Unfortunately, our experience at Nouvelle D'Sp Boutique in the Mall of San Juan was very disappointing, especially considering the price and the expectations we had. For Christmas, I bought my wife a facial package that included several services for $275, including a glass of champagne. The intention was for her to have a relaxing, special, and truly pampering experience. That's not what happened. From the beginning, the orientation was practically nonexistent. They didn't properly explain the process or what she was supposed to do. They simply told her to go into the sauna, without any further instruction. Upon entering, she realized that the saunas weren't separated for men and women. While she was in her swimsuit, a man entered wearing only a towel. This made her feel extremely uncomfortable. The man even started talking to her, when all she wanted was to relax and meditate. Because of the discomfort, she decided to leave the sauna before 10 minutes had passed. Then she went to the showers, where she again encountered a complete lack of privacy: open and uncontrolled doors, making it possible for anyone to see her while she showered. She couldn't relax or feel safe. She had to shower in her swimsuit for safety. The facial itself was performed, but the entire experience was already compromised. At the end, upon seeing the alcoholic beverages, she asked if they were included and was told they were. However, she was never offered the glass of champagne that was specifically included in the package and was one of the reasons she purchased this combo. Overall, the service was cold and disorganized. No one guided her, no one attended to her with care or made her feel pampered. It was as if she had to figure things out on her own, instead of receiving personalized attention. For almost $300, the experience was completely unsatisfactory. It did not live up to its promises or the level of quality and privacy expected of a place like this. I would not recommend it. read more

I had been wanting a facial for a VERY long time. Being a grad student gets very difficult and draining. I was gifted a facial! Although school got in the way, I finally managed to enjoy my gift today! The entire place smells really good, very relaxing dim lighting throughout and soothing music. My facial was done by Paula. She was super nice and easy to talk to. You are assigned a lounge bed before the facial begins and you return after for a drink of your choice (wine, water, champagne and whiskey etc) and snack (hummus or wrap). The facial took about 1.5hrs. You are offered heated hand mittens (do it!) I felt brand new after the whole experience and would do it all over again. Oh and the place was very clean. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Go to the one in Dorado. I went to this one on a whim - for a facial. I asked for a facial and when I got in the room - she said I needed microdermabrasion- I was fine with the add-on. I should've specifically asked what the price change was going to be- it was $535. At the same spa in Dorado- you can get almost THE SAME facial with microdermabrasion for around $200 that's as good or better service. There wasn't an arm massage and foot massage like the one in Dorado. So OVERPRICED. I was shocked and dismayed when checking out. I've been to a ton of nice, upscale spas and never paid $535 for a freaking facial. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE. Go to the same spa in Dorado- better prices and they will tell you how much an add-on costs when they upgrade your facial in-room. They did give me a whole 10% discount to rectify the situation. My Birthday gift from my husband and daughters was ruined for the worst experience I have in my life, they give me the complete package everything in one day: sauna,pool,massage,facial,mani and pedi....they made many mistakes the worst they forget about me for 45 minutes in the waiting room, when I ask when is my next section the can find my appointment and have no more available time for finish my day... After a wonderful first time at this place, the second time just completely shattered my opinion of them. I am going to state that the place is very nice, brand spanking new and the massage therapist (Andrea I think her name is) is amazing. My first appointment there went super smoothly and i loved the massage. Andrea recommended I have another massage soon due to pretty bad cervical muscle spasms. Since it had been so awesome the first time, I decided to make an appointment the following week (for today). That's when things went south. This place is completely disorganized when it comes to making appointments. I made an appointment, in person, for a deep tissue massage and when I got here today I was told that I had been scheduled for a facial. I don't know how this is possible considering they called me the day before to confirm an appointment for a massage. Anyways, after waiting for an hour I was finally told that they had a "delay" which I called bullshit on. Pardon my french. The blonde lady up front apparently just skipped over me and kept passing other patrons who had their appointments after me. Complete chaos. I will state that they did "compensate" me for my time with a certificate for a free massage but still, I woke up early to get here after being up studying til 3am. And really the whole experience doesn't make me want to come here for relaxation. Oh and they didn't give me a free deep tissue massage (what my appointment was for), they gave me a free hot stones massage which is cheaper as per their website. The massages are awesome but the whole disorganization and general snotty-ness really takes away from the Zen atmosphere. I do not recommend the Nouvelle d'Spa in Mall of San Juan. read more

