Came to the Florida Keys from Arizona for our boys Spring Break. My two boys and I love to fish so we found The Tackle Box!! We asked one of their staff member what we need to get up and running for some shore fishing at the resort we were staying at. Adam was super patient and got us all set up with poles, hooks, and live bait. We ended up going back to The Tackle Box the next day for some more live bait and ended up buying their fishing charter last moment for the next mid morning. Got to the docks about one hour early and Chris the owner and first mate Adam were there ready to go!! Chris and Adam were very professional, knowledgeable and patient with my boys and had fish on within a matter minutes! Very helpful tackle shop. Had everything we needed to fish the gulf. Being it was my first time fishing the Keys we stopped in to get information about fishing the seven mile bridge. The nice lady working was spot on with the information she provided. We had a great three days of fishing and caught numerous types of fish. read more

Started as a non local complete novice and Chris at The Tackle Box was the only shop that would take the time to help my group get set up. Still a novice but now own a home in KCB and The Tackle Box is the only shop we frequent. After arriving at our home this is our first stop the next morning as I've always gotta ask questions and expand our setup. We had rented a boat for a couple of days to do some deep sea fishing. Prior to flying down we had scoured the internet to see where we could rent poles and tackle. Along the main road we stopped at several of the stores that had said they rented equipment. The rods and reels were light tackle only and they were a mess. Our last stop was into the Tackle Box. It was one of the only shops that actually greeted us and took the time to hear what we were looking for. Chris and Mike enlightened us that there wasn't anyone that rents decent tackle. They had rods and reel set ups all ready to go at reasonable price. Although, to be honest we hadn't looked elsewhere so we were taking them at their word. We bought two rods and reels. Mike took quite a bit of time helping us pick out the terminal tackle and showed us how to tie knots to set up our own leaders. Then he showed us which bait to buy and how how to properly put each bait on the hook. It was a great experience all around, especially compared to another tackle/bait store we had stopped into, Later in the week we looked to see if we had gotten the rods for a reasonable price and sure enough we had.
