Enjoyed this spa day! Our husbands golfed at Sunriver so this worked out perfectly! Had a pedicure first which my friend and I could do together. But then we both had a facial, which I loved, thank you Lydia. But they didn't have another person to do our facials at the same time so we each had separate relax time. It all turned out ok but would have been nice to time it all the same. But we enjoyed it very much! I would go back for more! read more

The massage was actually wonderful but this spa still just does either 50 min or 80 min massages. Very outdated. And the prices are extremely high. The spa itself is a little dated, it's ready for some touch ups. Most spas do 60 or 90 minutes and for much less. Almost $300 for a 80 minute massage is absolutely ridiculous. We came for a locals package and were not told about the price difference if we wanted to do 80 minutes (50 minutes is not even a massage). The entire resort is ready for a bit of an update. I get amazing massages quite frequently near by for 1/2 the price for 90 minutes. Hope they change things up! read more

I've been here multiple times and usually great experience. However, today I had a male for deep tissue. Hard to relax because he breathed so heavy the entire time. Couldn't even hear the background music. It was a 50 min but ended up being 45 by time he started and finished. Didn't massage my hands or my feet. Didn't give me an option of scent for oil. Spent 1 min on my legs when facing up. Only did my arms while facing up and less than 3 min total for both. disappointed. A lot of money to have a poor experience like that. read more

Update-- Only after posting this negative review did Sunriver Resort finally resolve the issue. While they eventually refunded us appropriately (nothing extraordinary-- they did not go above and beyond by any means in their customer service), I still stand by my initial review that Sunriver Sage Springs has the WORST customer service. And I still standby my recommendation to NOT purchase gift cards online from Sunriver Resort and Spa. Original Review: I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer service at The Sunriver Resort's Sage Springs Spa. I have never experienced such terrible customer service with any business, let alone a resort and spa. To make a very long (multi-months-long) story short, I purchased a gift card for The Sunriver Resort online and paid $10 extra to have the gift card mailed directly to the recipient. However, when the gift-recipient went to use the gift card at Sage Springs Spa, it had no funds attached to the card (despite having e-mail confirmations and a bank statement showing that I paid for the gift card). What was supposed to be a nice gift and time of relaxation ended with the gift-recipient having to pay for the spa services out of her own pocket. Then ensued a multiple-months-long battle with Sage Springs Spa, and specifically Sage Springs Spa Operations Director, Michelle LaCroix, to try to remedy the situation. I am disappointed to report that Sage Springs Spa's response was inefficient and inadequate. After months and months of calling to resolve the issue, (I had to call 30+ times over 3 months), the only thing they did for me was add the funds that I had already purchased to the gift card. This was the least thing they do, since up to this point, they had effectively withdrawn money from my bank account but had not allocated those funds to a gift card, as directed (i.e. THIS IS THEFT). After they had effectively stolen from me, plus the inconvenience of the gift-recipient having to pay out-of-pocket, plus the hassle of having to follow-up for 3 months!!!, I requested two things to make it right: first, that they activate the funds to the gift card (the least, legal thing they are obligated to do), and second, that they refund the charges that the gift-recipient had to pay out-of-pocket the day-of the service (essentially comping the service). What I was asking was nothing extraordinary. The dollar-amount was negligible. As a business, they should have this type of customer service compensation in their budget. But they were unwilling to make it right or appease a customer. They were unwilling to do anything above the absolute bare minimum to try to remedy the situation or compensate me or the gift-recipient for the absolute headache it was to deal with them. This could have been resolved in one phone call, in one day! But instead it was dragged out over months, eventually ending in the Sage Springs Spa Operations Director, Michelle LaCroix, ghosting me and not responding to my calls for weeks and weeks. Honestly, all this effort was not worth my time or their time. But it's the principle of the thing. They made a huge error by not loading funds to the gift card (again, THEFT). Then, they were inefficient at remedying the issue (3+ months, with me initiating over 30 phone calls!), and their solution was the bare minimum with no regard for my experience as a customer. Long story short, DO NOT BUY ONLINE GIFT CERTIFICATES FROM SUNRIVER RESORT & SPA. And do not expect them to care about you as a customer, to do anything above the bare minimum to make things right, or to be efficient or effective at their customer service. I'm extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. I would never expect this kind of customer service experience from a resort like Sunriver Resort and Spa. read more

