The pistachio is fresh and the chocolate is high quality. There are places selling v these for $20 that are clearly made in a home kitchen with supermarket melting wafers, but this is the real deal. Having initially ordered the milk chocolate we immediately returned for a dark chocolate version. We have since even returned for another. Are the other goodies wonderful? Perhaps. I'm sure they are amazing. It's this bar, though, that drew me inside and for which we've returned. The store is clean and cute. The staff is friendly and patient. The price is reasonable when the quality is considered. Very satisfied.

I found this place on Yelp and decided to bring her for a post dinner hot chocolate. I ordered the dark signature drinking chocolate and my wife ordered the milk chocolate signature drinking chocolate. I personally enjoy dark chocolate more, thus I found my drink to be tastier. My wife does not care much for dark chocolate so she enjoyed hers more. You may want some water after you finish your drink because it's very rich in flavor. Unfortunately they were out of the single source chocolate for the day. I assume that it must be delicious if it's sold out by the end of the day. We also ordered a chocolate walnut cookie, however I believe that she gave us the chocolate raspberry cookie by accident. I was not upset because that was my second choice anyway. The cookie had pockets of nothing but chocolate which, for a chocolate lover like myself, were pure heaven. The place is somewhat cozy feeling and has a decent amount of seating for a store in Georgetown. They care enough about the store to have closed off a bench that had stained upholstery. I appreciated that they cared about that because other stores would have just left it and allowed people to sit on it. The parking is typical Georgetown parking so be prepared for it to be a mess. Loved the slight heat the spicy mango gave, with the spice coming through right at the end of each bite. I thought the strawberry balsamic would be my least favorite, but it was so good. Läderach is my go-to chocolate shop to grab some festive holiday goodies - whether it's heart-shaped chocolate for Valentine's Day, chocolate bunnies for Easter, or a chocolate reindeer or angel for Christmas, Läderach offers a great selection for every occasion. This is premium chocolate, so it is pricey. The prices in the shop are the same prices as online. I do wish they had some kind of rewards/loyalty program, but I'm already a repeat customer without it. Nine times out of 10, there's a staff member standing outside the shop with a smile and a giant tray of samples to lure you in. Their chocolate hazelnut slab is smooth, rich, and delicious, and it has that perfect crunch from the nuts. The gentleman was very helpful in explaining the various types of chocolate decadence that they have, and he gave me the prices as well. They don't actually post the prices here. The medium sized box of chocolate covered strawberries that I purchased was nearly $50. I think the main reason for the pricey chocolate is their location being only a block away from the White House and also because most of the chocolate is imported. I'm sure the tariffs now has increased the price by a lot. The one reason why I did not give this place five stars was that they opened over an hour later than what is posted on the door.
