Located off of a side road (no traffic signal) that intersects with Hwy. 105, you feel as if you're driving into the deep woods until you reach The Carriage House. It is a very unique setting, and when you leave, the road gets very dark! Parking is ample, but be aware that the parking lot itself is actually stones and rocks (a bit difficult to travel across if you're wearing high heels). We have received so many compliments of what a stunning venue Magnolia Bells is! The venue is nestled in the woods, just outside of Tomball, and just 30 minutes from The Woodlands Waterway. There is a beautiful limestone chapel with a wall of candles that were all lit at our 6 pm ceremony. The acústica in this chapel were PERFECT for the River Oaks string quartet who were playing as guests arrived and for our procession. The chapel is complete with three separate rooms for wedding parties to await the ceremony start. There is a huge antique bell atop the chapel that is only rang when the bride and groom kiss- made we cry after ceremony just hearing its sound! The reception barn is large with a separate section for caterers to set up buffet allowing more room for tables, an enclosed bar area, restrooms at both ends of the hall and candles and greenery were everywhere which makes for a most beautiful romantic space! On the morning of the big day the groomsmen have their own large two story cottage for hanging out and getting ready complete with pool table, complete kitchen, and locker room area to change. The bridal cottage is just the right size for all the girls to get ready! Small kitchen, really large bath area and mirrors everywhere. There is a vanity area that seats 5 with mirrors and Hollywood lighting that is perfect for the MUA and hairstylists to prep everyone. We reserved the house overlooking a pond that accommodates 10 that is located on the property. The venue rents this for $500 a night for the wedding party/family to stay after the reception. This venue is known with all of the vendors we worked with as being their favorite place to work and set up due to the EXTREMELY organized team in place and just how perfectly everything was designed with the vendors in mind. Our coordinator, Alison, was one of the calmest people I think I have ever met the day of the wedding with so much taking place to coordinate that day! I had every confidence that things were going to be just as we planned and it was. She handled the phone calls to vendors the time leading up to the wedding to make sure the timeline was perfect, she made sure we had our few items completed and we were staying on task. We had not only one design meeting but three design and prep meetings with her and the team during the time leading up to the actual event! All of our family were so pleased with how beautifully everything was done and that is no easy task, lol! Magnolia Bells enough brought the wedding of our dreams to life and it was an unforgettable night surrounded by those we love. I can not recommend them enough!

There was plenty of space to walk around the property between the ceremony and reception, and the outside lights in the garden area were stunning once the sun went down. The windows in the chapel don't face the westward sun, making it cooler (as opposed to other venues we've been to where it's so hot). There's a cool 1920s car that makes for great photo ops. I'll also note the food was excellent, and the bartenders were phenomenal. The staff was remarkable. If we were planning a wedding, we'd definitely consider The Peach Orchard.

From the planning process to the big day, everyone was kind, professional, and accommodating. That said, we do feel it's important to mention that the DJ company we hired from their all inclusive package (EC Entertainment) completely ruined every key moments of our day, including all the ceremony music, cocktail hour, grand entrance, and our first dance. Our assigned DJ was completely unprofessional. He had ample amount of time to fix the issue, call for help, or at least communicate the issue to someone after the ceremony and did not. Instead he went on with our grand entrance and first dance knowing the sound was completely screwed up. During our first dance he was crashing out, hands on head, pacing back and forth, not knowing what to do. If we could go back we would have been way more intentional in choosing a DJ. Music is such an important part of a wedding, we trusted EC Entertainment and they completely let us down. So many moments of our wedding that were supposed to be special were stolen from us. We will never get those back. No amount of apologies will fix it. Important to mention that our DJ also did not reach out to us for the first time until three days before our wedding. We would absolutely NOT recommend EC Entertainment to future couples, however we do wholeheartedly recommend Addison Woods as a venue. They handled the situation with grace, understanding and compassion. They did everything they could to make it right. They couldn't have known it was going to happen. Please learn from our mistake, do not hire EC Entertainment. Meet with other DJ companies and find your fit.

-The WORST I have ever been treated by a business-…read more I have been on this planet for almost 37 years now and have never been talked to, policed by, treated-as-poorly or had my integrity insulted by a business like I was this evening. The premise is simple - if the party does not pay to have bar service then NO alcohol is to be on the premises. (All-good at face value. After all, they are a business and protecting themselves.) What was NOT good was how they went about policing people coming into the party (going as far as to check inside of new arrivals trunks to check for alcohol! I'm sorry, are you the police?) The bartender actually went as far as to - literally here folks - RIP a bag of liquors out of my hands while I was on the phone with my wife. (Uhh...EXCUSE ME?! Assault people much?) This was not the end of our playful trysts of the evening. When we asked her to have the booze back so we could keep it sealed and place it into our locked vehicles, she said that she couldn't do that due to the fact that the business couldn't monitor alcohol outside of the bar. "OK, well - that's my property and I'm going to go put it in my vehicle (again, also my property), where it can stay put and remain unopened." Again, she said she couldn't do that. "So, you're saying that I cannot have my property back?" "Yes sir. I'm sorry, but that is our policy - we simply do not have the staff available to follow individuals around the whole night to make sure they are complying with our policy." "OK! So then can you apologize for acting so rudely and unprofessionally, as to actually remove the bag from my possession while I'm having a conversation with my wife on the phone?! Or, is it too much for me to ask for an additional apology for insulting my integrity?" "Sir, I don't know why you are getting upset and rude with me." At this point I turn to my co-worker beside me and give him the look. [Um, I don't remember calling her any names or yelling or otherwise throwing a tantrum. I've been very calm and understanding up until this point.] "Ma'am, obviously there's been a miscommunication. But we're not being rude with you or upset, although now I'm beginning to become upset." Long story short, we talked with the head of our party, who spoke with the manager. Stephanie, the manager, gave permission for the alcohol to be moved into the bridal suite where there is a refrigerator. I then proceeded to move said liquor to the bridal suite. ---Fast forward 1 hour later--- Well the ceremony is done and it's a hot day. I'm headed over to the bridal suite to have a quick cocktail - not to leave the suite of course! - Only to find out that they had come back into the suite and...get this; STOLEN the liquor!!! No notice. No 'Hey, by the way, we needed to move the liquor in your suite for whatever lame excuse I can come up with.' NOTHING. I swear. It took everything I had at the end of the night not to throw a bottle through a plate glass window! The nerve of these people! I don't know how you could expect someone to have a decent experience when you treat your guests with such blatant disrespect!! So on the hospitality scale, I would give this place a -10. However, I'm sure that if you opt-in for the open bar then you'll have a good time. Provided no one in your party actually has to deal with the snooty-brat-turned-bartender; or has any civil misunderstanding with management. By the way, the view is fantastic! :)