Went for a manicure and pedicure. Wasn't told ahead of time that I would have access to the steam room/hot tub with my service and the person who took me to the locker room didnt tell me. Had a great service but at check out, with my gift card, it was a huge nightmare. someone else had charged services to my card...no one I know but someone that the front desk very well knew. Yet they asked me to ask my husband if he possibly knew anyone who might have used my card. 30 minutes later, while my ride waited in the parking lot, I finally got to leave. Ruiined my whole experience. At 68 , this was my second ever spa experience, and as such was looking forward to this great birthday present...totally ruined by the front desk. The worst spa experience I have ever had. When our party arrived to the spa, we waited close to 15 minutes for the man behind the desk to get off the phone and check us in. He then explained I would be the only one getting a robe, as they were short (it was 8 am). My two friends were scheduled for facials, which apparently disqualifies you for a robe. The worst part of my experience was hands down the massage. The unkept sweaty man was horrible and clearly ill. His strained Darth Vader like breathing will haunt me. At one point he either drooled or sweat on the back of my head. I honestly feel a bit violated and wish I had never stepped foot in this spa! While we have had good experiences in the past at this spa, current circumstances are very sub par and unprofessional. We requested female masseuses and one of our requests was fulfilled...not so much the other...I had a gentlemen. I spoke with another lady later in the changing area who got a couples massage and they also had requested a female for her husband but that request was also not honored. Awkward...If they can't fulfill such requests, they should say so when one makes the reservation. The actual massage was fine but we had multiple strange experiences with the staff. We had several mimosas and at the end, the staff asked us how many we had...as if we were supposed to keep track? Way overpriced for the quality of services. Won't be back. read more

Made a brow appointment a week ago. Arrived today after navigating the road construction and detours to be told I have no appointment. It appears that if they don't have enough business to support a brow wax, they cancel the appointment. It would have been nice to have a message saying so. We loved our experience at this spa. Friendly, helpful, profession staff. Beautiful facility. We had massages one day and enjoyed hot tub, sauna and pool while there. I had a facial the next day and it was equally as good. There was a mistake on my gift card from another vendor and the staff at Sage took time to help me sort it out. This review is for the tennis program only - we tried several times to get a private tennis lesson and each time, the instructor either didn't show up to the lesson or cancelled at the last minute. What kind of operation is this place running?!? If I could rate this zero stars, I would. Not worth the effort to call for the lesson time and wake up early to get to the court. SPA SERVICE: Pedicure (plus amenities) PROS: Get there early or stay late to enjoy the hot tub and the steam room. You can get some bang for your buck by getting the least expensive service ( like a manicure ) and you then have access to all the amenities. I understand there is a $20+ entry fee if no spa services purchased. ( Not free at this time as mentioned in a previous review ) You can also play tennis, swim laps and use the fitness room. They provide lockers, robes , towels, nice showers and the like . The locker room attendant mentioned you can even leave and come back if within the same day. ( she was hoot and sweetheart, tip her ) CONS: I thought this would be the best pedi of my life! $80 worth! Not even close END RESULT: The "free" amenities we took advantage of were better than the spa service itself. KICKER: My friend had the exact same experience right behind me with the same lady... as her appointment was after mine. Our notes on the pedi were exact. UPDATE: I called the spa a few days later, as I looked back at the website description and found key services were not performed...to their credit, they refunded us in full. read more

