He's super friendly, very responsive and dependable! He is such a hard worker and is always there when there is a maintenance issue. AND I've never seen anything he can't fix!! read more

The tannery is a beautiful property and well kept with friendly staff and residents. It would be nice if there were more than one fire pit for the whole neighborhood as well as a jacuzzi in the spa area. One other complaint is that the walls are so so thin, you can hear every noise the residents above you make and can disturb you. Other than that it's pretty nice. read more

The Tannery is such a fantastic place to live. I've been here for two years so far & I have nothing but great things to say about it. The apartments are beautiful, and in great shape. The amenities are out of this world. The pool, gym, patio, and club house make this such an amazing place to hang out with friends. The staff is truly second to none. Kamari & Brittany in the office, and Rich & Will with maintenance are the hardest workers and keep this place impeccable 24/7, and they are truly the nicest people I've ever met. The location of this property is less than a mile to the center of town, and perfect for walking and running. I am thankful to live here every day. read more

The Tannery is a beautiful setting and the convenience of the location is hard to beat. Overall, the apartments are well maintained and modern. This all comes at a cost- and you can bet on an increase if you renew your initial lease. I lived in a first floor apartment for 18 months. The walls are thin- so if you are near a stairwell you will hear the foot traffic constantly. The apartment directly above me had a corporate lease- which meant that there was no consistency with the tenants. Every 1-2 months there was a new person/persons and the ones just before I moved were horrible. Yes- after several weeks of the constant noise I did speak to the front desk but there is not really much that can be done. Office staff are friendly enough- but response time was lagging. Package delivery was also an issue pretty much the whole time I lived there. Frequent inspections for multiple things that were "mandatory" and you could not reschedule...they pretty much came in whenever they pleased and technically this is legal if they give you notice. The pool is not quite large enough for the population and on hot summer days it's not worth it- you are allowed to have friends visit and use the amenities but when you have multiple families with their friends- it turns into a kids pool party on a daily basis. On top of rent, all utilities are extra, including the valet trash which is not optional. It is a nice feature- but there is no pick up on weekends and most of the time I took my own recyclables to the dumpster because they require it be placed in a plastic bag... which kind of defeats the purpose of recycling. Parking can be an issue sometimes- especially because they allow overflow parking for The Beamhouse pretty much anywhere. The kicker for me was getting charged $150 for them to remove a glass cabinet on the wall in the bathroom that was there when I moved in! Despite showing them video and photos of the first day I moved in, I have yet to be refunded...and I moved out 6 months ago and sent several follow up emails that go unanswered. Overall, is it worth it? I can't say yes. read more

Brittany was the best person to lease with. The complex is extremely nice and has been a great experience. The culture here is extremely nice. They haven't finished the work out room yet, but it looks extremely nice from the outside. I haven't had any issues. If you work with anyone work with Brittany or Eric. I've been living at The tannery since May and I'm very happy. We looked at 3 other properties before deciding on this one. The apartment itself is very nice - new, modern, aesthetically beautiful and the property as a whole is kept very well & immaculate. Everything is brand new and top of the line. The Tannery is also in a great location in Glastonbury - it's near the downtown area & central to a lot of great restaurants. The community itself is peaceful, quiet and diverse, which I like. From a maintenance perspective: I am pretty needy and incapable of anything handy, Byron & his team are amazing, responsive and efficient. They've installed ceiling fans for me, etc. From a management perspective Nicki, Eric & Brittany are awesome. They are reliable and awesome to work with. Also they have charging stations for electric cars, tons of parking options, etc. I really have no complaints. If you are considering living here I would go for it. read more

