I have to say do not use this venue by any means! My daughter booked this place and I begged her not to book before I seen it. I had called the owner and she was so rude when I asked simple questions. The main bar has coors light and miller light neon signs. I simply asked if we could take them down and she was so rude for me like I was a bother. My daughter emailed her questions and it takes the owner forever to get back to her. They are so unprofessional and do not know how to run a wedding venue. My daughter kindly asked for her deposit back and the lady refused. I know we signed a contract but after reading how many terrible reviews and how bad our experience has been she didn't want to go with the venue. The wedding is a year away and I wish my daughter picked a better venue. Brides DO NOT use this venue! Please! read more

What an absolute pleasure this was! I just got married this past weekend and could t have asked for a better time. All the guests stayed at the Chula Vista ( 5 min away) or the Vue. Kerri (owner/manager) was all over the entire time and on point! There was bad road construction that came from no where and she had a solution to everything. The food was absolutely amazing and the venue couldn't not have been better. We had the ceremony outside along with pictures and music going while being able to see our guests so there was no fear of missing out. Plenty of room for a band and dancing too If you're looking into a venue, I'd highly recommend this place. Not one thing went wrong and it was nothing but amazing. We can't wait for our photos/video. Granted, it's a beautiful place, but there are a lot of other beautiful places. We had a wedding there. First of all, it's like pulling teeth to find things out, you pay them, and they are not straight forward about what they will be doing for you. They have an on line brochure, but it leaves out a lot of information. We got there the morning of the wedding and there was all kinds of crap to be picked up outside before we could decorate, random chairs sitting in the front. When we asked them to get rid of the chairs and help clean up, they were clearly annoyed. They were not friendly at all! The food was okay, very expensive. Of course. I know that, but $60.00 for 2.5 gallons of ice tea, come on. It was a very warm day, we were inside before the wedding and the owner turns off the air! Omg! And one more thing, they kept our left over cake!! I was not happy at all. My advice, keep looking and save this extravagant price towards a house down-payment. read more

They made my Pinterest dreams come to life, and had zero hesitations with anything I asked for. Kari, Kayla, & the hard workers at the Swan Barn Door made sure everything ran so smoothly for the big day. It was a beautiful fall day, and all the leaves from the trees falling down made it picture-esc. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, the ceremony and reception was done up beautifully by Kari & Kayla. I truly felt like it was the most magical day of my life thanks to them. Yes- it does come at a heftier price, but you absolutely get what you pay for & I believe the service we experienced was more than fair at that price. Brides Beware! Though this is a lovely and magical venue, it is still not completed after being open for more than five years. The inside is rustic and well crafted. The bridal suite in the basement is lovely, but does not access the barn without going outside completely in view of the guests. The main entrance is completely blocked with large bolder rocks. Guests enter up a long deck ramp or through a back entrance. Unfortunately, the owner/manager is difficult, unhelpful, apathetic and rude. As a wedding designer/coordinator for almost twenty years, I have never been treated so badly that the other vendors came up to apologize to me for HER behavior. The barn was at 64* upon arrival to set up and decorate. Multiple requests to turn up the heat were met with annoyance. The barn was not comfortable until after dinner. All of the tables were not in place or dressed so that decorating could begin on time. The owner was down in the kitchen cooking, so no questions could be answered. Brides, be sure to ask to see their rental linens. They do not cover the feet of the tables or those of the bridal party at the head table. The caterer that every couple must use, is also owned by the owners of the Swan Barn Door. The food was adequate, but cold. The packaged rolls came with hotel/restaurant hard butter squares. The guests stacked their own dirty dinner plates to make room for the dessert. The couple had paid to have the wedding cake cut, but the serving of it was refused. Coffee was not served and was not allowed to be put near the cake where the guests could get it. It was at one end of the bar so that tablecloths did not get soiled. Few guests knew that it was there and would have liked it when coming in from the ceremony; but it had not been made yet. Hot and cold cider was brought by the family to serve to the guests, but the urn rented to warm it was one that only used a Sterno flame, which can keep beverages warmed, but not heat it. No provisions to get the cider hot were ever offered for the entire night. A list of unfortunate situations could be given that added frustrations and showed lack of professional customer service, but I don't want to make this review longer. In their defense, they had taken three weddings for the weekend, had not enough staff and were probably burned out; but if good customer service cannot be given to every couple...then a venue should only book what can be handled. read more

