained the treatment protocol and that put me at ease. Once the treatment started, I never wanted it to end. It was so interesting and very relaxing. I left with softest skin imaginable. The Spa at Condado Vanderbilt is wonderful. This was an early anniversary trip and they gave us a lovely surprise, even though my partner opted not to partake in a spa service (now a regret of his). The spa was so calm and relaxing and they have the best staff. I loved every second of my experience here, and not only am I planning to go return, we are planning to stay at the Vanderbilt (which we should have done this trip). read more

This seriously was one of the best spas I've ever visited. From the moment I entered until I walked out, I was welcomed warmly into a space of relaxation and serenity. The spa smelled amazing and all of the amenities were great. The spa assistant that showed me around was the absolute sweetest and even gave me a little photoshoot (unrequested) when I first arrived which made me feel like I met an insta-friend. The massage room was so beautiful and the actual massage was one of the best I've ever had. It was seriously the perfect way to kick off my birthday. Additionally, the hotel as a property is absolutely gorgeous. I was torn between booking here and went with a different choice instead. Pricey but I enjoyed my experience! I'm not a huge spa-goer, but imho the service was great and the facilities were beautiful. I emailed the spa initially to understand what services were available and the pricing for each and received a response in a day. I then called to make my reservation, although I had to give them my card number over the phone to secure my spot. I showed up early to make use of the steam room and shower. There was an attendant that accompanied me throughout my pre-massage experience. She made sure that guests did not overlap and that the steam room and shower was clean and ready for each one. There weren't a lot of guests, but she was doing a fantastic job of maintaining their COVID protocols while ensuring guest experiences were smooth and maximized. I ended up choosing the signature massage and my masseuse was fantastic at incorporating my requests for more pressure or to spend longer in an area. She also didn't mind my questions about anatomy or SJ weather. I would come back again! read more

My partner and I scheduled the facial, the full body massage and Manicure/Pedicure. I'm going to be honest, every experience at the Spa was incredible; however, the facial was truly transformative. Not to mention, extremely relaxing. I've had a lot of facials in my life, but the C-Vitality Supreme knocked 10 years off (I'm 43yrs old). As we speak, I'm back home, trying to find the products I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT while I was there. The Vibe: took me from, "Omg, I can't sit still" to "I don't want to move" in like 5 minutes. Exceptional experience! The very lovely, Miss Rosa, was my attendant who helped orientate me to the many features in the locker room including the oversized spa showers and the sauna. It's a beautiful part of the spa. She never made me feel rushed as I enjoyed each of these items before meeting my husband in the "silence room" where we sipped champagne and nibbled on a small snack. Elana was my massage therapist. The session started with deep breathes and the gentle sounds of a gong - truly lovely. Then she got to work. This woman is amazing! I highly recommend her if you're looking for a deep, therapeutic massage. I left feeling amazing. I cannot say enough about the staff and facility of this lovely spa. Yes, it's expensive, but if you allow yourself to sink into the entire experience from start to finish, it's totally worth it. PS: We were both the only ones in the locker room. Yes it is nice and beautiful, the massage was great- best massage ever and the customer service was really good but I expected more services. Worth the splurge. My GF and I do one fancy spa day every time we take a trip together, and were both incredibly happy with our experience at the Vanderbuilt. Get there early to take advantage of their amazing facilities and complimentary champagne. You will definitely want to spend some time relaxing in the gorgeous tile steam-room, marble sauna, and showers with an excessive amount of massaging heads. Heaven. The spa facilities were immaculately clean, as they should be, and my attendant, Juan, was most attentive. I very much enjoyed both the dry and wet saunas as well as the marvelous private showers. The Stillness Room was a delight- serene, comfortable, and complete with a curated selection of tea, infused waters, and mini little snacklettes of nuts and chocolates. I would have given a five star rating based on the environment alone, but the treatment I received (the Gentleman's Pedicure), although nice, was mediocre. The nail technician was polite/professional and quite pretty; however, the pedicure itself was lacking in substance. Extremely brief "massage", hardly noticeable pumice/scrub. A beautiful spa - the women's facilities are calming and warm. One feature is the aromatherapy steam room with a unique twinkle-star ceiling. Once you're ready for your service you can prepare in the resting room with beverages, snacks and magazines. I recommend Maritza for a massage. When my girlfriends and I visited San Juan and were researching spas, we thought it was strange how little there was to find. Let me help. Go here! Try the bamboo massage; it's very much like a hot stone massage, only better IMO. As far as atmosphere goes, it has all the accoutrements of a luxurious spa experience. Nothing I haven't seen before but everything I would expect. And all done well. My only complaint was the loud (and totally incongruent to the rest of our experience) changing of wastebasket liners in the stillness lounge. Kinda killed the vibe. read more

