The char grilled oysters were also a special that evening, so of course we had to try a half dozen. Everything was delicious, but the hanger steak and shrimp were definitely the standouts for me. I really enjoyed being able to order several smaller plates and experience a little bit of everything. The food was flavorful, the service was helpful, and there are still several things on the menu I want to try. The lamb sliders are already on my list for my next visit. Waited and waited for our food, asked about it multiple times, were ignored. Finally saw our food sitting on a back counter but no one brought it to us. When I finally went to the counter and asked if we could get our food was told "It's not my job to serve food". I had to ask to be given the food and brought it to our table myself. By that time the food was over cooked, cold and the cheese on the hamburgers had hardened again due to the cold burgers. Not what I would have expected of Legends. Very disappointed.

The pork porterhouse was cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor. My only minor critique was that the mint on the zucchini was a little stronger than my personal preference. Overall, it's not quite a 5-star experience for me because a few menu items don't quite justify their price. Even so, the attention to detail in both the food and service really stood out. Vestal is a beautiful restaurant, and it's one we'll happily return to whenever we're in the Lafayette area.

Our waitress was super friendly, patient, and helpful, and everyone we met was welcoming. They even brought us a complimentary cheese dip for our first visit--it was amazing! We tried the spicy pesto chicken flatbread, which was flavorful and filling. This place has a fun sports bar vibe with a huge bar, but it's very family-friendly with plenty of seating, including cozy couches and booths. We also played some simulated games for $10/hour which was a steal! (Prices do vary during busy times!)
