Did a little staycation and such a cute hotel! The room was almost freezing (yesss), the service was top tier, and the location was prime. Absolutely loved the rooftop, heated saltwater pool - a little sad that there was a private event that cut into our time there, but still loved it! The food is pricey... and it's good, but I feel you could walk / quick drive elsewhere for just as good / better and lower prices, but I get it, you're also paying for convenience. The service though honestly was phenomenal! Every single person I came into contact with. Valet is almost $60/night but with the prices of parking around that area, really not bad. Love that the $40 resort fee includes $30 in food/beverage and a free water taxi ride AND entrance into the Tampa history museum. The rooftop itself is gorgeous, with a modern and upscale aesthetic and a beautiful city view. Now about the food and drinks: the cocktail I had was fine, but not the best I've ever had. The Tampa Edition is absolutely top notch. Well situated in terms of access to downtown sites and attractions. That said, the amenities are so good you don't have any reason to leave. The room was well appointed, with Le Labo bathroom amenities. The general vibe is a clean and modern one, with lots of white and solid lines in the decor. The food and beverage situation was next level, we tried Lilac, Market, and the Punch Room during our stay. All were great in their own way. Rooftop pool area was nice, and not at all crowded. The fitness center was on the smaller side, but had about everything you might need. We will certainly be back! read more

This hotel is amazing and beautiful at every turn. We stayed here as part of the Amex Platinum Fine Hotel program. It has to be booked through Amex travel and the nightly rate is higher than booking directly through the hotel. It does give multiple perks. We get $200 back on the room rate, $100 to spend at the hotel restaurants or spa, $85 credit toward breakfast, early checkin (we were in our room at noon), and late checkout (we could have stayed until 4pm). The hotel has a $45 resort fee (I think) but you get $40 credit toward use at one of the restaurants. Valet parking is $54/night. At checkout we realized that the credits don't get added together and used toward meals. The $85 for breakfast can only be used at breakfast and unused money does not go toward other charges. Now we know. If you can't check in right away, they will hold your bags. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the lobby area. They also will give you cartons of water. We took advantage of the free admission to the Tampa Bay History Center and the free water taxi ride. The round-trip water taxi ride ended up being a hop on hop off type taxi that goes all around Tampa Bay and up one of the side water areas. The room was larger than a standard room with modern furniture. My husband banged his lower leg on the platform bed, so be careful with that. The mini bar area was extensive with 375 mL bottles of liquor. The prices were outrageous, like seven dollars for a can of diet soda. There's a Publix across the street. You use your key card to get up to the guest floors so that is nice security. The valet was quick to bring our car but just notify them ahead of time like it says on the ticket. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was not too busy on the Sunday night before Christmas. They have a variety of lighting in the room. I loved the robes provided in the room. The shower had a rain shower head and handheld shower head with no bathtub. They probably have some rooms that do have a bathtub. The pool is located threw part of one of the restaurants so I'm not sure how that works with kids that might be used to wearing their bathing suit from the hotel room to the pool. Apparently the outside pool area is for hotel guests only up until a certain point at night. Also, I read that on Friday and Saturday night it turns into a nightclub type vibe with DJ. read more

The heated pool was perfect, especially on a breezy day, making it easy to lounge and unwind. Lunch and cocktails poolside were a treat--the lemon drop martinis were perfectly balanced, and the Greek salad with added chicken was light, refreshing, and flavorful. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the aesthetic of the lobby,every detail was stunning! I can only imagine what the rooms look like. I love the overall feel of The Edition when you walk in. It's definitely smaller than the Miami location but still the same feel. Lots of white with so many pretty plants. We've been meaning to visit the rooftop bar and finally got to it. You can totally just walk outside and enjoy the sunset without purchasing drinks, they weren't strict about buying anything. The drinks are a little pricey, but pretty much you know you're paying for the location. We tried two different cocktails on the menu. I got the Green Juice Gimlet, $20 and my husband got the Garden Margarita, $19. Of the two I preferred the Gimlet but maybe it's just because I'm never a huge fan of mezcal. Fabulous rooftop bar with beautiful city and water views! I felt like a celebrity visiting this very high end hotel. It smelled amazing of course as soon as we walked in. We were meeting friends in the lobby and sat for a few minutes to admire all of the plants and architecture. We took the elevator up to the roof and grabbed seats at the bar right away. There were people enjoying lunch, lounging poolside, and swimming. The flowers and plants makes it feel like you are at a conservatory. Absolutely beautiful! Very beautiful overall. That including interior decoration and bathrooms. Went to the cafe within the lobby area (turn right when you enter) and got a Coffee, Matcha, and a sweet Cinnabon. Matcha isn't sweet FYI, but that's okay because that's how typical matcha is. Coffee was good and Cinnabon was pretty good too, the lady was also nice enough to plate it nicely for my girlfriend to take a picture. The cafe workers overall were very kind people so definitely give them a raise. What made it 3 stars was the older people who are at the front disk who didn't really welcome us because I guess we looked out of place compared to the treatment they gave to 2 older men who looked more put together in suits. Overall nice lobby and cafe area. Wouldn't come again unless I wanted to take some pictures but that's really it. read more

On the surface, the lobby is beautiful and you feel as if you are walking into an oasis. But this missed the mark for us in multiple ways. The thing that was most off-putting was how crowded it was when we returned in the evening. I am not accustomed to five-star hotels having so many people in the lobby that you can't enjoy a cocktail at the bar or appreciate the hotel. I guess this is a place people go to "be seen," but I prefer a place that caters more to its paying hotel guests rather than random people off the street wanting to look and feel cool. It was a bummer to come back in the evening and feel we had to escape to our room because it was a zoo downstairs. I tried for a while to get a drink at the bar and just gave up. That's not what I expect for paying what we did for this hotel. And it was a Thursday, not even a weekend! The pool was the highlight though! Thankfully, they do not seem to allow non-guests to access the rooftop pool and bar area (at least when we were there), so that is a serene, lovely place to spend the afternoon. There are plenty of umbrellas to keep you cool, and the drink service, albeit pricey, is really prompt and friendly. The room didn't really impress. The decor was kind of a sterile vibe, and our view was of some parking lot and another building. There was some fuzzy blanket on my bed that had stains all over the underside (gross!!), so I quickly threw it on the floor. The bathroom was decent with a nice shower, but the toilet gave off an unpleasant odor. The price tag did not match what we received. Also, it is worth mentioning there is a weird odor throughout the hotel, especially the lobby. It was so intense that it gave me a bit of a sore throat by the second day. We even overheard random people commenting on how it "smelled" when they walked in. So fragrance sensitive people beware! To end on a positive note, though, the Market restaurant and the coffee bar were very good, with great service and food/drinks! read more

We used the valet service at Tampa Edition Hotel on November 10 and the staff were professional, friendly and prompt: 5 star service. The Edition restaurant had delicious food: 5 stars. However, it had gotten colder and we weren't prepared to eat outside, which we were told was the only available seating. Zach, our waiter, who gave us 5 star service, attempted to allow us to sit inside, but was unsuccessful. There were numerous unoccupied tables, both when we arrived and when we left. As for the manager who refused to allow us to dine inside, if negative star reviews could be given, you would deserve one. Dining is part of the hospitality business. You may want to rethink your career choices. Something like ditch digging may be more appropriate. read more

The facility is very relaxing, clean and their signature scent is intoxicating (I purchased their candle to bring the scent home). Every spa service booked allows you access to their showers, sauna/steam room, and complimentary valet. It's not something I would do often, but definitely a nice treat from time to time or for special occasions. I would like to thank the staff for being so accommodating, friendly and down to earth.