I am extremely disappointed by the lack of attention and organization of this place. It's a small establishment that is trying to look more polished than it is. First off they only separate an appointment for you with a credit card number (like hotels do). I expected, given this type of treatment, that you would get there and be greeted as well as taken care of immediately. This was not the case. After "checking-in" and waiting for half hour, none of the women at the front desk knew about my appointment. Even though they could see me sitting right in front of them. The point is, if you know the people you will be treated fantastic. If you don't you'll just be another person waiting and being dismissed repeatedly. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

I went in for a Pedicure that cost $60 + tax. Normally a pedicure is like $30 anywhere else but I wanted this one because on the website it said it included a foot scrub and massage, etc. On the website it said it lasted for 55 mins. So my appointment was at 10am. They didn't even open their doors until 10:05am and then they made me wait until 10:15am to call me in. So the girl basically rushed everything and had already finished at 10:45am. So it was definitely not even worth $30. So like an idiot I decided to add a Reflexology for my feet since I was wanting a foot treatment. That was $78 and wasn't even reflexology. It was basically a foot rub. To me this place is not worth the money or the time. It is a bullshit scheme to get your money and make you believe you're going to get premium service. Their service sucks. read more

I was so pleased with my entire experience here! Before the massage, I spent twenty minutes in the steam room. They gave me rubber flip flops and a little towel/robe to wear. After that, you can shower if you want to before the massage, but I used a rag and dried off. I was then escorted to a little room where you can drink water, tea, and eat some healthy snacks before your massage. My masseuse then had me follow her to the room, which was perfectly lit for relaxation and the temperature was ideal. Her name was Lyanne and she was fantastic. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the massage and she was amazing at her job. I had an hour long, deep tissue massage and I was so sad when it was over. It was one of my favorite massages I've ever had! After it was over, I took a shower and they supplied towels, shampoo and conditioner, soap, face wash, gel, Q tips, etc. The only thing I'd recommend to bring is deodorant for afterwards! If you're in need of a spa day or a quick splurge, I'd highly suggest you book it here! read more

I came to the mall of San Juan to shop but I passed by this cute spa and I got to get a head neck and shoulder massage because I could not even turn my neck to the left all the way I saw a girl named Kayla she was amazing she has a magic hands I totally recommend this place and I have a massage therapist for six years back home so I'm very knowledgeable about massages and Kayla is very very good I totally recommend her read more

Disappointed. I thought of a nice gift for my mothers birthday and a spa package came to mind. I've heard of this place before and seemed like a nice option since they offered the booking service online. I booked the service and after it was submitted I didn't receive any type of confirmation at all. The next day I then had to call the spa and they told me they would send a confirmation email "as soon as they could?" Still I let it slide and the next day still no email and the worst part is that they had already charged it to my credit card!!! I called yet again trying to get some type of answer and the receptionist tells me that she was "alone in the store and had to wait till someone else got there to send it?" I was already concerned because the money was already on the other side and I didn't even get a receipt yet I told her no problem and that I would be waiting for the email. Fast forward four hours later, still no email or any type of courtesy call that they were going to do anything about my situation. Reluctantly I called one last time and asked to please be issued a refund since apparently sending a confirmation email was not in their priorities. All I got from the receptionist was "please hold because I have clients in front of me that I'm attending to." I know my purchase may not have been that much but I think I'm entitled to the same service as the other people who spend money in the store. I patiently waited and got to speak to another woman who didn't give me her name and just instructed me to check my email to see if I had received the confirmation. It got there indeed after all this stress. But still that was not what I wanted, after all that work just to get something nice for my mom I just wanted a refund and to take my business elsewhere so I asked politely to to get a refund to which the employee responded "we don't do refunds." She didn't even bother to apologize for the awful experience I've been having. I couldn't take the stress anymore so I hung up mid conversation. Now I have to send the certificate to my mother and hope they don't treat her with such indifference as I was treated. I would have been fine with an apology or a courtesy call. Because of little things like customer service you loose good clients.
