Used to be great value not anymore. I'd always get the chicken sub. Now they've cut back on the amount of chicken and the price has gone way up. 2 people with sun and gyros, split some fries and 2 drinks over $50..it's a sub shop...nothing special. Overpriced! read more

The Sub Place is a Greek fast food restaurant has been a North Bay tradition for decades and there are reasons for that: Consistent quality, flavour, good pricing family, and community. This is a great place to have a great sub. I absolutely love the assorted sub, with onions on white bread - heated. It doesn't get better than that! I've been coming for years. I started coming here when I was a teen. Back when this place was located on Algonquin next to "Bayview Video". The same people operate it, the food is as delicious now as it was then. Best subs in the world! I constantly look to see if I can find a place down south in Toronto (where I currently live) which will come close or even rival this place but I have found no such place thus far. On top of having the most delicious subs in the world the staff here are all incredibly friendly. Watch out though, get into a conversation with them and be prepared to spend your afternoon standing at the counter making a new friend :P Get their BBQ Chicken Sub and be prepared to burst by the time you get near the end of it. The food served here is all in extremely generous portions which is one of the reasons I love this place. When I am going to spend money on fast food I don't want to leave still hungry. Also they have an awesome deal where if you buy one full length sub and a drink you get the second sub for only $4. This is #1 on my must-eat-at-if-visting-North-Bay list. Every time I visit home I make sure I stop here. The staff are almost like family to me now. read more

The subs are awesome. They're specialized here. The service is nice, the ambience chilled out. I do love a good sub. The fries are sometimes excessively greasy, but they're still good. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick fix of grub, definitely lets you kick back with a legit sandwich with some buds. At least try one of the subs once. I come by here every week or two, but I have a number of favorite places to go to, I like to diversify. I'm not an eat-out kind of guy, but still it's a great place to go to on the semi-regular. Love this place. Best Subs. Chicken sub you watch them rip a grilled chicken apart to put on your sub. You get skin on or off. They put nice big chunks of chicken. Steak sub they grill an actual steak not processed meat that doesn't even look like steak. Also had the fries delicious. Very generous portions. Their wings are also great. There nice and spicy without any dipping sauce. Family business that has had the same staff for a long time. You need to try it once and you'll be hooked. read more

Had to change my star rating to a 2.5 star, the Greek Food comes with a sad looking greek salad and no more potatoes and rice, you get french fries, sigh, disappointing :( The subs are still better then Subway or Mr. Sub GREAT FOOD!!! The Gyro deal is the best! You can order Chicken (w or w/o Skin on - its their roasted chicken), Gyro Meat (kind of a braised meatloaf, similar to Donair meat) or Mixed. Their fries are amazing! When you get the combo, it includes Gyro, Sm Fry, and Pop for $10 tax in. You will be full - no question on that. read more

BEST SUBS ON EARTH. Try the chicken sub "skin on". It consists of a ton of freshly BBQ'd delicious chicken and any kind of topping you can jam on there. It is seriously good food and you get a ton of it. The gyros are also the greatest. So delicious. The staff are also excellent, full time, attentive, and quite professional.
