The hot dogs are gourmet but I am a vanilla eater so I got the regular hot dog with mustard and relish. Delish. Toppings are on the hot dog when you receive your food so if you want less or more of something on the hotdog you should let them know in advance. Seating area is beside the truck and had fresh flowers on each table.

Highly recommend Moody Dog, Get here, however you can, the trip is worth it! Tons of gourmet dog options and toppings. We had a shroom dog and a BLT dog. See the pics! Those dogs were as good as they look! Maybe better than they look! Service was professional and polite. Out server offered some selection assistance which was helpful and appreciated because there are many gourmet dog choices as well as breakfast all day! Moody Dog is located behind the iconic Rollies Bar in Belfast Maine. Moodys is an eclectic street art decorated stationary food truck with an outdoor seating area. As a bonus part of the seating area has a partial view of Historic Belfast Harbor. Oh and shout out to the onsite owner preparing each delicious and savory work of art! The owner took a few moments to interact with customers between orders. Big plus! And clear sign of owner buy-in and commitment to Moody's customers. We will return, we highly recommend Moodys! Check out Moodys on Isntagram, they have a really cool page with tons of pics and specials!

Traveling with friends and someone recommended stopping at Red's Eats for a late lunch on the way…read moreto Bar Harbor, ME. Fantastic decision! Be aware, even though we were there on a Thursday and well past the normal lunch hour, the parking was still tough to find and the line was very long. In the end, it took more than an hour to get to the window to order. Once we ordered we sat on one of their deck areas and the food was delivered to us within 10 minutes. That being said it was absolutely worth the experience and wait. We got to chat with one of the owners. Very nice conversation. The lobster rolls and the plated lobster were generous in portions and tasted fantastic! The homemade tartar and cocktail sauces are great. The atmosphere added a lot to the fun as the line to order stayed constant. Definitely worth the visit.

Lobster was overpriced and had a texture like it had been frozen for months. It was way too cold and a bit icy, like they didn't even bother to thaw it before selling it. Carelessly piled on top of a piece of bread for no other reason other than to claim they "pile it high." Like, it's supposed to be a sandwich, not a pile of lobster on bread. The entire thing was tasteless while still managing to taste a bit off. Cash only. Great way to need to use an ATM on your trip because you'll run through it all here for nothing in exchange but a wasted two hours in line. We happened to be in town for the last day of the few festival, which held the most important event: the cheese roll! The Good: *Free to attend *Chill atmosphere and didn't seem overly crowded *Lots of food trucks *Great location at the Belfast Ha'bah *Family-friendly *Live Celtic-themed ingredients *Heavy Games (aka Scottish Highland games) *Cheese roll was epic and totally worth watching. It seems like the stupidest thing on earth, but I promise you it's fucking hilarious and so much fun to watch. The Meh: *Didn't really notice a lot of crafty booths around, but it's possible they might've been gone since we showed up for only the final hours of the event. The Ugly: *Parking down at the Ha'bah can be a giant PiTa, but not impossible. Conclusion: Great local festival with some fun events--and don't miss the cheese roll!

There are also music sessions each day where one can bring one's own instrument and join in with a group to jam. The Scottish "heavy games" are amazing to watch as burly men (and women) compete in traditional events such as the caber toss, hammer throw and stone put, all while wearing kilts. Lots of food vendors and craft or information booths. There's also a Renaissance 'travelers' village. And there are fireworks Saturday night! All of this takes place on the waterfront within walking distance from downtown Belfast. Entry is by donation and well worth the contribution!
