Terrible people to do business with…read more I bid on, and won an item from this store on GunBroker, at a price below what they typically go for, and attempted to get in contact with them to clarify how they wanted the FFL information sent to them. I called twice and sent them several messages through GunBroker's internal messaging system and got no replies. A month later, they finally got in contact saying they were filing a nonpaying bidder report against me, despite me attempting many times to get in contact with them. I would not do business with this store again as they have shown they are dishonest and willing to screw people over when it is convenient for them.

It's a scam.

This is my first negative review on Yelp. Unbelievably rude service. Came in to politely offer a…read moretrade which this guy immediately took as a d**k measuring contest even though I bought about $250 worth of merchandise from this guy the day before (I should've learned my lesson because he patronized a teenager asking an honest question about fishing equipment while I was checking out). This person didnt even know what I had because it took him 5 minutes to look it up in his computer. Instead of giving me a counter offer, the guy laughed at me and just told me "not even close." I asked him "well how 'not even close' am I" about 3 times. He tried to lecture me about how he can't price gauge his customers for anything less than 83% markup. He offered me less than half of what the gun is worth on the market. I said no thanks and he didn't even thank me for coming in. I hold 1 on 1 negotiations for $1 million - $50 million dollar deals in my day job. There is understandably some tension in those negotiations. But this guy is so insecure that he can't negotiate with a would-be long-term customer over only hundreds of dollars without being courteous and polite. I concur with Mark M. and David C., this place should be called "Frownies" and it's the worst place ever. Just wish I could return that purchase from the day before in protest of this customer service nightmare. That guy's momma did a bad job. Never shopping at "Smiley's" again. Go out of town to avoid this place. You'll be smiling if you do.

Well above average for an independent gun shop. I was not too impressed with the large knife area; there was some good stuff but also a lot of cheap junk knifes of the 'fantasy' variety (not serious 'using' knives) which seems out of character with the rest of the store.
