The Nice is Right Brick-and-mortar location for a former food truck/food stall that was run by a locally born and bred lobsterwoman, Capt Sadie. Carissa's step-mom had heard Capt Sadie speak at a local graduation and had been chomping at the bit to try out her restaurant. And, of course, with anything involving food we were more than happy to oblige. The Good: *Great location in Downtown Belfast *Fast-casual order at the counter *Beer and wine *Loved the idea of the Lobster Flight, featuring Connecticut-style (butter only), Maine-style (mayo), and their special roll with the spicy Sadie sauce. I preferred their CT, while Carissa (shockingly) preferred the Maine. The Sadie sauce was a nice change up, but it was definitely "Maine spicy," If you catch my drift. *Pet-friendly outdoor seating The Meh: *Pretty limited menu in that if you don't like either Crab or Lobstah, then you best need not apply. The Ugly: *Parking in DT Belfast can be a bit of a shit-show especially in the tourist season. Conclusion: Delicious lobstah roll in a great location and run by a local female entrepreneur. Visited a friend in the Midcoast for Thanksgiving. First Thanksgiving in 16 years I haven't worked, so it was a special few days anyway. Close to the harbor, Must be Nice is a spacious spot with good windows looking out to the water. We came here for the lobster grilled cheese, and other options as I needed my lobster fix, and my friend is a no lobster person. The fries though... The lovely server with a huge, sunny personality told us with a wink, the fries are amazing. She wasn't kidding. I think they were better than my lobster GC which was really quite good. I'm giving this place a low rating because it took ten minutes just to get a menu after I seated myself. Then the server said there would be a 40 minute wait to get food if I ordered so I left. The outdoor patio seemed nice and allowed dogs. The prices were average but since I didn't taste anything I can't comment on the food. read more

The view from the deck was cool . The lobster chowder had essentially no lobster and lots of clams (still said lobster stew on the bill). The crab cakes were barely warm with very little crab. The lobster roll had plenty of lobster, but the bun was stale. Very disappointing meal. read more

Went to lunch, and it wasn't very crowded, but the service was painfully slow. We kept looking around to see if anyone was being served, and nothing was coming out of the kitchen. Crazy and unfortunate! Food was good once we got it, but we waited about 45 minutes before getting a lobster roll! read more

Lovely, intimate space with great service and fresh seafood! I can't keep count of how many lobster rolls we have had over the last few days, and it was pleasant to try a jazzed up version. The crab cakes showcased the protein well, though I feel it could be a touch more seasoned. We were in Belfast last weekend and wanted lobster rolls for lunch. We found this spot on Yelp, and honestly I would not come back. We had lobster rolls in several other places across the state and these had the least flavor and the buns were not warm and not that fresh. I split with my wife and daughter the sampler which was three different kinds and did not love any of the three. They were out of quite a few things on the menu that our friends tried to order (beyond lobster rolls). Our friend said his fish chowder he did get lacked flavor. And even though it was not super crowded, the food came in waves over 10 minutes. Also, I did not love the decor. It felt like you were eating in a basement room with lots of knick knacks for sale. Eating fresh lobster by the water off the coast of Maine is my happy place. The Must Be Nice Lobster truck was a treat to come across when we were walking around Belfast. The service was friendly and masked, and they took credit cards. We ordered a lobster roll and a crab roll. Each was incredible. SO fresh, not overly dressed, and the tender meat (is that weird to say) really shined in each. They were each served on a classic split-top hot dog bun. There were a few picnic tables right by the water and a fire pit, which was perfect. The only downside was it was $25 (+tax +tip) for the lobster roll, and I ate it in ~4 bites. It also took 30min for our order at 1:30pm on a Thursday. But it was worth the wait! read more

Must Be Nice Lobster is a food truck right by the water in Belfast so you get a beautiful view of the water as your eating your fresh lobster. My usual at Must Be Nice Lobster is their gluten-free, dairy-free lobster wrap with a coke. The employees there are really nice, the french fries are delicious and they offer seating right near the truck so that you can relax and enjoy the full experience. Must Be Nice Lobster is very nice and I've eaten there plenty of times but not enough. The french fries are cooked to perfection and the lobster is so well made. read more

