I think this place has one of the prettiest bar/restaurant food spaces. My picture doesn't do it justice. You need to see it for yourself. They can accommodate small and large groups. The pool area is beautiful and easily the hotel's best feature. Unfortunately, our stay had several drawbacks. The hotel lost power for several hours, which was a major inconvenience and forced the on-site restaurant to close. Several bath towels were worn and had holes. There were also no ice machines, we had to repeatedly call the front desk for a small bucket of ice. The rooms also lacked a coffee maker and microwave. Parking is another challenge. There is no self-parking on-site. Your options are a $40-per-day valet service or a nearby private lot for about $22 per night. When I asked about alternatives to valet, the front desk employee seemed annoyed. Loading and unloading luggage was also frustrating because the front entrance is reserved for valet, and the valet staff did not seem pleased when we briefly pulled up. The billing was also disappointing. Our $257 nightly room ended up costing nearly $331 per night (not including parking) after a mandatory amenity fee, multiple taxes, and a $26 credit card recovery fee. Overall, the hotel has some nice features, but the service, amenities, parking, and added fees made it feel overpriced for the experience. read more

Loved this Hotel!!! The people were super friendly and accommodating. The bar was great and later in the week they even have live music. There is a nice boutique cafe inside as well. Of course they do have a selection of cigars if you like to smoke. The surrounding area is fun and vibrant. There are also free range roosters all over the area that are amusing to watch. Just stayed here recently and had a great experience! I would definitely book this hotel again. I visited Tampa for a few days for a work event and my coworker recommended this hotel and Ybor in general. I arrived around noon and was very excited to hear they could check me in early! I immediately dropped my stuff in the room and headed to the pool. It was clean and relaxing. They even provided towels and sunscreen! I ate at the coffee shop and had a glass of wine in the restaurant and will write separate reviews for those experiences, but honestly rate this whole hotel 5 stars all around. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. My only complaint is that the shower only has one door, so my bathroom floor was constantly soaked. Otherwise, everything else was perfect. Nice place but as a business traveler, I would not return since they do not have in room coffee makes OR coffee in the lobby (unless you want to pay dearly for it) like every major hotel franchise. It was also uncomfortable to have tons of candy and other food items in the room which we don't want but wondered if housekeeping was rewarded for. 5 stars for a hotel that feels boutique in the heart of Ybor (and its dog friendly!). This is my new favorite hotel in Tampa, hands down. Everything from the uniquely Ybor-centric decor, to the lux pool deck and hip bar and restaurants, to the supremely comfortable and chic rooms makes this stand out above the larger corporate chains. I appreciated the adjoining coffee shop, bar, and restaurant. These spaces allowed for plenty of special nooks and vignettes for lounging and coworking during the day. Move over, stale business center! I got to work surrounded by tropical plants and the kind of interior decor that makes me want to invest in an interior decorator for my own home. Having a top-notch leadership team can make ever the biggest problems with a stay go away, and this team truly excels. Taking accountability for things out of their control is a great demonstration of leadership, hospitality, and service. The only thing the managers and directors could improve upon is one particularly sour team member who could use a year of intensive training under this team. I can not say enough good things about my stay at Hotel Haya. My flight got in early and they were not only able to check me in early, but also gave me an upgrade to a balcony room. From walking in the door, you feel like you're in a luxury hotel. Right away you have access to the cafe, restaurant, and the beautiful and private courtyard where the pool is. The rooms are modern and well thought out and I love how the layout of my room had the desk behind the bed and the bed overlooking the balcony. The balcony itself was great to have, but not super useful with only one chair and a side table. That is one area they could improve for sure. For amenities, I loved spending time at the pool lounging or even getting some work done on my laptop. I didn't eat at the restaurant but we did go to the bar one night and the cocktails were excellent. And Quiquiriqui cafe was the best for my daily iced guava latte. The location is amazing with all of Ybor outside the door and I hop that next time I'm in town that I can stay here again. read more