This place is top notch! The spa is an elegant place with tons of things to do. The facilities are free to Sunriver guests. I toured the gym--which was large and impressive, but didn't use it. There were an indoor tennis courts as well. The lap pool was wonderful. You have to make a reservation, but it's not that crowded. I enjoyed my swim very much. The women's locker room was very beautiful. The lockers are digitally locking, there's beautiful showers and a steam room. The jacuzzi was decorated like it was outside in the desert at night, complete with boulder rocks, a sunset, and twinkling stars. It was very relaxing! I did not use the spa for the manicure/pedicures because their spa services were really expensive. read more

Relaxing. Great service. Fabulous facial. Wish I was there now! Visiting Sunriver, I had to check out the spa. Checked in for a pilates class at the fitness center, which was great. Perfect to workout right before a relaxing visit to the spa. The spa robes are big and comfortable and wearing them waiting in the relaxation room was so nice. I had the Pure Radiance Facial and I enjoyed every minute. The esthetician was very thorough and knowledgeable. She introduced me to a product line made locally and I left the treatment room looking radiant. Five days later, my skin still looks good. My sister-in-law had the deep tissue massage and she was very pleased with her treatment too. A must-visit is the spa/whirlpool in the locker room area. Twinkling lights on the ceiling and piped-in bird calls make it a memorable experience. We both left there feeling relaxed and ready for an afternoon by the pool. read more

Beautiful resort spa, with great services and the most amazing locker room I've ever seen. I had a great facial here, but the real treat is the hot tub in the women's locker room. The room the hot tub is in goes from a dusky light to night time over the period about a 30 hour, with the ceiling changing from a pink sunset to stars. It's like hottubbing in a planetarium. Love the ladies jacuzzi spa with mist droplets and twinkling "stars", the little bathrobes and slippers, the quiet relaxation waiting area, and the pedicures in the massaging chairs in this little quiet room, oh my. I wish I could go back there right now! And if you use any of the spa services, you have the run of the place for the whole day. Well this is a very mixed review. Overall because of issues. I will not return. We had a family vacation and all the girls wanted spa day. So I contacted Brittany and we worked together to get these scheduled. She was very helpful when the anticipation of 14 clients and a couple thousand dollars were running through the spa from this event. She said all of us would receive 10% off our services as a group. Which was awesome. On SPA DAY... My facial was cut short by about 15 minutes because the aesthetician was running late... Stated she was running late but when she apologized she never said MY service was being cut short yet it was. In addition to that because 2 members of our group chose a package of massage and facial pat checkout we were told we didn't qualify for the discount... Hmmmm the services were already booked when I was told about the discount. Now a sudden change. When I sent email to them (Brittany) she NEVER responded. So sad and disappointed as this wasn't an inexpensive endeavor .. To be cheated twice by them and ignored is very upsetting. read more

Disappointed is an understatement when it comes to my experience with this spa. My wife and I made reservations 4 months in advance for a couples treatment. Upon arrival one of the front desk workers made a comment of "im getting out of here for this" and left one girl at the front to deliver the bad news. We showed up the day of the scheduled massage 30 minutes early as the website calls for, we were told their masseuse called out sick. Someone calling in sick is 100% normal and fine. The sad part was there was nothing offered to us. They told us they "guess" they could call us if one of their back up workers covers the shift today but in the mean time we can't get any massages. This means we can hangout all day waiting for a call that probably won't even happen. This is frustrating for a couple who works 45+ hrs a week with no extra time. We made these reservations in advance for a reason and to be cancelled the DAY of was unbelievable. There was no process or procedure to prepare for this which is shocking for such a highly rated resort. After calling and talking with a manager we were told that they were happy we are willing to talk to them and not write a Yelp review.. and the best part was for all of our inconvenience they offered us AN appetizer at their resort restaurant. In the future I would much rather pay for a massage locally, and stay at a motel 6 where they might take customer disappointment more serious. read more

