He plays every sport because it is a small school and all the kids join in. Many of the teachers attend the sports events to show support for their students. It's is such a great feeling to know that your child feels totally supported by their school and their teachers. He has really grown and matured as a student in this remarkable environment and he adores the teaching staff. We could not be happier with our experience at Palm Valley School and we find it to be worth every penny. We have toured other schools in the area both for grammar school and high school and there is no other option in our opinion. Having relocated temporarily during the pandemic and we thought we might stay for one year but we decided to relocate our family from Marina del Rey solely because our son is so happy and thriving academically of Palm Valley School. Yes, we left the beach because nothing is better than a happy thriving kid!! This school would be 50k in the Los Angeles area and the class sizes would be far larger. Additionally, the families at PVS are down to earth and the PVS community in general is very warm and welcoming. We plan on staying until our son graduates. My only regret is that he did not start at Palm Valley School in kindergarten. PVS may be the best parenting decision we have made thus far.

I have received hundreds of massages over the years, but this was one of the very best of all of them. When I checked out to pay, I was met by Heather, who was was extremely professional, personable, and efficient, and booked me next week for my next massage with Ashlyn. I've had my hair cut, colored, high lighted, manicures, pedicures, full sets and skin care appointments, and the students have consistently done a wonderful job. My services have always been enjoyable, which is why it's disappointing to write this review. My concern isn't with the students it's with how the advertised senior discount is now being applied. The Milan Institute advertises a 20% Senior/Military Discount on hair, nail, and skincare services. For all of my previous visits, the discount was applied in a way that matched my understanding of the advertisement. However, during my last appointment, I was told the discount only applies to one service on my ticket instead of all eligible services received during the same visit. As a senior on a fixed income, that made a significant difference. My appointments that were typically around $110 increased to more than $160 because of how the discount was calculated. Palm Desert and surrounding areas have a large senior population, and many retirees choose Milan Institute because they believe they're receiving a meaningful senior discount. If the discount is intended to apply only to the highest-priced service on your ticket or only one service per visit, I believe that limitation should be clearly disclosed in the website advertisement so customers know exactly what to expect before booking multiple services. I'm giving two stars because the students continue to provide excellent work, but I want other seniors to be aware that the advertised discount may not be be applied the way they might reasonably expect. I truly hope Milan Institute clarifies its senior discount policy so customers can make informed decisions.

He was friendly and had a nice sense of humor. Sal provided a great overview of the course and very concise information on situations involving adults, children, and infants. I have been very disappointed with my experience at this school. From my perspective, the school…read moreseems to put a strong emphasis on fundraising and getting families to donate money. During fundraising campaigns, families are repeatedly encouraged and pressured to contribute, and it can feel like there is a constant expectation to give more. What is especially concerning is the way students are rewarded for fundraising. Students who raise more money or whose families contribute are given incentives such as ice cream, burgers, glow parties, and other rewards. While I understand wanting to encourage fundraising, I don't believe children should feel that they are being rewarded or left out based on how much money their families can contribute. Another thing that I find particularly troubling is how the fundraising is displayed in the classroom. Teachers have a race-style game on the board with all of the students' names, and students move forward as they raise certain amounts of money to earn different rewards. This means that if a family does not donate or is unable to raise as much money, the child can visibly remain behind their classmates on the board, seeing that difference every day. As a parent, I find this very uncomfortable. Whether intentional or not, I believe this can make children feel embarrassed, singled out, or like they are falling behind simply because their families are not contributing as much money. Elementary-age children should not have to carry the emotional burden of their family's ability or inability to donate. Fundraising should be about supporting the school, not creating a visible ranking system among children based on how much money they raise. There are many ways a school can recognize fundraising efforts without making children feel like they are being rewarded or punished based on their family's financial contributions. I hope the school will reconsider this approach and find ways to support its financial needs without putting so much pressure on families or making children feel left out. A school should be a place where children feel included, valued, and supported regardless of how much money their families are able to contribute.

She spent about 20 mins one-on-one with me before I even committed to sending my child to this school. It was a great introduction! All the teachers are wonderful.
