The AC did not work on the day of our party and when I was able to find a number to call for assistance, the manager came and was very rude! Instead of offering assistance, she insisted on another payment because our guests had filtered into an empty adjoining room, that was cooler! Very unfortunate experience when we were looking forward to a happy celebration.

The grounds were picturesque, the photographer kept remarking how easy his job was with the lovely background. The cocktail hour was held in the newly renovated barn space and was a hit. We used the space both to serve refreshments and as a dance floor. Having everything on site made the planning and execution easy. The event space has the added benefit of the ability to host guests on-site. My family traveled from China and despite coming from a big city, they felt at ease in this rural, upstate New York farm house. It was exceptionally clean, the fridge and stove are brand new, and there is plenty of space in this sweeping home. A great venue, I can't recommend enough!

It is a 1/2 drive from Cortland to Ithaca and 18 mile distance traveled each way and it was well worth the savings. It was a very pleasant stay, the hotel was very friendly accommodating and gracious the whole weekend. We had adjoining rooms and we were conveniently located right by the indoor heated pool with jacuzzi. They have a free hot breakfast daily in the morning and there is always something to drink or snack like chocolate chip cookies all day long that the grandkids really enjoyed. The rooms were cleaned daily and they have comfortable feathered pillows. There is a big refrigerator and decent small microwave in every room besides iron and ironing board and hair dryer. I would definitely recommend anyone needing to stay around Ithaca to come to Cortland for the savings and the service.

Picture that over both beds - again, a perfect indication of what to expect. The shower was so rusted we could barely pull up the stop to get the water to come out of the shower head. We specifically chose this hotel because of the kitchenette. THERE WAS NO SILVERWARE! A tired skillet and a spatula. Silverware is one of the most basic things that should be in the room. We didn't even both trying to cook something there we were so disgusted. I could talk on and on about how the bottom of the doors were peeled off and paint free, etc. But I think you should just know what you're getting - and the only thing you're going to get is a deal for sleeping there. I know I wouldn't return to stay here again - even with the price.

Came up for Cortland's Parents Weekend and had an awesome time. The whole town was buzzing... great…read moreenergy everywhere, but still felt welcoming and easy to enjoy. It's one of those weekends where you get to step into your kid's world a bit and actually see why they love it here. Bars and restaurants were lively but manageable, people were friendly, and it had that perfect mix of college fun and family atmosphere. Definitely a weekend worth making the trip for... we'll be back.