I haven't stayed at Hotel Haya but I have enjoyed walking throughout their lobby area and the bar area. Really hip and cool. They seem to do a lot of weddings there. A friend of mine said she stayed at this hotel and really like it... it was when their introductory rates were super low and as a new hotel they were just trying to get market awareness. Now.. their rates are really OTT.... but the convenience is second to none if you want to be in the Ybor City area. Make sure you check out their rates for overnight parking ! read more

Recently visited while some friends were in town and spent the evening there for the Gasparilla Knight parade is Ybor city. Amazing balconies for people watching and just enjoying our Feb FL weather! Suite was very nice with a corner balcony, nice living room for chillin, and a bed so cozy it's perfect for passing out. Bathroom and shower were yuge! This is the place to stay in the heart of Ybor. The staff is first rate, the rooms are delightful and the hotel is like a micro-city within a micro-city. The prices are reasonable and the area has everything one could imagine for food and entertainment. The only quibble we had is out "Balcony King" was more king than balcony, as the balcony was about 2' x 4'. Big enough to stand out side, but not much else. If you want a very pleasant space to stay while exploring Ybor? This is the place. A sold A from me. read more

Hotel Haya is a perfectly fine place but the area around has really declined. At night, the street scene outside gets extremely loud with modified mufflers and blasting music. This boutique hotel is absolutely stunning! I came here for a friend's wedding reception and it was incredible. When we first entered, we were ushered to the cafe section for the cocktail hour. There was a clear sign with drinks we could order. I adored all the natural lighting that spilled into this space. My fiancé and I also obsessed over Hotel Haya's creative logo. There were only a few cafe tables to sit at and we managed to grab one. It got really loud at one point, but was great overall. After about an hour, we transitioned to the wedding reception event room. This space was not only stunning, but super chic. The lights were cool and I thought it was lovely how we had all this natural lighting during the meal, then transitioned to night mode for the dancing. I'm not sure if the couple had to rent out the tables and chairs, but they were beautiful. It was easy to find the bathrooms outside the event room. They had women and mens restrooms. I did not spend the night at this hotel, but I loved their spaces. When we were leaving the wedding, the lounge section seemed to have some cool DJ set too. Didn't stay at this hotel but I did attend a wedding that was hosted here. The lobby and whole hotel is very nicely adorned and designed. The vibe is very modern and open, classy. The staff here were very efficient, the wedding was hosted on the east side of the lobby and the bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the art that still hangs on the wall. Several ladies met here for a meeting as we are looking into the possibility of planning an event there in the future. The bar area, pool area, and the entire first floor are elegant. The decor is so welcoming. The event space is also very nice. The restaurant was closed so we ate bar food. Best bar food I've ever had. I had the avocado alt and it came with the biggest and best fries. Others had burgers, soup, salad. The servings were large and the presentation was great. What a stunning hotel. I stayed here for a wedding taking place on the premises. First, I was grateful that they were able to accommodate early check in as I flew in the day of the wedding. Second, the hotel bar Flor Fina is not something to sleep on! While I waited for my room, I grabbed a bite to eat and one of their craft cocktails. Looking at their cocktail menu, how can you decide?! Excellent service and excellent food/drinks. My room was modern with a large bathroom to get ready in. Even with wedding rowdy guests on premises, I enjoy a quiet nights sleep! The pool is small but gets excellent afternoon sun. The cafe on premises is a great stop for your morning coffee or a quick breakfast. The wedding was beautiful and well done by Hotel Haya staff. They turned over the ceremony space quickly while we were poolside for the cocktail hour. The reception space was large but plenty of space to dance the night away. I loved the addition of the soft seating within the reception space. Many of the older wedding guests used this space to be close to what was happening on the dance floor. read more