Writing this review while eating some leftovers I heated up after not being satisfied by what I ordered from lunch at Must be Nice Lobster. My brother in law recommended against getting the lobster roll here when he was in town last month, but I had a hankering for some lobster and after reading two recommendations for that sandwich here on yelp I decided to try their lobster grilled cheese which was $18 or so and menu said it had two ounces of lobster vs the four they say is in the lobster roll. It's been so long since I've ordered a grilled cheese at a restaurant that I forgot to ask if they had any cheese besides American. So of course I ended up with a sandwich that was heavy with American cheese, and very light on lobster bits. I realize this cost less than their lobster roll, but I've picked more lobster meat out of my teeth before vs what I found in this American-cheesy sandwich. I hate to write a bad review for anyone, and it's not their fault that I don't care for American cheese, but it also sure was a small amount of lobster for my $22 (including tip). Left 2 stars vs just one because the outdoor seating area they have is a plus and quite nice I must admit. Sorry Must Be Nice Lobster, but I won't be returning. read more

Established in 2014.

Captain Sadie joined her dad on the lobster boat at 4 years old and quickly found her passion for being on the water. Upon getting her commercial fishing license in her teens, she started selling her catch at the local farmers market, which led to creating and serving the best lobster rolls around. Word spread about her delicious lobster rolls and Sadie decided to open a food truck, which served Belfast for many years. As it became clear it was time to expand again, she opened the doors to her very own restaurant. There are many wonderful places to eat in Midcoast Maine but not many with a story and deep roots in Maine fishing industry like Sadie’s. Our patrons often leave saying it’s the best lobster roll (and chowder!) in Maine. Come in and see for yourself!

Later that afternoon we tried another lobster stand, and it was worse; the food was terrible for the price, we ordered a side of lobster mac and cheese and there was not a shred of lobster in it, we ended up taking it back and getting our money. Starving, we went back to the Traveling Lobster and had another great meal, listened to trivia and left satisfied. What we learned is if a stand isn't busy or has few cars, don't bother, there's a reason. By all means go the Travelin Lobster, the parking lot is busy, the line moves fast and the food comes out fast and excellent, the employees don't attempt to shame you into tipping them and when you order lobster mac and cheese, you get plenty of lobster. I also learned that my sweet husband is sometimes right :).

We sat outside on Belfast Bay at a table and waited for our number to be called. The view from the back deck is spectacular. I had a single 1 1/2 pound lobster and clam chowder. I am gluten-free. I asked about the chowder and they said it was gluten-free so I had some. The chowder was OK. Not thick at all (hence GF) with way more potatoes than clams. The clam chowder was good, but I wouldn't get it again. It's just not my style. The single lobster was excellent. The lobster was sweet and there was plenty of it. When you pick it up at the counter, they ask if you want the lobster cut for you. I appreciate that. Especially with the hard shell. It makes it much easier to crack open. My kids had the lobster roll. There was plenty of lobster and they enjoyed them very much. I recommend Young's Lobster Pound. Lobster was excellent. The view was spectacular. My only suggestion would be to have someone outside wiping down the tables or have spray and paper towels available so patrons can wipe down the tables and seats before use. The tables can get sticky with all the butter and lobster juice.

We recently stopped by Must Be Nice Lobster and were blown away by the experience. We tried the Sadie's Way Lobster Roll and the Lobster Quesadilla--both were absolutely fantastic! Having tried about a dozen lobster rolls from Nantucket to Maine this summer, I can confidently say this one stands out as the best. The quesadilla was also a hit, with perfectly balanced flavors. The atmosphere is super cool and very family-friendly, with a great selection of wine and beer to complement the meal. What makes this spot even more special is that it's owned and operated by a young female lobster lady--how awesome is that? We're thrilled to support this business and highly recommend it to anyone in the area. Even if you're just passing through, Must Be Nice Lobster is definitely worth a stop! read more

Clean and I appreciate that I was able to dine with my dog on a leash. Overall, Carrier's Mainely Lobster was mediocre. If it was my first time, trying lobster, I don't know that I would try lobster again. You're better off going to Young's Lobster Pound in Belfast.