Great spa! I try to make this place a regular stop on my trips to Sunriver. The spa is beautiful, the facilities are elegant, with lots of additional amenities, so go early before your appointment. Take advantage of the spa in the women's locker room, the sauna, and their showers are great too for after your treatment. Both times I have been I had the river rock massage, I asked them to put aroma therapy in the oils as well, and they did. Both times by the end of the massage I was so relaxed I was slurring my speech, a sure sign of a fabulous rub down. The waiting room has wonderful teas, and treats. I was a member of Sage Springs and I loved every minute I went there! The entire place is a 5 ***** relaxing experience! I truly miss the exercise room, pool (salt water mind you) and lovely women's dressing and shower area! I used the spa service a couple times for massage and the service was divine. I am a Sunriver Home Owner and my dues at the SHARC are very cheap so I discontinued my membership with Sage Springs, But recommend it to the highest to anyone wanting a lovely relaxing elegant experience. read more

Utter waste of money. Perhaps, I am used to nail salons in the Portland area, because I could have done my nails at home better than my shellac mani/pedi. So, I got the express mani/pedi because I didn't want to be away from my family for too long. So, I paid a higher price than normal than even some of the most posh Portland salons. I get my nails done regularly, so I know a good manicure. I will say that my nail tech was charming and polite. That was a us. So, I enter expecting someone to give me a tour of the amenities but I get none. I am rushed into the "relaxation room," and quickly the tech mutters to relax and shuts the door. I wasn't even shown where the restrooms are... Is this because of the mani/pedi express? I don't know but everyone except the front reception lady was rather cold. So, finally, my tech comes and offers me a warm neck pad. I decline as it's warm outside and I'm in shorts and a tee shirt. In the mani/pedi room I regret this. Soon I am sitting in a lack-luster salon pedicure chair that's mechanisms are broken so I'm half reclining in an awkward lift my head/neck to hold a convo. Like I said before, my nail tech is pleasant, funny and kind. I notice she does zero manicuring except filing my nails on my feet and toes. I thought perhaps my cuticles aren't in bad shape. I pay the $90 + $15 dollar tip. I leave, run to my car because I'm freezing, get in my car and my husband grabs my hands to look and he is like, "Does an express manicure mean they don't paint your entire nail?" No, darling it doesn't. My nails look ragged. First, it looks like they've had 2 weeks of grow out, and then the sides of each nail were neglected around the cuticle. There is a good 3 millimeters unpainted on the side of some of my nails. On my pinkie toe only half the nail is painted. There are spots missing the shellac top coat and are matte. Again, there wasn't even a quick cuticle clean up. On my toes some are almost clear without color saturation. I seriously, don't understand this lack of quality. I have shellac and aight at home and do a better job and I'm not a nail tech! So, I guess what I thought was an express mani/pedi was what is called a polish change in other salons. All the other stuff I could have just dealt with but lack of quality especially when paying for something more expensive isn't worth ever returning which is too bad because I frequent Sunriver as we have a home there. The manager said I could have a complementary polish change. Save your money and go to Bend. read more

Cannot recommend any higher! First off I was late! Most places if your late you get a death stare and treated like dirt, not here. I was welcomed shown to the locker room, given a soft fluffy robe to change into and then shown to the relaxation room! Hot tea, water comfy couches. Then came my facial, my first real one... bliss is the only way to describe it! It was aromatherapy, massage and relaxation all in one! Then I got my deep tissue massage, most massage therapist cannot go deep enough to find my knots. This was not the case! Megan got knots I'm sure have been there for years! I felt almost almost comatose bliss after that I'm still feeling today! I most definitely will be back and bringing friends! read more

Great facility to have. I've been rehabbing my hamstring in my leg so couldn't run. The Sage Springs facility was very nice. They are also terrific in service. I had left my I-Pod at the facility and only realized when I returned home in Seattle. I called and they found it and sent it back for me to get it in two days. They were great. read more
