I had decided on dentures after years of pain and she assured me this was something she could do. A full upper was done. She then told me my four front lower teeth had to go and she could make me a lower partial that looked like a retainer. So she extracted those as well. $8500.00 later she out right refused to finish my bottom partial. Her treatment coordinator simply replied to every question I had with " You have been referred to another dentist." Dr. Theda was paid in full for this work both by my insurance and in cash by me. I have no idea why she referred me. My insurance will not pay twice for same procedure and I am left withOUT four bottom front teeth. The office did offer me a refund but it was so little I can not make my mouth whole until I save enough money to pay for the copays at another dentist. There are a lot of dentist along the way, but I chose 7th Avenue dental Had to go in for a filling and a cleaning, I had it scheduled back to back, they made it work. Dr Starr was very professional and made it easy for me. Now the cleaning, if you ever had a cleaning from Misty, she is the best. In Gresham, every time, my cleaning only took 15 minutes. Misty did not miss anything on my teeth, she worked on my cleaning seemed like an hour, but if you want a perfect job, it is worth it. His mannerisms are professional and his recommendations have thus far proven to be completely on point. I had a lower denture and two implants for it to snap on to.. all well during 1 year of getting it…read moredone. six months of fitting for agreed price. back 3 times for fitting problems still popping off a lot. first visit to new office, fit properly, another set of caps all good but out of time,$240. made appt for cleaning, around two posts, no real teeth, as recommended by Tony, he explained the cost would be the same as a normal cleaning, ok with me. 7 months later go to cleaning and est. for X-rays, exam and cleaning $326, cleaning $150. I said I only wanted the cleaning done, the girl went back and per Mark the cleaning can't be done without the other work. I don't even know who mark is!!! not my dentist and I don't think a dental hygienist. I feel like it was an upsell or they just thought a senior would pay rather than cancel an appointment for cleaning that was made 7 months ago, Tony is a good dentist, use caution, get prior estimates of all work to be done especially a senior, paying cash. my experience the last two time make me question the business practices.
