We came today with our two granddaughters to let them pick out some candy. The first time they came they each only wanted (1) large sucker. They have several color coded prices & kids don't understand, also the larger candy needs to be separated when paying. We were then told everything was $10 a pound. The total cost was $26 and the biggest kid "me" didn't get any. I'm sure there Mom & Dad will distribute the candy accordingly. Any time we are in Marine City the candy store is a mandatory visit by all "11" grandchildren and their parents. read more

This place is adorable! Located in Marine City, we stopped in one night after dinner. They have everything! And I mean everything! They have loose bulk candy and nuts. Brownies, chocolate dipped Twinkie's and Oreos. They have old nostalgic candies from the past where you read next to them long they've been in existence. They also have all the gummy and sour candy available today. Want a waffle bowl of ice cream? They got that too. The kids are super friendly. They do not have a public bathroom though...their building is kind of setup like Mackinaw or Frankenmuth where's the stores inside the strip but they have a public bathroom inside.... So when the other businesses close, you'll have run somewhere because they're open longer than the cafe read more

A candy and sweets store on steroids. We've been here a couple of times and we have walked out with a bag full of goodies! From ice cream to fudge to homemade chocolates and pastries. There's also candy bars and a ton of taffy flavors along with nostalgic items you don't see at the neighborhood store. They have it all covered and there's something for everyone. Need a gift for the sweet lover? Stop in and you'll be surprised at all they carry. The service is always friendly and helpful and the store is nicely laid out with updated displays. This will always be a favorite stop of ours and I hope you'll enjoy The Sweet Tooth as much as we do. read more

This review is based on one experience here. I could go back feel different, but based on this experience, I'll give 5 stars! When we walked in the door, an employee from behind the ice cream counter immediately asked if we were ready to order. Hubby made his choice fairly quickly. I needed more time and a couple samples. I tried the ice cream with peaches and the one with blueberries. The blueberry was my choice and it was so yummy!!! It wasn't as sweet as some ice creams and seemed lighter. I definitely enjoyed my small cup which was plenty for me. Hubby ordered a medium waffle cone with caramel truffle cheesecake ice cream. It was huge!!! He wished he had ordered the small, although he had no trouble finishing the medium. He said it was delicious!!! And unlike some ice cream places, we walked out spending about $10. If you are looking for a huge variety of ice cream flavors, this is your place! They have a few brands including Hudsonville, Ashby's, and Ben and Jerry's. Phenomenal service with kindness and a smile and if you walk away empty handed that's a serious problem. They have something for everyone, even if you are a diabetic they have a variety for also. Sugar free tastes like it isn't. YUM! I'm not a diabetic, but I still get the sugar free. A place you must visit when you come to Marine City. Wow! This place is legit. Tons of candy variety. Lots of homemade chocolate goodies, of which I'm bringing home some treats for my daughters. But the yummiest winner of the day was the gigantic scoop of ice cream in hand dipped waffle cones. Delicious. And huge portions. I just got one scoop and it was $3 plus the $1 cone. Trust me it was a bargain. I have a sweet tooth and even I couldn't quite make it to the bottom of this yumminess. I had the s'mores cone and when you bit in, there was a layer of marshmallow between the cone and chocolate. And that was topped with graham cracker pieces. Never mind that the ice cream was pretty good too. But that cone... so amazing. 100% will stop back if I'm in the area. read more

Awesome selection of candy! The ice cream is delicious!! My little guy had braces when we visited, so his selection was limited. Now that they are off, we will be back so he can have a bit more freedom to choose from all of the delightful treats! I DO hate the pricing structure on the wall; we didn't really realize it until it was too late, but I guess that's our own fault. It won't stop us from returning though! read more

I stopped at the Sweet Tooth Cafe while visiting Marine City. I purchased half a dozen chocolate chip cookies with high hopes; however they tasted exactly like chips ahoy chocolate chip chewy cookies. Very disappointing! read more

Love this place! My favorite ice cream is pistachio almond. There is a large selection of old time candy as well as divine truffles. I love the champagne truffle! Melts in your mouth. You can get a "baby" cone or if you dare, a whopping 4 scoop cone, but good luck eating it on a hot day! Must visit Sweet Tooth if you come to Marine City. read more

What a fun place to spend some time this afternoon. It was hard to make up my mind... CANDY... CANDY everywhere!! I finally decided on the chocolate covered Twinkies on a stick and some chocolate covered Oreos that were peaking out at me from behind the glass case. The Twinkies were a thumbs up according to my kiddos, and a reason to go back for more! I can't wait to surprise my granddaughter with a trip here someday. She will be amazed!! read more

Food allergies are not a problem here. They gladly look up the ingredients and have a separate place for the ice cream that has no milk. Old fashion candies buy by the pound. They even forgive you if you don't follow the rules and mix the candies cost different amounts. read more

This place is wonderful!! They have all sorts of specialty and nostalgic candies. I found some chocolate 'rocks' that look like river stones to use for a novelty favor at a retirement party. (Put them in a baggie and made a label that said "retirement rocks"). Bought some brownie pops for a girls night out party last month, and they were the talk of the party. The saleslady was very friendly here as well and asked if I had any questions or needed help with anything, when I was in the store. This is the sweet & perfect candy shoppe like you see in all the great movies. This is the place where little faces light up when you bring them through the door. Mr Todd makes sure to treat all the children like royalty and makes the entire experience so precious. The selection is amazing as is the quality of these hand made treats. They carry an amazing amount of retro candies, Hudsonville ice cream and anything else you can think of in sweet treats. The shoppe also makes the most amazing sweets & treats for any occasion. Richmond doesn't have many ice cream options so we opt to take a little drive and visit Arctic Queen. The menu was pretty large. There's 24 flavors of soft serve, hard ice cream available plus so many options for flurries, sundaes, and drinks. I got my favorite dirt sundae. For $3.80 it was pretty large and had plenty of gummy worms and crushed cookie topping. It had some of the toppings at the bottom of the dish which is great when you're getting to the bottom of the bowl and all you think you have left is vanilla ice cream. The prices were very reasonable. Can't wait to come back and try more flavors and more menu options.
