My cousins live in Helena and told me that this was a great little a lot so I looked it up and decided to give it a whirl. I ended up circling the block because I couldn't quite figure out the drive thru entrance. Still not sure I did it right, but I made it to the window. There were three cars in front of me. I saw a lady go inside and come back out before one of the cars left, but I have no idea if she called ahead. There was a bit of a wait but I think that's because they take their time with each customer. When it was my turn I explained it was my first time and she grabbed all of the menus even the seasonal one and let me look at them. She said they also had some pastries and burritos. I ordered the bacon burrito, but I think I got sausage which was fine because it was delicious! I ordered two drinks because I couldn't decide. I loved the caramel apple chai! The maple cardamom latte was good but not my favorite, but that's on me. The presentation was great. My pup even got a little pup cup. I liked the inspirational handwritten note on the bag. It was a nice touch. I've tried to do that for my customers too. Kindness matters. This placed definitely hits the spot and I would recommend supporting them just on friendly service alone but the drinks and food make it extra cool. I had read in another review about a free pastry, but that didn't happen. I think that is when they have extra perhaps or special cases. As a baker I get it, it's expensive to give product away for free and is certainly not expected. read more

So, let's start off with the service. Amazing! The owner is so personable and kind. I'm a celiac and I had 2 different choices to pick from for sweets. The first was their giant GF cookie...it tasted amazing and left me wanting more. I also bought their strawberry GF crumble. I just had one bite, but just from that I knew I didn't want to share it with my husband. I had an English Breakfast Tea and it was great as well. My husband had the maple bar and a cup of coffee. He enjoyed both of them too. I just have to say finding excellent GF products is hard. To find them handmade in the cutest little shop was a dream. Let's hear it for the entrepreneurs out there that give that extra effort in making products we celiacs can eat and have something wonderful to indulge in. read more

I just discovered the best Bavarian Cream Donut ever. The Sweet Spot has world class bakery that will have you headed back for more. The coffee is top notch as well and even the hot chocolate is beyond expectations. There is a drive thru window so you can get the gourmet delights from the privacy of your truck, side by, or car. Bakery is often wrapped with thoughtful and inspirational quotes. Open until about 11 am most days, so get there early and you will go back often. read more

When The Sweet Spot opened its doors just over a year ago, I was delighted to know I could get my fancy coffee caffeine fix without driving half an hour north or south. I was pleasantly surprised as the smell of fresh baked cinnamon rolls wafted through the air. As the year has gone by, the pastries have expanded to caramel rolls (the best I've ever had), cinnamon chip scones (my personal favorite), cookies of all kinds, and, of course, maple bars. I was passing through this small town on the way to Helena and figured I would give it a whirl. Needless to say I was engulfed by a lovely small town experience. There where fresh pastries laying all over the place. The first day I was given a free coconut cookie with my Latte and obtained a cinnamon roll the size of human head. It was excellent! The second morning I was given a free pumpkin cookie with my Latte which was also excellent. I don't know how they stay open with their low prices and free pastries but I hope they do. The service was wonderful. The women working there where genuinely pleasant they seemed to really enjoy the work and It showed. It was the perfect start to my day and I will be back EVERY time I pass by. read more

A good friend suggested this small bakery as having amazing baked goods. Just get there early because they sell out quickly, especially for the daily specials. My wife and I got up early (7 am) and drove 26 miles to Boulder to find out. The bakery's located on the Main Street in an older masonry corner building with several outdoor tables. The drive up window was busy non-stop. Inside the display case had some standard items, plus five type of scones, and daily-special apple turnovers. The giant cinnamon rolls and equally large caramel apple rolls were not in the display. When I mentioned those were items we hoped to buy, the very pleasant owner told us they were in back on the rack. We eagerly ordered three of each, but discovered only two caramel apple rolls remained. Wow! They are huge. We took all we could get, plus scones and maple bars (long Johns). We shared our items with family in Helena area. Big smiles everywhere. The Sweet Spot is a hidden gem and I probably should not encourage customers, but their bakery is simply amazing and delicious.
