It was literally the day I picked it up when the new struts were placed on it. Within that week I had to bring it back for an alignment. Your staff tried telling me "it's just the roads". The other shop you mention was bmw dealership who tried to fix the issue that was caused by this installation. They diagnosed car with new right strut being bent. You said you would replace it and I asked about replacing strut mount at same time. You did not replace the strut and then I brought it back later to have strut mount replaced. You did both at same time! I stated I would pay for the strut mount as it was also recommended by dealership asterisk causing issue since the strut mounts were not replaced in the beginning which is recommended when replacing struts but you decided not to for some reason. Your timeline of events is off Vlad. I immediately complained about the issues with installation and just about every week for months called to see when I could get car in to have it looked at. I offered multiple times to see if anything else needed replaced at my cost. At no time did you tell me that replacing all of the struts and shocks back to oem was at no cost to me. In fact you told me it would be an expense you didn't want to deal with and I responded didn't want to spend additional few thousand dollars to do that. I asked you several times to look at everything and see what the possible issue is, you would not do this, and your response to me is "you tell me what you want me to do"! I mean really? You are supposed to be the bmw expert and you're asking me what to do? I even said multiple times if you think it is the aftermarket control arms then please quote me to replace and let's see if that solves the problem. To this date I still have no quote from you. But here we are 6 months later and I have brought this car to you several times to allow you to fix this properly and you still can't. It's not my fault your work and installation has caused this issue. I gave you every chance to make this right and you decided not to.

After dropping my car off, I got a text a few hours later showing me my brake pads. They said they looked nearly brand new and I definitely did not need them replaced. Along with that, they had much better pricing (aka not taking advantage of customers) for a few other items that I wanted to get done on the car. We will be Max Auto customers for life! 7/24/2026: Updating this review after a more recent, more complicated repair. My most recent repair was a rough experience. The car was towed in on 7/13 after we hit a boulder during a creek crossing and obliterated the oil pan. I was told on 7/14 that they'd get to it that day, but it wasn't actually looked at until 7/16. From there, the part had to be ordered and didn't arrive until 7/20. (I was later told that they did confirm the oil pan damage on 7/14, but the oil pan still was not ordered until 7/16.) While the work was scheduled to be completed on 7/21, the car wasn't ready to be picked up until 7/23. The bigger issue was that I had to initiate almost every single update myself. I'd ask "any news?" and get a status; otherwise I heard nothing, even on days they'd told me I'd get an update. At one point I was told "tomorrow will be the day," and then heard nothing again until I followed up. I understand that this was an unscheduled tow-in, and they told me at one point that they'd put other jobs aside to get to mine faster, but honestly, there never seemed to be any sense of urgency on their end -- our (only!) car ended up being in the shop for over a week and a half. It doesn't seem like the place for an emergency repair, since their schedule seems consistently over-packed, which makes it hard for them to actually prioritize anything, urgent or not. To be clear, I don't doubt the quality of the actual repair work, and I still trust their diagnostics and pricing based on my original experience. But the communication issues were enough to make me hesitant about coming back.

During the inspection they discovered that my car was in need of new brake pads and rotors and had an oil leak. I ended up getting my brakes done at a different place that only does brakes after finding out the quote I got from Z Auto was really high. I was leaving in a couple days to drive over 2k miles, so I wanted to get the oil leak looked at before I left to make sure it was still ok to drive my car that far without immediate repairs. At the suggestion of my friend, I reached out to Greg to have him take a look, and he told me he couldn't get me in until the next week. He managed to squeeze me in when I explained my situation. He inspected my car and told me what he guessed may be wrong, but noted that I should be good to drive the long distance and we could perform further diagnostics once I got back. During this time he also noted that my coolant reservoir was bone dry (despite the first shop supposedly performing a thorough inspection and topping off all fluids), and my oil was overfilled. He topped off my coolant and sent me on my way without charging me anything for his time or the fluids. I definitely will be returning to this shop for all of my maintenance needs given both the competence and knowledge displayed by Greg as well as the customer care and service. He seems like an honest mechanic with extremely fair pricing based on the price he quoted me for new brakes and rotors, which was very close to the price I paid at a corporate chain to have my brakes done. (The quality of components he uses would have been higher and worth it.) I also found out an oil change would have been cheaper than I paid at Z Auto WITH a coupon. And if any further reassurance is needed after reading this far, I can only further convince you with the rave review my friend gave him, referencing his fair pricing, quality of work, and her repeat visits to him (due to having a less than quality vehicle, rather than previous work performed by Greg's shop). Definitely support this local business, because a good, honest mechanic with reasonable prices can be hard to find!

March 10th, 2022 I…read morerecently had the pleasure of working with Greg's Garage and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with Greg's work. From the moment I brought the truck in for a pre purchase inspection he was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Greg took the time to explain the issues with the truck in a way that was easy for me to understand. He was patient in answering all of my questions and made me feel confident in that I was making n informed decision. I enjoyed working with him so much so, that I chose him to do the repairs and maintenance work as well. Throughout the entire process, Greg kept me updated on the progress and provided me with a clear timeline for when my truck would be ready. When I picked up my truck, it road worthy and I was extremely satisfied with the quality of their work. What really stood out to me was the level of care and attention to detail Greg displayed. He truly went above and beyond to ensure that my truck was in top condition and ready for my long trip back to Miami. I would highly recommend this mechanic to anyone in need of quality repairs and exceptional service.