The Tannery is a beautiful property in a great (and quiet) location. Great amenities, and it's excellent for dog owners. The only "con" that I can notice is that they are not clear with who's responsible for certain maintenance. For example, my refrigerator water filter needed to be replaced and I submitted a work order for it, and they told me it was my responsibility to buy it because it was an "expensive" part and they don't stock such items. According to them a water filter is an "extra" or "luxury" and not something you need. Which is weird considering every other place provide such maintenance when you rent. read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I will break this down into 3 parts and they are as follows: 1. Build/Living Experience. 2. Cost/Amenities 3. Staff/Humanity/Flexibility. Let's start at the beginning: 1. The layout of the property is nice and adjacent to walking trails. The condos look lovely and feature a very modern interior. That's where the good ends. The walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERYTHING going on around you, the plumbing is poorly done and within 2 days of living in the condo, we experienced backed up toilets, poor water pressure, and issues with the water filter on the refrigerator. The washer and dryer are LOUD because they did not insulate the laundry area properly. The parking spaces are very narrow and there are not enough lights in the parking lot to keep your property safe. 2. Cost vs. Features. This place is not cheap for what you actually get. They do offer a pool, area for parties, and a gym. However, those are basic things that you should get when you choose to live in a community. I've never seen the pool actually open, the gym is actually quite nice. The community area is locked most of the time. You pay $50 for every extra key beyond 2- which is insane if you have a 3 bedroom apartment with kids. You cannot take out your own trash, you have to use the small trash can they give you and the trash valet and then pay them $20+ a month to do so and there is no opt out. You pay a monthly pet rent, which is fine, but there are only a few doggy stations around the property and there are some poisonous plants around the property that could kill your pooch. Who puts poisonous plants on a dog-friendly property? Lastly, They highlight that you can pay your rent online and how convenient that is. What they don't tell you at signing is that they charge you a HUGE fee to process this payment. For our 3 bedroom, we pay over $80 in the fee to pay online. 3. The Staff....Oh, this is where things really go off the rail. Some of the staff are nice and try to work with residents but EVERYONE says that they have to talk to "Abby" but then never follow up with you because they have yet to hear back from this imaginary person. They do not take into account your needs as a resident. They do not understand the requirements or needs of residents moving in or out and working with long distant moving companies. They care more about their "asphalt" and "processes" then understanding requirements or timelines that work for residents. We chose to move into the Tannery after we sold our house as a temporary measure until a contract wrapped up and we could move out of state. We have had nothing but issues and frustrations with the office staff. They do not offer "solutions" they only tell you what works for them and what's expected of the residents instead of actually seeing the human they are dealing with and trying to find something that works for both the company and the resident. They are rude, inconsiderate, chastising, and quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever received while paying over $3k a month. There are new luxury apartments being built in downtown Glastonbury, I'd recommend going and talking to them over choosing the tannery. Lastly, They will advise that they try to "work" with you but the fact is they don't make any effort to "work" with you but honestly they don't even try to help. They just advise what is good for them. I have lived in 5 states and I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life especially for a "luxury" complex. AVOID at all costs. read more

We have been residing at the Tannery since June 2018 now. I must say the quality of service is excellent here. Last night I was locked out of my apartment accidentally. while I was thinking of checking into a hotel for the night, I tried calling the emergency help services at Tannery. With in a very short span of time Richard Lemke arrived to assist me with getting me and my kids back in the apartment. He was extremely kind and helpful with the whole episode. I have lived at other apartments but this kind is service is something that I haven't experienced before. Thank you Richard Lemke! read more

We've been trying to get information about leasing an apartment here and have not received one single return call. We called last Friday and left a voice mail, drove over to the leasing office on Monday and the door was locked (office hours on door stated they were open until 4:30pm and we arrived at around 2:30 pm) - we tried to call the office number and received a voice mail (left another message). We called again when we got home and someone in their corporate office answered, took a message, and assured us someone would call us right away ... still no call. Against my better judgement, I called the local office today and no one answered, got someone in corporate that returned my call and assured me that I would receive a call from the leasing office ... that was hours ago and still no call. Good luck renting these apartments (that are under construction) when you can't be bothered to return one single call. read more

I moved into The Tannery about 2 1/2 weeks ago after re-locating here from the West Coast. It has been everything I hoped for and more. For example, the location works out even better than I thought it would for someone who works in East Hartford, while living and shopping in Glastonbury. All of the office staff (i.e. Maria, Brittany, Jennifer and Kamari) have been tremendously helpful in answering a multitude of questions that have popped up along the way. I have also appreciated the multiple instances of unexpected assistance that I have received from them over these first couple of weeks. Not to be outdone, the performance of the maintenance staff (specifically Rich and Guillermo) have been just as impressive. My wife arrives tomorrow and I can't wait to show her our new home. read more

I just wanted to take the time to acknowledge how awesome and accommodating Rich from maintenance has been the whole time we have been at the Tannery but, especially this past week. There was a fire inspection scheduled in our building on a day my husband and I were both working, and our dog was going to be home alone. Rich went out of his way to reschedule an apt with the fire marshal and myself to ensure I was comfortable and not worried about people entering our apt when the dog was home alone!