One star deducted for: no champagne in bridal suite night of wedding- this is a no brainer. The service was awesome! The valet, café, front desk, maintenance, and kitchen staff were all very accommodating and helped quickly with the few issues we had. I'm giving this hotel 4 stars because of the staff. However, the property itself has a few areas of opportunity. The upper floors have a noticeable "old HVAC filter" smell, and our room had the same odor. The hotel aesthetic is beautiful and modern, so the smell was pretty distracting. A fresh, signature scent throughout the property would really elevate the experience. We also noticed a few small ants in the bathroom. On top of that, the shower diverter (the dial to switch from tub to shower) wasn't working properly, so I had to shower in standing water, and the dial actually fell out into the tub. Maintenance responded immediately, though, and the issue was fully resolved by the time we returned to our room that evening. On the positive side, the hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays, and housekeeping happily provided extra makeup wipes when I asked. Breakfast was excellent! The baristas made me the best lavender matcha, and one of the cooks was so kind and patient with my 6-year-old son when he had questions about his Cuban toast. I would stay here again because the staff truly shines--I just hope the odor and maintenance issues are addressed. Also, the daily valet rate for hotel guests should be clearly disclosed at booking. read more

My description of Hotel Haya is a boutique/cottage bed & breakfast yet larger in scale by its beauty-marked architecture. Inside of this modern structure are displays of mid-century art (1900's) & a plethora of activities happening to keep guests busy whilst in the heart of Ybor City. Located at the West end corner of the Ybor Strip on 7th Avenue, the hotel offers a restaurant: Flór Fina: which serves such a scrumptious menu I'll provide separate commentary on a later date. It also has a café dubbed "Quiquiriki" that serves a fabulous Cuban croissant (a must try) *Also a Tampa thing. The Hotel is surrounded by cigar bars, other restaurants, nightclubs, local eateries and a host of other businesses for pleasure or work. (I.e.) Newer hotel in ybor area. I'm a local so I already knew, any hotel on 7th Ave in ybor is going to be rowdy and noisy, so that was expected. The actual hotel is aesthetically pleasing, nice renovations, restaurants, pool area, reception hall (I attended a wedding). Only pet peeve is the parking situation. Valet is $35 for overnight - they do not have a private garage and essentially just park it in ybor lots from what I was told. I just opted to park across the street and pay for lot overnight pricing ($22). Super sketchy parking, lots of club goers, at one point someone was laying on the trunk of my car bc they were drunk... (I could see from my balcony). Other than that. It's in ybor. There's going to be noise. Know what you're getting into before staying here and later complaining about it. I wanted to like Hotel Haya, but the experience fell flat in too many ways. We stayed for 3 nights in January and we left unimpressed. The biggest issue was the staff -- largely unimpressive and seemingly uninterested in service. There was no sense of hospitality, no visible manager onsite, and no one appeared empowered (or motivated) to fix problems. It felt untrained and disengaged across the board. Parking is also insanely overpriced for Tampa, which immediately sets the tone before you even check in. We had lunch at Flor Fina and somehow they couldn't make a char-grilled chicken Caesar salad as described on their own menu -- a pretty basic request. Not a dealbreaker on its own, but it added to the overall sense of disorganization. The final straw was the room itself. Being on a lower floor meant waking up to roosters cackling starting around 5:00 a.m. -- not exactly the restful stay you expect from a hotel at this price point. The only real positive is the decor and ambiance, which are genuinely nice. Unfortunately, aesthetics don't make up for poor service. When the staff doesn't care and there's no leadership present, it just isn't worth it. There are far better places to stay in Tampa. I won't be back. read more

Beautiful modern hotel in Ybor. Location is quite nice. Close to many restaurants, breweries, and bars. The coffee shop in the hotel was nice to have. Valet was $35. No self park at the hotel. We had room 459, which had a balcony and faced 7th Ave. This is our first time in Tampa so we quickly discovered that Ybor was pretty dead during the day (it was also extra hot and humid this particular weekend) but quite the party scene in the evening. We had to keep our tv on to drown out the noise outside at night since there are a couple bars across the street. Do highly recommend the hotel, but I would maybe keep in mind that facing 7th Ave may be quite loud. read more

