I can not even begin to say how grateful I am to have found this studio for my daughter. My daughter attended another studio previously, and a couple of local ballet schools through the years, but it was The Talent Factory that truly prepared her for her current enrollment in a top BFA dance program in NYC. Without the expertise and care that her Talent Factory teachers gave her she would not be on her path towards a professional dance career. The studios are gorgeous and the teachers are not only amazing technical teachers, but they inspire their students in a way that makes them continue to grow in their love of dance. Dana and Hugo strive to offer top opportunities to their dancers. They encourage older dancers to take summers to attend summer intensives outside the studio while also bringing in amazing, and highly sought after, master class teachers to the studio. These master classes are held throughout the year. Tara is an amazing teacher, and there are not enough words to describe her. I have said, on multiple occasions, that all dancers should experience Tara's classes at least once in their life. Her passion and love for dance is contagious, and dancers under her instruction can't help but to grow... not only technically but artistically. You'll be hard pressed to find any other studio that can offer the variety and hours of classes that Talent Factory can offer. The focus on technique is first and foremost. This is not a studio where the classes are used to learn and run dances over and over. Because the technical training is so strong they don't need to take up class time running dances over and over. The love that these teachers have for their students is unbelievable. From the second your dancer walks into their class they are welcomed as part of the Talent Factory family. And once your dancer graduates and moves on that doesn't change. Talent Factory graduates will often be found in the studio taking classes while they're home on college breaks. The Talent Factory has not only been the best dance studio I have ever known, but the best second home a dancer could have. Every day at Talent Factory, dancers are presented with challenging and helpful classes, surrounded by passionate and supportive friends, dancers, parents, and teachers, and given amazing opportunities. My daughter has been at the studio for almost 10 years and we truly feel like part of a family. You will always be greeted with a friendly smile when you walk through the door. It is always a good feeling to know that you are leaving your child in safe environment with people who care. The Talent Factory teaches their students more than dance and performance techniques. Being part of the a competitive team has taught my daughter the importance of keeping commitments, collaboration, goal setting, time management, and setting expectations. I have never witnessed a group of kids that all continuously support and respect each other. My daughter has always been welcomed and mentored by the older students. At every competition or convention the whole group sticks together as a team and cheers each other on throughout the day. No one is ever left out. Our daughters have always loved dance so we wanted to find a studio that offers high quality training in a positive environment. We found what we were looking for at The Talent Factory! The curriculum includes instruction in many genres including ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap and hip hop. We love that Pilates and yoga are part of their training as company dancers; Since they choose to dance whenever possible, strength and proper body mechanics are essential for injury prevention. The owners and teachers clearly love what they do! The support and encouragement from the director and teachers has helped our girls to build confidence and the ability to express themselves, in addition to developing their dance technique, and we truly appreciate that! This is by far the best and most professional studio in the state of Rhode Island. All the teachers care immensely for their students, and take the time to correct placement on each dancer in order to properly train them. The Talent Factory has proven to be a home away from home for my daughter. The staff know me by name and always greet my daughter and I upon arrival. The instructors are highly trained, and have high expectations of their students. The price for classes does not begin to reflect the attention and care the staff gives the children. The Talent Facory is an incredible studio to bring your dancer. Because of its distance from our home (50+ miles), I am only able to bring my daughter there to take classes once a week. She takes classes with the company and has never been treated any differently than any of the dancers. Miss Tara is inspirational and always has new combinations for the dancers every week.