Where do I begin...Rosa, the attendant, took such great care of us showing us around and ensuring we took advantage of all of the amenities. She led us to the Still room to relax in a cozy area with treats including my new favorite Sour Sop juice, almonds, cranberries and dark chocolate. I swear I love this place! Glenda was my massage therapist for 50 minutes. I asked for deep tissue and boy was it deep! It was deep in a good way, she worked my erectors as requested since that's a source of pain for me! That 50 mins seemed like 20 minutes and I was sad to see it end. Afterwards I enjoyed the steam room, first time ever, and I felt like a new woman. It was perfect for my hair, skin and continued to loosened up my muscles. The staff encouraged me to come back throughout the day to use the facilities before closing. I did just that after so time at the pool and amazing it was! The facility is top notch, the service is A1. Thank you for adding to my relaxing trip! read more

Such an excellent experience. The massage was great. They really listen to what you want and deliver just that. Before your massage you can hang out in the separate locker rooms where they have showers with 7 different jets. The steam room had essence of jasmine in it and little star like lights on the ceiling which was perfect for zoning out and relaxing. The dry was small but has little platforms to rest your head on. The amenities were great: mouthwash, hairspray, lotion, conditioner. In the co-ed stillness lounge where you wait for your massage, they have nuts, juice, and tea to snack on after your wonderful massage. read more

My husband and I had booked the 80 min Vanderbilt signature massage the other day, to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. My husband and I both had treatments a few months ago and from the reception to the assistants to the masseuses it could not have been better. This time was completely different when we arrived we were barely acknowledged, then my attendant (female ) showed me to the dressing room and asked if I've been to the Vanderbilt before, I said yes, and this was the only time I saw her. My husband was told to go through that door. Once in the spa I never was checked on again or saw the attendant. My 80 min signature Vanderbilt massage was extremely disappointing. I'm very picky In regards to my massage so always make sure I communicate what I'm looking for. I specifically wrote down and explained to work and focus on my whole back and wanted her to work with her hands on this area. She went down my spine one time during the whole time. Just so disappointed and the amount of oil used was ridiculous, at times it was dripping off of me. The massage felt that I was just being touched instead of the strong level of pressure I specifically noted and asked for. To sum up our time upon leaving my husband wanted to discuss the level of service from the time before to this time. He started to speak to the woman upon checking out and her response was "I'm sorry to hear that". Again if this is the level of customer service you are providing at the Vanderbilt it is a sad day. I hope this review will bring attention to the disappointments we experienced and moving forward some changes can be made On a final note the massage also lasted less than 80 min as we were picked up late from the still room and the massage ended promptly at the original ending time read more

i was given a treat ,during a stay recently in late July, to be a guest of a friend at the Hotel Vanderbilt Spa in Condado. I have used countless gyms, hotels, sport clubs etc, throughout the world,for mainly massag e treatments, and i really needed one that day. The spa is beautiful, complete with turkish bath, and all the accoutrements and frienldy staff, very clean, very professional. However, mention must be given to my massage therapist 'Lourdes", she "hands down" (no pun intended) is the finest masseuse i've ever encountered! I am a spa veteran and extremely picky, but when i tell you she is the best ever i kid not. She was very knowledgeable, an intuitive to what i needed, a total pro..I was reborn! The whole staff is great and I "five star" recommend it if you are serious about treatment as I am. I have a new favorite spa in Puerto Rico now, and Lourdes is the gem of that staff for sure. Wow. Excellent technique in very luxurious facilities. You'll definitely pay a premium, but it's so worth it. Got a 50 minute signature massage, but that provides access to the steam shower and sauna so used both of those to relax before the massage. All in all was there for close to 90 minutes. read more