So many disappointments I don't know where to start. It looked significantly better online. The ceilings and the walls were marred and looked trashy. There was no Keurig in the room. There was no phone in the room, so there was no easy/convenient way to contact the front desk when needed. We had to text and there was never any acknowledgment of text, There were no extra toilet paper rolls. We were there four days and they didn't come to clean the room once. The valet was $40 a day. The young men working in the valet were the highlight of our stay. They were very friendly and respectful. Five stars for the valet workers. The fees for the valet and fees for amenities were not verbally disclosed, and if they were disclosed in print somewhere prior to booking, it had to have been the fine print because it was not clear or indicated that they existed. The pool area was nice and the lobby and coffee area was decent. But overall, the condition of the room and the lack of amenities in the room makes it infuriating that there was a daily amenity fee. Ridiculous!!' On top of all that it was in a dangerous area and we couldn't even enjoy walking outside. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

Two Young men who were friendly and helpful. Valet parking is the only option with in and out privileges. As you walk into this boutique hotel, it smelled good, appealing aesthetics and clean: the hotel spoke to all my senses and I felt my vacation in Tampa began. Service very friendly from the staff, helpful and our concierge at the front desk when we checked in last Saturday hooked us up. We had special requests about our room and they didn't disappoint. Key points that stood out about our stay: 1. It's clean form the lobby, elevator to our room 2. Smelled so good 3. Staff and customer service excellent 4. Location is close to the night life, Close enough yet far so you don't hear the noise 5. Interior Rooms are well insulated 6. Interior design is stunning, the colors of the room are modern, I loved the details weaving the cigar history into the architecture. 7. They have a restaurant which we didn't try and a cafe for breakfast. It smelled good thou next time we are in town we plan to stay here. 8. The designer do not disturb sign is chic on an emerald green satin chord. 9. All the love of serials is seen throughout the hotel and I appreciate such design thoughtfulness's. 10. Most importantly the room are quiet and the bed firm and comfortable. 11. You will get a goods night rest here. 12. Restaurants are all walking distance. Initially our stay started off nice but we had issues throughout the stay. You have to request room service and it only comes between a certain time. We were told our allotted time so we made plans to be out of the room for the duration of the cleaning and when we came back nothing had been done. I had a broken foot at the time and requested ice up to the room and they never came. I had to call a second time. Then on the morning of our check out there was a cockroach in the bathroom and the idea of it being near our tooth brush and toiletries was gross so we threw them away. I showed the video to the woman at the front desk and she was just like "sorry bout it" oy" | at least expected them to compensate us for the candy bar we ate in the room. We got a cafe con leche on our way out and the barista announced a "latte" for Chris and when he asked if it was a cafe con leche she said that's what she meant to say but it was in fact a latte and re argued with me about remaking it and then finally the $321.50 hold for incidentals didn't fall off my account until almost a month. The hotel came highly recommended because I'm friends with the family of one of the managing partners Joe Capitano. read more

I was a bit taken back that you have to call for ice. Especially when they have drinks and glasses available for purchase in the room. I was also a bit bothered no coffee/Keurig/Nespresso machine in the room? I don't even know the last time I was in a room without one. There are not many receptacles, and had to unplug the clock to plug in iphone power box, ( clock plug was bulky as is a iPhone power box, and only usb) No extra blanket available and only a thin sheet and thin like duvet- No idea what an amenity fee is and why I'm charged that. Only valet parking is available, but reasonable. The room was nice overall! Not sure if I would stay here again as I expected more. read more

This hotel was amazing from the second I arrived until the second I checked out. The valet employees were professional and efficient and set the tone for the whole stay. The front desk staff were very hospitable making it an easy check-in. The room was spotless and I couldn't hear other guests throughout my entire stay except for some kids in the hallway. If that bothers people then an airbnb in a nice quiet neighborhood is where you should go and not to a hotel. The bed was comfortable and I wanted to take the pillows home! The bathroom was spectacular! The only thing was they did not provide hand soap and the shampoo and conditioner were much smaller than at the average hotel. Room service went smoothly. I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts! Also, I called the front desk asking if they had a wine opener and it was at my door within 10 minutes. It's also a great location on 7th Ave, which is the Main Street in Ybor. Get some NY pizza! The only downsides were that the valet and amenity charges were expensive and daily, there was no room for personal refrigeration as they have their own items in them that are available for purchase, lack of toiletries, and no coffee maker in the room.
