Very nice inside! They play mellow music. When you check in they take you to the waiting area. They offer you water or champagne and fig bars! The wait was not long at all. I was then taken to my room and was given a heated neck pillow. I just got a regular pedicure. Mind you I went snowboarding the next day and all my polish was still intact. The staff were super friendly and just gave off good vibes! I would come again! I'm smiling way too hard in the pic Bcs as she was taking off the calluses and I'm very ticklish!!

Let me be very clear......my massage was trash, we get couples /individual massage often be it locally or during vacation. I can also give a professional massage. This location was on the resort and conveniently place to my stay. The spa was neat and clean. Were the first people there, front desk greeted us by name. *mask are optional with the staff* No long wait.... Let's get into these massages.......... Amber: She gave exceptional service, introduced herself and presented herself in a positive vibe. Babe enjoyed his massage with her, he gave a hands down. The pressure was great for him. He was totally relaxed. After and during..... Matthew: this guy has was not into it. Zero introduction , zero personality. The massage felt like a oily rub down that you would do on yourself after a shower. Zero pressure, (I had the signature full body massage as a birthday gift) felt like he didn't want to touch me. Didn't massage my hands, the foot, thighs, neck, he did do pressure points but no pressure so to explain he just touched area of the pressure point and held his hand there. At one point he used the heel of his palm to touch and hold. His fingers and rest of his hand went limp. I feel no difference from when I walked in and when I left. At checkout they said we are giving 15% off as they are trying to boost clientele during the season. A complete waste of Babe money and my time. Annoyed and ready to book somewhere else.*

Gel manicure took over an hour and it was see through if that says anything. I paid 65 bucks for gel remover and gel manicure.

Didn't expect, or ask for, a political, social and economic commentary with my acceptable pedicure…read morebut I got one anyway. I thought Virginians were supposed to be polite and genteel? Seems to be a lot of this going around there. Maybe keep that kind of stuff to yourself

I want to start off by saying this is a beautiful spa and everyone I interacted with was so sweet…read moreand friendly. I went In for a Brazilian wax had high expectations based on the atmosphere and staff. About 1/3 of the way through my wax I noticed that the aesthetician had dipped the same stick just used on me back into that wax pot. I then realized there were no used sticks in a trash can that I could see, which led me to believe that she had been using the same stick the entire time. I then asked, upfront, if she had been using the same stick throughout the wax. To my dismay, she said she had been using the same stick and that I was definitely not the only client she had waxed with this pot of wax. While the technique was really good and I could tell that she was paying close attention to detail, I couldn't allow her to continue to wax my inner labia. I have never in my life had an aesthetician double dip or think it's an "okay practice". It's an unsafe and unhygienic practice; The wax does not get hot enough to kill bacteria. As clients, we trust aestheticians to provide their services in a safe and hygienic manner, which is why I was so shocked by how casually this aesthetician confirmed the practice. It is up to each person to decide what they are comfortable with, but for the aforementioned reason, I cannot recommend this establishment.

Soothing Herbals is fantastic. My family discovered them at the local farmers market. I've moved…read moreaway since then, so they're no longer local, but I've started ordering from their website because I can't find anything like it. My must-have products are the Floral Face Wash (a little bit goes a long way) and Soothing Rose cream, which smells delicious and natural.

I have two things to rave about Soothing Herbals! The first is the high quality of the products,…read moreand the second is the customer service. I bought the eye restore serum, and requested a custom deodorant. It could be my imagination...but I swear the eye serum started working after the second time I put it on. The reason I tried it is because we all know the disappointment of buying store-bought stuff that doesn't work. With all the "chemistry", scientists, and fancy fragrances you'd think they'd be able to make the stuff do SOMETHING! (Besides burn a hole in your wallet.) Chin has used organic herbs she's grown herself to make a serum that smells great, and really hydrates. It's lightweight and safe to apply to the whole eye area. I'm a mom to two small kids, and I don't get much sleep. I love coffee, I don't drink as much water as I should, and from "time to time" I get stressed out. All of those things take a toll of the eye area. And everyone tells me I still look young, but I have noticed my eyes getting fine wrinkles. So I bought the serum. And I think I look younger already. In a "I-get-lots-of-sleep-and-have-dewy-firm-eye-skin" kind of way. It's cool. In a weird way it makes me want to consider switching to green tea and spending more time praying while doing stretches in the early AM. Incredible, right?! Also, the bottle will probably last me 2-3 years (applying twice daily) because such a little bit is needed at a time. Moving onto my favorite product: the custom deodorant. I came across this recipe online (at Crunchy Betty.com) and asked Chin if she could make it. I love DIY stuff as much as the next domestic goddess, but some things I want to leave to the professionals. Chin was more than willing! She whipped it up in about a week, and I am here to tell you it is amazing. It is the best smelling deodorant I have ever smelled! Chin suggested some essential oils that would compliment the ones in my solid perfume and the result is that I smell great everywhere. If there is a happier, sexier smelling/feeling woman in this part of Virginia, you'd be hard-pressed to find her. I cannot wait to come back for other custom requests (face cleansing oil) and soap bars!!