This is a stunningly beautiful indoor venue. We had an amazing wedding there, but the stress in dealing with the venue was extreme, and their business model is, to be generous, not transparent. You are pressured into hiring a $1500 wedding coordinator who cannot answer a single question herself. When you are shown the menu and book the venue, you are not told of the many extras you will be required to pay if you want a wedding and not a picnic. You must upgrade the tablecloths to cover the table legs. Cloth napkins are extra. Chargers are extra. Glasses with water are extra ($2 per person!) Real plates and cutlery are extra. You want wine on the table? Glasses for the wine is extra! None of this was disclosed when initially discussing the catering menu. (They have subsequently put a note on their website that food comes with disposable plates and cutlery and water "service" is extra.) Do not order dessert. I paid $650 for "cheesecake bites" for approx. 100 people. I got 100 25-cent-sized bites. No plates with them, they were not refreshed, that fed a max of of 40 people. You may think you know what your wedding is going to cost, until you are locked into a contract with this venue. Also, they do not have any AV equipment for an outdoor ceremony. You must bring your own extension cords, speakers, microphone, etc. if you wish your guests to hear the vows. Should it rain and you have to have an indoor ceremony, the beautiful loft area is not handicapped accessible. The beauty of this venue does not overcome the needless difficulties and unexpected expenses it throws in your way. read more

First of all this business does not appear properly thru their website. They show a beautiful place with some beautiful pictures but they are not the actual property. The actual property is still be built. They said that it would be open for business but actual they have not been approved to have their business opened. If you go there, you will find that it is very incomplete and they still have lots of work that need to be done. I would said they have at less another full year before they could even have it safe for the public. Right now it is not handicap accessible and the parking lot is just gravel that is among the trees so there are no directions of where the public is to park for events. The inside is far from beautiful like they claim that it is.They say there are tree root chandeliers but they just have dried tree roots hanging from the ceiling. They have tree trunks as supports for the building but the roots are tripping hazards. I watch people trip over them but luckily were ok. The bathrooms don't have proper door closures on them so you can see and hear as people are using the restrooms. The only running water is located in the restrooms and the staff is not afraid to use that water for people to drink at the bar. The walls are covered with black paper and the lighting is not good. There are many fire violations that need to be corrected. Putting the black paper only makes the place darker and with poor lighting, harder for people to see. The owners make many promises that they don't follow through on like telling you that the floor would be done and beautiful in time of your event and when the event comes, it was just the underlay or plywood sheets.When asked when they were going to have the floor done, they inform you that it's their next project and that will probably be next winter. The roof was also incomplete so if it was raining outside, it was raining inside. You could see the hole in the roof when you looked up. At first you thought the holes were little lights but actually it was the outside looking in. There was no changing rooms for the wedding party. When asked about changing rooms, you were told that they would have beautiful tents outside but then the day before you find out there were no tents and you were to use the bathrooms. They ran out of beer and used a barrel of beer that was from the wedding the night before. They told you that they were giving the wedding party a case of wine but the wedding party never saw it. They were to have bottled water but there was none. We were told that there would be coffee available but again there was none. The staff went through the buffet line without approval from the wedding party. For the price you pay for the venue, you shouldn't have to feed the staff as well. I have never gone to a wedding were the staff ate the food for the party. Some day this will be a beautiful place for a wedding but it will take more work and a better staff to make this an awesome place. Until then, stay away because they charge you full price and you are not given what they tell you. This place is still under construction. read more

Every detail from the bathroom doors to the outside ceremony area was thought out and executed beautifully! The staff was very helpful during setup, the actual wedding and during clean up. July 23, 2016 was supposed to one of the best days of my life but in fact it was the worst experience I have ever had. When I went a month prior they gave me the impression that it was going to be BEAUTIFUL but we would be unable to use the second level or have a balcony. I figured that was understandable, things come up when building but they gave me such hope that it would be suitable for my wedding day. On my wedding I came into the parking lot to a HUGE hole at the entrance of the building, bathroom ceilings were leaking from the rain (they had at least 10 tin buckets in the bathrooms), the only finished wall was in the men's restroom so ALL of our professional photos had to be in the there between people using the urinals, the lighting was terrible and the black lining on the walls didn't help that matter. The floors were rough ply wood and my train of my dress got snagged multiple times on the flooring. To top it it all off they filled and served water from the restrooms to my guests and gave tours on my wedding while I was officially renting the venue. There website told us that there would be shuttles from Chula Vista Resort and Delton Oaks resort, but they lied. The shuttles were cancelled 2 weeks before my wedding day for the bridal party and they never had a contract with them to have shuttles for guests ( I found all of this out ON MY WEDDING DAY). All of their photos on their website are either off of the internet or they took someone elses photos without giving them credit that they took them to use for publicity. They Lied to me multiple times, wouldn't admit their faults and made excuses to what they told me would be BEAUTIFUL. I would never recommend this place even after it is fully complete and BEAUTIFUL because the people running it are not professional. read more
